'Eidul-Fitr will be on 02/05/2022 inshaallaah
Forwarded from Masjid Al-Imām Muqbil
Announcement:

We will be praying 'Eid in the park on Monday 2nd May corresponding to 1st of Shawāl at 8am.

The address is:
Roxeth Recreation Ground
Harrow
HA2 8LQ

Please bring your own prayer mats.

BārakAllāhu fīkum.
Some of the sunan (acts from the Sunnah) for the day of 'Eidul-Fitr (the rest you can read in the pdf inshaallaah):

1. It is recommended to bathe on this day. Due to the Mursal narration (in which a Tabiee narrates directly from the Prophet, salallaahu 'alayhi wa sallam) from Ibn Al Mussayib who said:

“The Sunnah of (Eid) Al Fitr are three: walking to the Musalla (place of prayer) , eating before going out to the Musalla, and bathing".

Al Firyaabi narrated it with a Hasan (good) chain, alongside the narration of Ibn Umar, in Al Muwatta with a good chain that he used to bathe on the day of Al Fitr before he would go out to the Musalla.

2. Beginning the Takbeer after the setting of the sun on the last day of Ramadan due to Allah's statement:

وَلِتُكْمِلُوا۟ ٱلْعِدَّةَ وَلِتُكَبِّرُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ عَلَىٰ مَا هَدَىٰكُمْ وَلَعَلَّكُمْ تَشْكُرُونَ

(He wants that you) must complete the same number (of days), and that you must magnify Allah [i.e. to say Takbir (Allahu-Akbar; Allah is the Most Great) on seeing the crescent of the months of Ramadan and Shawwal] for having guided you so that you may be grateful to Him.

[2:185]

And he stops with the opening Takbeer of the Imam for the Eid prayer.

3. On Eid Al Fitr it is befitting that he eats dates before going out to the Musalla due to the narration of Anas:

“The Messenger of Allah (صلى الله عليه وسلم) would not go out on the day of Al fitr until he ate some dates"

[Al-Bukhari]

4. Going out to the Musallah and it shouldn't be prayed in the Masjid except due to an excuse.

In the Two Saheehs (Al-Bukhari and Muslim) from the narration of Abu Saeed Al Khudree:

The Prophet (صلى الله عليه وسلم) used to proceed to the Musalla on the days of Eid Al Fitr and Eid Al Adhaa".

If Allaah told you that if you were to fast 1 month out of the 12, He would give you the reward of fasting for 1 entire year, would you fast that 1 month to gain such an amazing reward?

REVIVE A FORGOTTEN SUNNAH:

If you're coming back from 'Umrah in these coming days, as many of you are, try your best to revive this forgotten Sunnah

Sheikh Uthaymeen rahimahullah said:

“If a person returns to his country (from travelling), he should go straight to the masjid and offer two rak'ahs before going to his house, because this was the Sunnah of the Prophet ﷺ as he illustrated in both speech and action. However, I don't think anyone today - except a few people - implements this Sunnah, and this is due to people's ignorance, otherwise it's something easy Alhmadu lillah. And it's the same whether you pray in your local masjid where you regularly attend or the first masjid (you encounter upon arrival) in the country; in both cases the Sunnah is actualized.”

[Explanation of Riyadh As-Saliheen 139 - 140]

NOTE:
This applies to all travels and not confined to 'Umrah. I only mentioned 'Umrah because many of the Muslims will be returning back from 'Umrah at this stage
The Key To Getting Out Of Every Difficulty

"متى كنت متقيًا الله فثق أن الله سيجعل لك مخرجا من كل ضيق".

[شرح رياض الصالحين ٥١٧/١]

Al-'Allaamah Ibn 'Uthaymeen, may Allaah have mercy upon him:

"When you are conscience of Allaah (that you have taqwaa), then be certain that Allaah will grant you a way out of every difficulty."

The Angels Are Keen To Hear This From You

Ibn As-Salaah, may Allaah have mercy upon him:

"Reciting the Quraan is an honor by which Allaah honored mankind with, while the angels were not given that, so therefore they are keen to listen to it from mankind."

We find some Muslims invoking mercy upon a Christian journalist who died upon Kufr. Some of them go as far as calling her a Shaheed (martyr), and some as far as affirming Jannah for her.

Let's ignore the fact that she defended the Palestinian people and the fact that she condemned the Jewish aggression. In fact, let's ignore every good and noble deed that she ever did, simply because dying in the state of Kufr renders all of that useless.

What do you think this is?

There is no flattery when it comes to Tawheed!

Allah says regarding the deeds of the Kuffar:

{ وَقَدِمۡنَاۤ إِلَىٰ مَا عَمِلُوا۟ مِنۡ عَمَلࣲ فَجَعَلۡنَـٰهُ هَبَاۤءࣰ مَّنثُورًا }

“And We shall turn to the deeds they have done and scatter them like dust.”
[Surah Al-Furqân: 23]

What's more, Allah praises 18 Prophets under one context in Suratul An'am, then after praising them, concludes:

{وَلَوۡ أَشۡرَكُوا۟ لَحَبِطَ عَنۡهُم مَّا كَانُوا۟ یَعۡمَلُونَ}

“If they had associated partners with Him, all their deeds would have come to nothing.” [Surah Al-Anâm: 88]

There is no flattery when it comes to Tawheed - not even in the case of Prophets and Messengers!

Let's state the facts:

Fact 1:
Anyone who dies upon Kufr will abide in Hell forever as Allah said:

{ إِنَّ ٱلَّذِینَ كَفَرُوا۟ وَمَاتُوا۟ وَهُمۡ كُفَّارٌ أُو۟لَـٰۤىِٕكَ عَلَیۡهِمۡ لَعۡنَةُ ٱللَّهِ وَٱلۡمَلَـٰۤىِٕكَةِ وَٱلنَّاسِ أَجۡمَعِینَ (161) خَـٰلِدِینَ فِیهَا لَا یُخَفَّفُ عَنۡهُمُ ٱلۡعَذَابُ وَلَا هُمۡ یُنظَرُونَ (162) }

“Surely those who disbelieve and die as disbelievers are condemned by Allah, the angels, and all of humanity. * They will be in Hell forever. Their punishment will not be lightened, nor will they be delayed ˹from it˺.”
[Surah Al-Baqarah: 161-162]

Fact 2:
It is Haraam to seek mercy and forgiveness for the Kuffar as Allah said:

{ مَا كَانَ لِلنَّبِیِّ وَٱلَّذِینَ ءَامَنُوۤا۟ أَن یَسۡتَغۡفِرُوا۟ لِلۡمُشۡرِكِینَ وَلَوۡ كَانُوۤا۟ أُو۟لِی قُرۡبَىٰ مِنْ بَعۡدِ مَا تَبَیَّنَ لَهُمۡ أَنَّهُمۡ أَصۡحَـٰبُ ٱلۡجَحِیمِ }

“It is not ˹proper˺ for the Prophet and the believers to seek forgiveness for the polytheists, even if they were close relatives, after it has become clear to the believers that they are bound for the Hellfire.”
[Surah At-Tawbah: 113]

Abu Hurairah radhiyallahu 'anhu reported: The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) visited the grave of his mother and he wept, and moved others around him to tears, and said: I sought permission from my Lord to beg forgiveness for her but it was not granted to me, and I sought permission to visit her grave and it was granted to me so visit the graves, for that makes you mindful of death.
[Muslim]

Fact 3:
It is not permissible to say of any individual Muslim -let alone a non-Muslim- who dies fighting in Allah's cause that he died a Shaheed (martyr) - unless there is specific evidence testifying to that.
For example, the Prophet (ﷺ) once climbed the mountain of Uhud with Abu Bakr, 'Umar and 'Uthman. The mountain shook with them, so the Prophet (ﷺ) said (to the mountain), "Be firm, O Uhud! For on you there are no more than a Prophet, a Siddiq and two martyrs (referring to 'Umar and 'Uthman). [Bukhari]

So on the basis of this hadeeth, we can testify that 'Umar and 'Uthman (may Allah be pleased with them both) both died as martyrs.

Fact 4:
We have to make an effort to learn the correct Islamic 'Aqeedah and teach it to others. Otherwise we'll be overtaken by emotions and fall into the same mistakes that these Muslims have fallen into
