Be Patient Until...

Al-'Allaamah Ibn 'Uthaymeen, may Allaah have mercy upon him:

ما هي إلا ساعة ثم تنقضي هذه المكاره، اصبر عليها، اصبر على كبح نفسك عن شهواتها، اصبر على الواجبات التي أمرك الله بها، اصبر على البلايا التي تصيبك من نفسك، أو من الله ﷻ، أو من الناس، اصبر حتى تنال دار الرّاحة.

"It is only a moment and then these difficulties come to an end; be patient upon them. The Ways To Achieve Happiness

Tawheed And Guidance

بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم

Al-Imaam Ibn Qayyim Al-Jawziyyah, may Allaah have mercy upon him:

"The greatest way to achieve happiness is tawheed. The happiness of a person's heart depends upon its perfection, strength, and increase. Allaah, the Most High said:

أَفَمَن شَرَحَ ٱللَّهُ صَدْرَهُۥ لِلْإِسْلَٰمِ فَهُوَ عَلَىٰ نُورٍ مِّن رَّبِّهِۦۚ فَوَيْلٌ لِّلْقَٰسِيَةِ قُلُوبُهُم مِّن ذِكْرِ ٱللَّهِۚ أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ فِى ضَلَٰلٍ مُّبِينٍ

Is he whose breast Allaah has opened to Islaam, so that he is in light from His Lord (as he who is a non-Muslim)? So woe to those whose hearts are hardened against remembrance of Allaah! They are in plain error!

[Al-Quraan 39:22]

And He, the Most High, said:

فَمَن يُرِدِ ٱللَّهُ أَن يَهْدِيَهُۥ يَشْرَحْ صَدْرَهُۥ لِلْإِسْلَٰمِۖ وَمَن يُرِدْ أَن يُضِلَّهُۥ يَجْعَلْ صَدْرَهُۥ ضَيِّقًا حَرَجًا كَأَنَّمَا يَصَّعَّدُ فِى ٱلسَّمَآءِۚ كَذَٰلِكَ يَجْعَلُ ٱللَّهُ ٱلرِّجْسَ عَلَى ٱلَّذِينَ لَا يُؤْمِنُونَ

And whomsoever Allaah wills to guide, He opens his breast to Islaam; and whomsoever He wills to send astray, He makes his breast closed and constricted, as if he is climbing up to the sky. Thus Allaah puts the wrath on those who believe not.

[Al-Quraan 6:125]

Al-'Allaamah Muhammad Amaan Al-Jaamee, may Allaah have mercy upon him, explained:

"Tawheed can weaken and strengthen in the servant's soul, and it can increase and decrease. This is because the basis of tawheed is belief in Allaah and singling Him out with all worship, and to single Him out with His Names and Attributes, along with singing Him out with His Lordship. And the people are of different levels in their actualization of this tawheed.

Therefore, the happiness of a person depends upon the perfection of this tawheed, its strength and increase. This is something that every person acknowledges about his own self: an increase in eemaan, and decrease in eemaan, the strength of eemaan, and the weakness of eemaan, the strength of tawheed, and the weakness of tawheed.

These are states that can befall all of the people, because strength and weakness have causative factors. The causes for the weakening of tawheed and its decrease; and the weakening of eemaan and its decrease are acts of disobedience and turning away from Allaah (Subhaanahu wa Ta’aalaa).

The causes for the strengthening of tawheed and the strengthening of eemaan, and the increase of tawheed and the increase of eemaan are acts of obedience and compliance, if they are performed in accordance to what the Messenger of Allaah (ﷺ) came with."

Clarity Regarding Masjid Opening Times For Sisters 

Owing to some confusion on when our masjid is open for sisters for the sake of prayers and lessons, it was important to clarify so that sisters who desire to attend the masjid are aware of these times.

The masjid will be open for sisters to attend prayers 30 minutes before each prayer and no later than 15 minutes before the prayer. As an example, if sisters wish to attend the Dhuhr prayer, they must arrive between 1 and 1:15pm. This is due to there being only one wudhū and toilet facility shared by all worshippers, which must also be open before each prayer for any brothers wishing to use it.

Please refer to the masjid's prayer timetable, which is uploaded on our website at the beginning of every Islamic month. 

The sisters' side will also be set up for anyone wishing to attend weekly classes and will remain set up until 15 minutes before the prayer to allow the sisters enough time to use the wudhū and toilet facilities.

During lessons, in the case where the wudhū area is required, an announcement/clarification will be made informing them of this.

We request patience and cooperation from all those attending. These regulations have been put in place due to the size of the masjid and as we've mentioned, the fact that there is a single shared entrance and exit for brothers and sisters. Accordingly, the masjid will not be open for sisters outside of these times. We ask Allāh to ease the acquisition of a more spacious place of worship.
