◾️Isti’aatha after yawning isn’t from the Sunnah◾️
Answered by Shaykh Abu Hamza Hassan bin Muhammed Ba Shu'ayb - may Allah preserve him - on the 16th, Jumaada Al-Aakhirah, 1438H
📝🔹Question:
A man says: When i yawn i place my hand on my mouth and say ‘’I seek refuge with Allah from the accursed shaytaan” but someone around me at the time reprimanded me for that.
📩🔸Answer:
His reprimand is correct, as Isti’aatha from the shaytaan hasn’t been established at this place, but with regards to suppressing the yawn and placing the hand over the mouth, then that’s an established Sunnah, as what’s come in the Hadith:
(إذا تثاءب أحدكم، فليكظم، أو ليضع يده على فيه)
“Whenever one of you yawn, let him suppress (it) as much as possible, or place his hand on his mouth’’

The Doors To The Hellfire
Ibnul-Qayyim, may Allaah have mercy upon him, said:
"The people enter the Hellfire by three doors:
1) The door of doubts which led to uncertainty in the religion of Allaah,
2) the door of lusts which led to preferring desires over obedience to Allaah,
3) and the door of anger which led to aggression against His creation.
The sources of every sin are 3 matters:
- Arrogance which caused shaytaan to behave the way he did,
- Greed which caused Aadam to be expelled from the garden,
- And envy which emboldened one of the sons of Aadam against his brother.
He who protects himself from these three matters will be protected from evil;
- Disbelief comes from arrogance,
- Disobedience comes from greed,
- And transgression and injustice come from envy.
Allaah in His wisdom made every inward and outward part of the son of Aadam as a machine which, if he used properly, will complete him. The eye is a device for seeing, the ears a device for hearing, the nose a device for smelling, the tongue a device for speaking, the private parts a device for marriage, the hands a device for power, the legs a device for walking, the heart a device for faith and knowledge, the soul a device for love, the mind a device for reflection and contemplation of worldly and religious consequences and to prefer what is worthy of preference and to neglect what is worthy of neglect.
The people who lose the most are those who are preoccupied with themselves instead of Allaah. Those who are preoccupied with other people are in even greater loss than them.
In the Sunan is the tradition of Abuu Sa’eed Al-Khudree which he attributed to the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him:
إِذَا أَصْبَحَ ابْنُ آدَمَ فَإِنَّ الْأَعْضَاءَ كُلَّهَا تُكَفِّرُ اللِّسَانَ فَتَقُولُ اتَّقِ اللَّهَ فِينَا فَإِنَّمَا نَحْنُ بِكَ فَإِنْ اسْتَقَمْتَ اسْتَقَمْنَا وَإِنْ اعْوَجَجْتَ اعْوَجَجْنَا
'When the son of Aadam awakens in the morning, all of his body parts defer to the tongue and they say: Fear Allaah concerning us, for we are only a part of you. If you are straight then we are straight, and if you are crooked then we are crooked.'
[Sunan At-Tirmithee, No. 2407, Grade: Sahih]
Indeed, they only submit to the tongue as it is the post of the heart, its representative, and the junction between itself and the limbs. The statement that ‘we are only part of you’ means our salvation or destruction only lies with the tongue."

﷽
The Ruling on Intrauterine Device (IUD) For Women
Intrauterine Device (IUD), or (اللَوْلَب ) in Arabic, is a type of modern birth control method. The IUD is a ‘T’-shaped device that is inserted into the woman’s uterus and prevents pregnancy by stopping sperm from fertilizing a woman’s eggs. It is a form of long-acting reversible contraception, meaning it is effective in preventing pregnancy for a long period without the woman having to do anything. An IUD can last from 3-10 years depending on the type.
In terms of its ruling, then the Scholars of Islam have ruled it is impermissible except for a need. The following are some of the verdicts of the Scholars:
Fatwa Shaikh al-Albani (may Allah have mercy upon him)
Questioner : What is the ruling on these IUDs?
Shaikh : Of course, placing it requires a woman to uncover her Awrah?
Questioner : Yes
Shaikh : This is haram and what is haram is not permissible unless due to a necessity. A necessity is determined by the extent needed. So if there is a necessity and the extent needed is determined, then it is permissible [to engage in that amount]. Otherwise no.”
[Silsilatul-Huda wan-Nur (no. 55)]
The Shaikh said in another Fatwa: “IUD is a type of ‘Azl ( but it is different than ‘Azl. I first one to say that it is a type of ‘Azl and ‘Azl has many Legislated rulings which apply to it. However, it is different than ‘Azl from an aspect in that a woman needs to uncover her ‘Awrah to the one who wants to put the IUD in for her, especially if the one placing it is a man. Then this is haram and not permissible.”
[Silsilatul-Huda wan-Nur (no. 437)]
Verdict of Shaikh Bin Baz (may Allah have mercy upon him)
Question : the questioner Fahd Abdullah from Yemen asks: what is the ruling on using IUD to prevent pregnancy in relation to women. Is using it haram opposing the ruling of Allah in having children? And what is the advise in allowing his wife to use the likes of the IUD?
Answer : “Using the IUD and the birth control pills to prevent pregnancy is not allowed. It is recommended to look to increase the lineage and it is recommended for the two spouses to be eager in increasing children and the Ummah as the Prophet (ﷺ) said:
تزوجوا الولود الودود فإني مكاثر بكم الأمم يوم القيامة
Marry women who are loving and very prolific, for I shall outnumber the nations by you [Saheeh Sunan Abi Dawood no. 2050]
However, if the reason for using them is a sickness which makes it difficult to be pregnant and nurse for her and her husband, or the need of the child for her breast milk and pregnancy will prevent this milk when she needs it to nurse her child, then there is no harm in using birth control pills or the IUD for this Legislated benefit or to deflect harm which will come upon her. As for using it without a harm or due to benefit then it is not permissible.”

The Fatwa of Shaikh Muqbil bin Haadi al-Wadi’ee (may Allah have mercy upon him)
Question : Is it permissible to ingest birth control pills and use an IUD, especially if there exists a special circumstances for a woman?
Answer : “That which we advise with is ‘Azl. This is reported. As for the birth control pills, then it has harms. It involves imitating the enemies of Islam. From its harms is that it might lead to infections in the womb, which then needs treatment. Sometimes a woman is cured while other times she is not. As for the issue of IUD, then perhaps it will cut, or become corrupted."

◾Free mixing is Haraam◾
Our Shaykh, Muhammad ibn Hizaam - may Allaah preserve him - was asked the following question:
📩 Question:
What is the ruling on studying in free mixed institutes, whether at primary, nursery, secondary or university level?
📝 Answer:
It is not permissible to mix girls with boys, even at a young age, because it may be that some of them have mature earlier than others such that they begin to feel affection towards the opposite sex. Thus free mixing is impermissible at every level; at primary, nursery, aswell as university - all of it is impermissible, and we have clarified in a previous sitting the many evidences on the prohibition of men free-mixing with women.

◾Ruling on women performing Adhan & Iqaamah◾
Our Shaykh, Muhammad ibn Hizaam - may Allaah preserve him - was asked the following question:
📩 Question:
Should a woman perform Iqaamah for Salaah, or should she pray without making the Iqaamah?
📝 Answer:
It is recommended for her to make Iqaamah (before offering the obligatory prayers), but it’s not something obligatory upon her, because the Prophet ﷺ didn't instruct women to make Iqaamah before offering Salaah in their homes. Nonetheless, it is a form of remembrance (Dhikr) of Allah, as comes from ibn ‘Umar and Anas; that they said it’s a form of Dhikr (remembrance) of Allah. So there’s no harm if they do the Iqaamah.
And the same applies with doing the Athaan; if she is distant from the Masjid such that she cannot hear the Athaan, then there’s no harm in her doing the Athaan for herself at home, but if she is close to the Masjid where she is able to hear the Athaan, then this Athaan is sufficient for her and she should only make Iqaamah for herself.

▪️There's no such thing as bachelorism in Jannah▪️
Our Shaykh, Muhammad ibn Hizaam -may Allaah preserve him- was asked the following question:
📩 Question:
The questioner says: with regards to single women who die without being married, will they have a husband in the Hereafter?
📝 Answer:
Of course, without a shadow of a doubt; "there's no bachelorism in Jannah", as the Prophet ﷺ said in the Hadeeth of Abu Hurayrah -may Allah be pleased with him- reported by Muslim.
So there is no doubt that she will be married in the Hereafter to whomsoever Allaah wishes for her to be married to from the inhabitants of Jannah. In the same way, single men who die prior to marriage; and they are many in number, will also have partners in the Hereafter. In fact, even married men will have extra wives, as there will be no limit in the Hereafter to how many wives a man can have; Allaah will honour whomsoever He pleases with however many wives He pleases.

Thu 6 Dhul Qidah 1436AH CORRESPONDING TO Aug 20 2015
Shaikh Ibn ul-‘Uthaymeen rahimahullah was asked:
Question:
How true is what is said: that the one who dies in Ramadan or on the day of Jummah will not be punished with the punishment of the grave?
Answer:
The punishment in the grave is established for everyone who deserves it whether they died on Jummah or Ramadan or in another time. So like this, the Muslims say in their prayer, in every prayer of their prayers, in the last Tashahud: I seek refugee in Allah from the punishment of the Hell-fire, from the punishment of the grave, from the trails of life and death and from the trial of the Anti-Christ. Except for one who dies struggling in Allah’s path, then the two Angels who ask about a person’s religion, Lord, and Prophet do not come to him. This is because the flashing of the sword over his head is a greater test for him and an evidence that he is a believer. Otherwise, he would not expose his neck to the enemies of Allah”

Causes Of A Hard Heart
Al-'Allaamah Muhammad Ibn Saalih Al-'Uthaymeen, may Allaah have mercy upon him:
"Causes of a hard heart include: turning away from Allaah, the Glorified and Exalted, not reading Quraan; being preoccupied with this world and focusing mostly on it, not paying attention to matters of religion, because obeying Allaah, the Exalted, makes the heart soft and brings one back to Allaah, the Blessed and Exalted.
The remedy for that is to turn to Allaah, repent to Him, remember Him a great deal, read the Quraan a great deal, and do acts of worship, as much as one can."

Well-Being And Wretchedness Are A Test And Trial From Allaah
Al-'Allaamah Ibnul-Qayyim, may Allaah have mercy upon him:
"From the signs of well-being and success is that whenever the slave is increased in his knowledge, he increases in humility and mercy; and whenever he is increased in action, he increases in his fear and caution; and whenever his age is increased, he decreases in eagerness; and whenever he is increased in wealth, he increases in his generosity and spending; and whenever his status and honour is increased, he increases in coming close to the people, in fulfilling their needs and being humble in (their presence).
And the signs of wretchedness are: Whenever he is increased in knowledge, he increases in pride and haughtiness; and whenever he is increased in actions, he increases in his boasting and mockery of the people and having a good opinion of himself; and whenever his age is increased, he increases in eagerness, and whenever he is increased in his status and honour, he increases in pride and haughtiness.
These affairs of (well-being and wretchedness) are a trial and a test from Allaah, by which He puts His slaves to trial. He brings about well-being by way of them to people, and wretchedness by way of them to people."
