THE EVIDENCE — The breakthrough wasn't a pill — it was a coach and a Mediterranean plate.

In a year-long Italian trial, women with endometriosis who received structured coaching on a Mediterranean diet and aerobic exercise alongside their hormonal therapy reported significantly less pain and almost twice the rate of overall health improvement versus medication alone.

THE EVIDENCE — Ultra-processed food is not one big villain — three additives carried the depression signal.

Among 171,818 UK adults followed for over a decade, diets heavy in foods containing flavourings, colouring agents or artificial sweeteners were linked to 45-49% higher rates of new depression — pointing at specific additives rather than ultra-processed food as one undifferentiated blob.

THE EVIDENCE — Stop collecting meal plans — learn five dishes.

A Brazilian systematic review of 15 studies found that building cooking skills goes hand in hand with eating better — more vegetables and fruit, more confidence in the kitchen — even though evidence quality is low and weight or nutritional status did not clearly change.
