Following the latest tendencies of US Trans Rights in some of its states, we announce that we now help transgender people and their relatives safely move from LGBTQIA+ dangerous states : Florida, Alabama, Montana, and other dangerous states as of HRC definition to safe ones.

We offer fundraising support (we spread the message about your fundraise) and safespace provision (we look for safespaces: temporary and permanent for you). Since FUR/HELP has no way to safely receive and store donations and grants for operations as of yet, because noone in FUR/HELP staff is safe as of yet or able to fiscal host. We are deeply disturbed and outraged by the recent suggestion from the so-called “family protection” Parental Chamber non-profit union of russia to ban furry communities because of their alleged link to LGBTQIA+ people. This suggestion is based on ignorance, prejudice, and fear-mongering, and it has no place in a democratic and inclusive society.

Furry is not a sexuality or a gender identity. It is a hobby, a form of self-expression, and a creative community that celebrates anthropomorphic animal characters. Many furries are also LGBTQIA+ people, but being a furry does not mean one is automatically part of the LGBTQIA+ community. There is nothing wrong or harmful about being a furry or being LGBTQIA+, and there is no evidence that either of these identities leads to any negative outcomes for individuals or society.

The furry community is a diverse and welcoming space that fosters friendship, joy, and creativity. It is also a safe haven for many LGBTQIA+ people who have faced discrimination, harassment, and violence in other spheres of life. The furry community has been a source of support, acceptance, and empowerment for many of us, and we are proud to be part of it.

We condemn the suggestion to ban furry communities as an attack on the freedom and dignity of both furries and LGBTQIA+ people. We call on all people of goodwill to stand with us in solidarity and to reject this hateful and harmful proposal. We urge the international community to respect and protect the rights of all citizens, regardless of their hobbies, sexualities, or gender identities. We affirm that furries and LGBTQIA+ people are valuable and valid members of society, and we will not let anyone tell us otherwise.

🇺🇦 A Decade of the Unbreakable Country

Today, Ukrainians across the globe observe the 10th anniversary of the tragic events on February 20, 2014. On that fateful day during the Euromaidan protests in Kyiv, nearly a hundred lives were lost as individuals peacefully advocating for freedom, democracy, and Ukraine's European future were brutally killed by the country's security forces.

We will forever remember each life lost, including Serhiy Nigoyan, Ivan Tarasyuk, Serhii Kemskyi, and many others, collectively known as the Heavenly Hundred. Our heartfelt condolences go out to their families, friends, and all those who knew these individuals. As we reflect on this 10-year milestone, we acknowledge not only the tragedy but also a decade of enduring war.

As a non-profit organization founded and staffed by individuals with Ukrainian roots, our mission is to support LGBTQIA individuals in Ukraine during hardship, be it in occupation, in danger or fighting danger.
