🇸🇰 FUR/HELP's Statement regarding Slovakia's Enby Ban
We join others in strongly condemning the constitutional amendment passed by the Slovak Parliament on Friday, 26 September, which restricts legal gender recognition to a binary framework of ‘male’ and ‘female’ only.
We have no words to comment to such actions. This move is a continuation of a series of measures taken by the Slovak government to dismantle the rights of trans people, following several failed attempts to ban legal gender recognition.

Today is the International Lesbian Day, held on the 8 October every year, it’s a day for lesbians across the world to come together to celebrate their culture and history. We take this time to raise awareness of the lesbian community.
The “L” in LGBTQIA+ is not just a letter, it’s a legacy and history.
Remember, lesbians can still be trans and enby, can still be polyamorous, can still be aromantic or asexual, and of course can still be on the Multiattraction Spectrum. If lesbian energy reverberates through you, you are lesbian.
In a world that still silences and excludes, we demand safety, freedom, and justice for all lesbians everywhere.

International Pronouns Day is all about basic human respect. If you are not sure or forgot, it's not a big deal. You can always ask it.

Today is Intersex Awareness Day, a day to highlight experiences, pride, and identity of intersex people.
Intersex people are born with sex characteristics that don’t fit typical definitions of male or female, which shouldn't be subject to invasive, unnecessary and unconsenting surgical treatment.
FUR/HELP stood and continues to stand with Intersex people. We are committed to not only build welcoming spaces for Intersex people, but also to amplify their voices, build conversations that boost visibility and advance of Intersex people's rights, as well as each part of LGBTQIA+.
Each body is beautiful and is undeniably yours.

As we see more and more nations trample on LGBTQIA+ rights worldwide, Kazakhstan decided to join the bandwagon of belittling human rights, by attacking vulnerable minorities that would have a hard time defending themselves.
A lawmakers group within the parliament of Kazakhstan has given preliminary approval to a series of amendments that would ban "LGBTQ+ propaganda” online or in the media. With repeat offense, punishment up to 10 days in prison.
The amendments are not yet in power, for that it must face a full approval within the parliament and have a signature of the President of Kazakhstan, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, notorious for his anti-LGBTQIA+ stance.
As a nonprofit that cares deeply about the situation regarding the LGBTQIA+ rights, as any other human right within the post-soviet space, we join other human rights organizations in requesting that Kazakhstan withdraws such plans.
We still stand with the Kazakh LGBTQIA+ community and will stand.

Today, we remember all the trans people that we have lost in the ongoing battle for equal rights. Transphobia not only makes the lives of trans people harder, It also leads to them losing their lives or drives them to take their own life.
If you are trans then you should know you are stronger than you think, being trans is not only a brave decision but a protest in itself towards those who doubt you can be yourself and find happiness.

Today, 28th of November, is the day I created FUR/HELP three years ago with a simple goal in mind. To unite those like me in the fight for human rights and to help asylum seekers and refugees get to safety and be accompanied.
It's awesome how we grew since then, with more volunteers joining us than in any previous year, hopefully even more join with us once we become more widespread.
We have helped more than 20 people, and it's still growing with more and more requests that we try to go through. With plans to launch a new website, new guides for asylum seekers and refugees and a new Discord community.
We are sure to grow quicker next year.
I want to thank each one of you here, those that just found us, those that are amongst our partners in this fight for human rights, those that support us, and those that work within FUR/HELP to make it possible. Thank you to you all.
Together we would prove that help has no borders. ❤️

We all had a rough 2025, especially in FUR/HELP. But as we grow, we also overcome many difficulties that were devastating just a bit ago.

Termination of Rainbow Library Partnership
The partnership with the Rainbow Library VRChat world had many ambitions: to host presentations and events raising awareness for asylum seekers and refugees. This meaningful goal inspired Yuki to join as a Charity Consultant in 2025 and fueled our genuine excitement for the collaboration.
While we had many highlights, like our guest appearance at the Virtual Market as part of the Rainbow Library stand, we also had many letdowns that hampered the FUR/HELP effectiveness within this partnership.
Given the ongoing uncertainties and operational challenges in our collaboration with the Rainbow Library team, including persistent delays and internal instability, we have made the decision to terminate our partnership today at 2PM CEST. We will use this time to reassess what we seek and to wind-down.
We hope that the volunteers within the Rainbow Library find a stable, fruitful place within a team that would cherish their labor.
However, we're still accepting partnership proposals. Reach out to us at collab@furhelp.lgbt to learn more.

Ever since the beginning of FUR/HELP and before that, when the Woman's Day & Woman's Solidarity Day has been established in 1909 under the name of the National Woman's Day in the United States, we have always believed and continue to believe in equality and equity for women and girls.
No matter what woman or girl you are: cisgender, transgender, gender-diverse, BIPOC, disabled, or wider queer and beyond. You matter, you are valid and deserve to be equal. United feminism matters utmost to all of us, inclusion of transfeminism and recognition of all women and girls.
Let's refuse to be divided, let's stay united and fight through those that seek to divide us. Trans rights are human rights. Fuck Patriarchy
