1. The Investor Education and Protection Fund Authority (IEPFA), operating under the Ministry of Corporate Affairs, Government of India, in collaboration with the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI), has announced the rollout of its pilot initiative Niveshak Shivir.

2. UPI transactions increased by 41.7% in terms of volume and 30.3% in terms of Value ,  while NEFT transactions rose by 32.4 % in terms of volume and 13.4 % in terms of value in terms of volume , UPI transactions had the highest share 84 % in the total retail payment during 2024-25

3. The value and volume of coins in circulation increased by % and 3.6 % respectively, during 2024-25 As on March 31, 2025, coins of ₹1, ₹2, and ₹5 together constituted 81.6 % of the total  volume of coins in circulation, while in value terms, these denominations accounted for 64.2 %

4. The Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs chaired by the Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi has approved the increase in the Minimum Support Prices (MSP) for 14 Kharif Crops for Marketing Season 2025-26 by 1-14%

5. The union cabinet said the country achieved a record foodgrain production of 353.96 million tonnes in the current crop year to June which included an all time high output of 149.07 mt of rice , 117.51 mt of wheat and 42.28 mt of maize

The RBI updated digital lending guidelines, which say that lenders must exclude default loss gurantee (DLG) cover while making provisions for bad loans , could have been prompted by some Fintech entities becoming over reliant on lenders for business operations & the provisions have to be implemented by September 30.
