⭐ RBI Allows Minors Aged Above 10 To Independently Operate Bank Accounts
~ For minors aged below 10, the accounts can be opened and operated by their parents to legal guardians.
~ However, those aged 10 and above can be allowed to independently manage their accounts, depending on limits and terms set by the bank as part of its risk management policy. These terms must be communicated to the account holder.
~ Banks can also offer additional services such as internet banking, ATM or debit cards, and cheque books to minor account holders based on their policies and suitability for the customers.

~ China launched its first 10G broadband network in Sunan County, Hebei Province, on Sunday (April 20), marking a significant advancement in internet infrastructure.
~ The launch is a collaborative work of Huawei and China Unicom, and it aims to deliver download speeds up to 9,834 Mbps, upload speeds of 1,008 Mbps, and latency as low as 3 milliseconds.

👉 The government of India has extended the term of T Rabi Sankar as the deputy governor of Reserve Bank of India (RBI) for one more year with effect from 3 May 2024 or until further orders, whichever is earlier. He was appointed as the Deputy Governor of RBI in May 2021 for a period of three years.

👉 T Rabi Sankar joined the Reserve Bank of India in 1990 and has worked in various departments of the RBI. He was the Executive Director of RBI before being appointed as the deputy governor of RBI.
👉 T Rabi Sankar is also the Chairman, Indian Financial Technology and Allied Services (IFTAS); and member of the Governing Council of Institute for Development and Research in Banking Technology (IDRBT).
