56 Years of Pride 🏳️🌈🏳️⚧️
FUR/HELP wishes the best Pride Month to all, and the most unpleasant to those that seek to defeat or discourage us.
We won't hide, we won't diminish, and we won't ask. We celebrate what's ours, we power those that with us, and we won't give up.
FUR/HELP stands with all LGBTQIA+ and continues to support and protect those that are stripped, marginalized and dehumanized.

Refugee rights are human rights
Today, as many refugees face adversity and discrimination, just based on the fact they had to flee to preserve themselves. We believe it's important to highlight refugee voices and support refugees on their journey to safety.
FUR/HELP stands strong with refugees worldwide and works to advance refugee rights worldwide. We believe that true human rights are only possible when the most discriminated and marginalized among us are granted the rights they deserve. Human rights are for all. We are also committed to providing more aid to refugees under our care and helping every refugee reach safety.
To refugees that see this, that had to flee their homes:
You are not alone.
Your courage and resilience are outstanding.
You deserve safety. You deserve rights. Deserve to be treated with respect and dignity.
We would forever stand with you.

Pride is never over, however it is time to celebrate the Disability Pride. Each July we gather to celebrate the courage of disabled people, that fight for their rights, for their visibility and for their voices to be heard.
Each disability is valid, even if it's not apparent, even if it's not diagnosed or visible.
In solidarity, FUR/HELP changes its logo to showcase a Disability Pride flag, as we did, the last Disability Pride. For the whole month.
Designed by Ann Magill in 2019, each color on the flag holds special meaning for people with disabilities:
— Red symbolizes physical disabilities.
— Yellow represents cognitive and intellectual disabilities.
— White stands for undiagnosed and hidden disabilities.
— Blue signifies mental health disabilities.
— Green is for sensory disabilities.
— Black honors those with disabilities who have passed away due to illness, negligence, suicide, or eugenics.
We stand with each disabled person, for their rights, dignity, and freedom.

Non-binary isn't a third gender. It's much more.
Today, let us honor the strength and courage of non-binary and trans people fighting for their freedom in different parts of our world.
Non-binary identity stands on its own, a valid and important part of the diverse LGBTQIA+ community. Each non-binary person has the right to choose their relationship to the transgender umbrella.
FUR/HELP stands firmly in support of non-binary rights and would always do everything for inclusion of non-binary people.

1037 years ago, today, Knyaz Volodymyr the Great has made fundamentals of what we know as Ukraine. As we have for all of our journey, we stand with LGBTQIA+ Ukrainians that not only fled their home and face adversity. But those that also protect Ukraine currently, with an LGBTQIA flag on their shoulder.
UKR:

❗️EMERGENCY: The scandalous draft law #12414, that defacto strips anti-corruption branches of Ukrainian government of independence was signed into power by Volodymyr Zelenskyy. FUR/HELP as a non-profit with heavy Ukrainian heritage stands against such acts against freedom. We would provide a full statement slightly later. We stand in support with protestors.

FUR/HELP stands firmly in support of Ukrainian people and their unwavering commitment to fair and democratic Ukraine. Ukraine where anti-corruption bodies are independent, where journalists can work without fear of persecution. We join them in protest and call for the international community to apply pressure on the Ukrainian government to veto this law, as it directly undermines democracy and rule of law.

Independence lives in people. Today, marks the day of a nation that chose freedom through courage — through the lives of millions who stand together to defend it, to fight for it.
From Lviv to Luhansk, Ukraine's story is one of unbroken spirit: building a future amid rocket strikes, finding solidarity even in extreme adversity. It’s in heroes like David Chychkan — who fought not just for Ukrainians, but for solidarity and equality across all Ukraine, and in every person who has fought or stood up for Ukraine, whether fighting before or now, supporting it from afar, or activists defending rights in Ukraine.
FUR/HELP stands with Ukraine. We were there at the beginning of our journey, we stand now, and we will always stand.

Today, we celebrate Bisexual Awareness Day and the end of Bisexual Awareness Week. Though it has existed since the ancient times and officially recognized at the end of the 19th century, bisexuality often is condemned and discriminated against.
Even now, bisexual people face misunderstanding of both heteronormative society and the LGBTQIA+ community itself. Such 'friendly fire' makes it difficult for bisexual people to find safe and understanding surroundings.
Today we want to remind everyone, that:
💖 Bisexuality is not a phase or a stepping stone — it's a complete and valid identity.
💜Bisexual people are as good at maintaining log-term relationships as people of any other orientations;
💙 Your bisexuality is valid regardless of who you were with and who you will be with.
❗️ Biphobia and bi-erasure are real challenges our community faces — we're here to support you and amplify your voice.
FUR/HELP strongly stands for advocating bisexual rights and supports cultural acceptance of the bisexual community.

🇸🇰 FUR/HELP's Statement regarding Slovakia's Enby Ban
We join others in strongly condemning the constitutional amendment passed by the Slovak Parliament on Friday, 26 September, which restricts legal gender recognition to a binary framework of ‘male’ and ‘female’ only.
We have no words to comment to such actions. This move is a continuation of a series of measures taken by the Slovak government to dismantle the rights of trans people, following several failed attempts to ban legal gender recognition.

Today is the International Lesbian Day, held on the 8 October every year, it’s a day for lesbians across the world to come together to celebrate their culture and history. We take this time to raise awareness of the lesbian community.
The “L” in LGBTQIA+ is not just a letter, it’s a legacy and history.
Remember, lesbians can still be trans and enby, can still be polyamorous, can still be aromantic or asexual, and of course can still be on the Multiattraction Spectrum. If lesbian energy reverberates through you, you are lesbian.
In a world that still silences and excludes, we demand safety, freedom, and justice for all lesbians everywhere.

International Pronouns Day is all about basic human respect. If you are not sure or forgot, it's not a big deal. You can always ask it.
Introduce yourself with pronouns, put it in your signatures or next to your name, wear a pronoun badge or even clothing with your pronouns. There are endless ways, but it always starts with one question: What are your pronouns?

Today is Intersex Awareness Day, a day to highlight experiences, pride, and identity of intersex people.
Intersex people are born with sex characteristics that don’t fit typical definitions of male or female, which shouldn't be subject to invasive, unnecessary and unconsenting surgical treatment.
FUR/HELP stood and continues to stand with Intersex people. We are committed to not only build welcoming spaces for Intersex people, but also to amplify their voices, build conversations that boost visibility and advance of Intersex people's rights, as well as each part of LGBTQIA+.
Each body is beautiful and is undeniably yours.

As we see more and more nations trample on LGBTQIA+ rights worldwide, Kazakhstan decided to join the bandwagon of belittling human rights, by attacking vulnerable minorities that would have a hard time defending themselves.
A lawmakers group within the parliament of Kazakhstan has given preliminary approval to a series of amendments that would ban "LGBTQ+ propaganda” online or in the media. With repeat offense, punishment up to 10 days in prison.
The amendments are not yet in power, for that it must face a full approval within the parliament and have a signature of the President of Kazakhstan, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, notorious for his anti-LGBTQIA+ stance.
As a nonprofit that cares deeply about the situation regarding the LGBTQIA+ rights, as any other human right within the post-soviet space, we join other human rights organizations in requesting that Kazakhstan withdraws such plans.
We still stand with the Kazakh LGBTQIA+ community and will stand.

Today, we remember all the trans people that we have lost in the ongoing battle for equal rights. Transphobia not only makes the lives of trans people harder, It also leads to them losing their lives or drives them to take their own life.
If you are trans then you should know you are stronger than you think, being trans is not only a brave decision but a protest in itself towards those who doubt you can be yourself and find happiness.

Today, 28th of November, is the day I created FUR/HELP three years ago with a simple goal in mind. To unite those like me in the fight for human rights and to help asylum seekers and refugees get to safety and be accompanied.
It's awesome how we grew since then, with more volunteers joining us than in any previous year, hopefully even more join with us once we become more widespread.
We have helped more than 20 people, and it's still growing with more and more requests that we try to go through. With plans to launch a new website, new guides for asylum seekers and refugees and a new Discord community.
We are sure to grow quicker next year.
I want to thank each one of you here, those that just found us, those that are amongst our partners in this fight for human rights, those that support us, and those that work within FUR/HELP to make it possible. Thank you to you all.
Together we would prove that help has no borders. ❤️
