This will take you through the foundational books which the scholars recommend from beginner to a strong level,
Bi’idhnillah.
We are beginning on the Friday 2nd June.
All lessons are FREE however we expect those who attend to be regular and bring a pen & paper!
REMINDER - Do your utmost to be on time as each subject will be delivered in 30minutes segments & interruptions will cause much disturbance.
We will aim to provide the PDF version of the books in this telegram. However, we advise those who are aiming high to purchase the physical copies according to their ability.
We have an email address linked to Slough Dawah, so any queries or issues feel free to email.

It's that time of year again, so more vigilance required with Isha timings.
It's a big blessing that more masjids are going out to check for Isha timings. Good on you (brothers at masjid Muqbil)! You've set a good precedent for others to follow.
There will be slight differences due to the following variables:
- location
- height
- eyesight
- At what exact point did the red twilight fully disappear? The answer to this may vary from person to person.
If your local masjid is reliable and they know what they're looking for, I would advise you to rely on their timings as opposed to masjid Muqbil as that would be more accurate in your case.

Neglecting Du'aa Weakens Tawheed
Ash-Shaykh Saalih 'Aal Ash-Shaykh, may Allaah preserve him:
يَضْعُفُ التوحيد إذا ترك العبد دعاء ربه - جل وعلا -، وكلّما قلّ الدعاء، قَلَّ تعلُّقْ العبد بالله - جل وعلا.
"Tawheed weakens if the servant neglects supplicating to his Lord, Jalla wa 'Alaa. The lesser the supplication (to Allaah), the lesser the connection of the servant with Allaah, Jalla wa 'Alaa."

The Consequences Of Having Bad Thoughts About Allaah
Ash-Shaykh Saalih Al-Fawzaan, may Allaah preserve him:
"Having a good opinion of Allaah, 'Azza wa Jal, is one of the obligations of Tawheed. Having a bad opinion about Allaah, Subhaanahu wa Ta’aalaa, contravenes Tawheed, either the very foundation, or its perfection. The foundation is negated if bad opinion increases and persists. The perfection is negated if the bad opinion is something transient or modest which is not articulated, but if articulated, it negates Tawheed."

We advise those who are able to do the same to also get involved. Many Muslims and non-Muslims are in need of this blessed dawah. Alhamdulillaah, there are a lot of free, beneficial articles and pamphlets available online.
May Allaah accept the efforts of him, the brothers and sisters at Toronto Dawah, and all those involved in pushing this blessed dawah.

It Is From The Sunnah To Recite These Chapters In The Sunnah Prayers Of Fajr And Maghrib
عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ، قَالَ رَمَقْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم عِشْرِينَ مَرَّةً يَقْرَأُ فِي الرَّكْعَتَيْنِ بَعْدَ الْمَغْرِبِ وَفِي الرَّكْعَتَيْنِ قَبْلَ الْفَجْرِ {قُلْ يَا أَيُّهَا الْكَافِرُونَ} وَ {قُلْ هُوَ اللَّهُ أَحَدٌ}.
Ibn 'Umar (may Allaah be pleased with him) said: "I watched the Messenger of Allaah (ﷺ) twenty times reciting in the two rak‘ahs after Maghrib, and in the two rak‘ahs before Fajr, 'Qul yaa ayyuhal-kaafiruun' [Suurah Al-Kaafiruun] and 'Qul huwallaahu Ahad' [Suurah Al-Ikhlaas]."
[Sunan An-Nasaaee, No. 992. See 'As-Silsilah As-Saheehah' by Ash-Shaykh Al-Albaanee, No. 3328]
Ash-Shaykh Al-Mubaarakfuuree mentioned:
“That is, in the first rak‘ah of each of them he would recite 'Qul yaa ayyuhal-kaafiruun' [Suurah Al-Kaafiruun] and in the second 'Qul huwallaahu Ahad' [Suurah Al-Ikhlaas]."
[Tuhfatul-Ahwadhee, 2/418]
In the sunnah of the Fajr prayer, sometimes the Prophet (ﷺ) would recite Verse 2:136 in the first rak'ah, and Verse 3:64 in the second rak'ah. Occasionally, instead of Verse 3:64, he would recite Verse 3:52 in the second rak'ah.

Students must be prepared - this means a pen & notebook or an electronic device to record notes.
Regarding asking questions in the class remember to show the manners of someone seeking this sacred knowledge by writing your question or asking at the end of class.
Aim to be consistent, the fruits of the knowledge come as you complete the books and gain a deeper understanding.
Be prepared to be patient! Patient with learning, understanding, memorising, the environment, facility, the distractions whilst on this path. This is part and parcel of the journey.
If we want to benefit from the knowledge our manners are 🔑.
May Allah reward the brothers and sisters who are treading this path and increase us all in beneficial knowledge.
