Understand the logic behind multi-window MT4/MT5 robustness testing
One backtest is not a trading system.
In MetaTrader, most traders run one beautiful backtest, load the EA on a live account, and hope the same result continues. But markets change. Volatility changes. Spread changes. The exact period you tested may have been the easiest period your strategy ever had.

I Tested Waka Waka EA 20 Times for Prop Firm Passing… Here Are the Results #propfirm #ftmo #forex
I Tested Waka Waka EA 20 Times for Prop Firm Passing… Here Are the Results #propfirm #ftmo #forex

In this video, I tested the popular Waka Waka forex robot with FXRobustix to see how many times it could pass prop firm style challenges across multiple different market windows.

Most traders only run one MetaTrader backtest and assume the robot is good. But one backtest can be lucky, overfitted, or based on the perfect market period.

That is why I tested Waka Waka EA across 20 different robustness windows using FXRobustix.

Test setup shown in the report:

Platform: MT5
EA: WakaWakaprofitlock
Symbol / Timeframe: AUDCAD M5
Windows tested: 20
Hit target: 10
Profitable windows: 13
Blown accounts: 5
Total P/L: $1,897.33
Mean ROI: +0.95%
Best ROI: +8.80%
Worst ROI: -16.39%
Worst drawdown: 20.70%
Average drawdown: 7.10%
Average profit factor: 3.16

FXRobustix can help prop firm traders avoid trusting one lucky MT4/MT5 backtest.

Instead of testing one period, you can run multiple OOS windows and see:

how often EA hits target
how often it stays profitable
how often it blows
worst drawdown
profit factor stability

Passing prop firms is not about one perfect curve.

It is about finding strategies that survive different market windows.

FXRobustix shows the real survival picture before you risk a challenge account.
New FXRobustix prop firm case study.

Anonymous EA tested on MT5 / XAUUSD M5 with an 8% prop firm style target across 20 different OOS windows.

Results:

20 test windows
20 profitable
0 blown
6 hit 8% target
Mean ROI: +6.23%
Best ROI: +13.24%
Worst ROI: +0.04%
Worst DD: 2.93%
Avg DD: 1.20%
Avg PF: 3.63

This is why one MetaTrader backtest is not enough.

The EA did not hit the target every time, but it stayed profitable in every window and kept drawdown very low.

For prop firm testing, that matters.

Passing is not only about reaching the target fast.

It is also about surviving different market windows without breaking drawdown.

MetaTrader shows one curve.
FXRobustix shows the survival picture.

Pass Challenge FTMO with Better EA Backtesting? #ftmo #fundedtrader #trading #forexbacktesting
Trying to pass challenge FTMO style with a forex robot or Expert Advisor? Most traders make the same mistake:They run one MetaTrader backtest. The equity curve looks good. The EA hits the profit target. Then they think the robot is ready for a prop firm challenge. But one backtest does not prove the strategy is ready.
