Firstly we hope everyone is well and continuing upon goodness after Ramadhaan. May Allaah accept it from us all. Secondly, we apologise for the delay in restarting. Inshaallaah we will begin again from the coming week but we will be doing one word with its plural form daily from now instead of two a day. Please encourage your friends and family to also get involved, and spread this message. Baarakallaahu feekum.
May Allaah make us do this sincerely for Him Alone, and make it a means of benefit and rectification for the ummah.

Tafseer Ibn Katheer [Al-Quraan 24:51]
The only saying of the faithful believers, when they are called to Allaah and His Messenger, to judge between them, is that they say: "We hear and we obey." [Al-Quraan 24:51]
Meaning, to hear to obey. Allaah describes them as having attained success, which is achieving what one wants and being saved from what one fears.
So Allaah says:
وَأُوْلَيِكَ هُمُ الْمُفْلِحُونَ
"And such are the successful."
Concerning the Verse:
أَن يَقُولُوا سَمِعْنَا وَأَطَعْنَا
"they say:"We hear and we obey.", Qataadah said:
"We were told that when Ubadah bin As-Samit, who had been present at Al-Aqabah and at Badr, and was one of the leaders of the Ansar, was dying, he said to his nephew Junadah bin Abi Umayyah: 'Shall I not tell you what you must do and what is your due!'
He said,
Do not go against those who are in authority, unless they openly command you to commit acts of disobedience to Allaah. Whenever you are commanded to do something that goes against the Book of Allaah, then follow the Book of Allaah."'
Qataadah said: We were told that Abu Ad-Darda' said,
"There is no Islaam except through obedience to Allaah, and no goodness except in Jama
This was recorded by Ibn Abi Haatim.
There are very many Ahaadeeth and reports which state that it is obligatory to:
obey the Book of Allaah, the Sunnah of His Messenger, the Rightly-Guided Khalifahs, and the imaams when they command us to obey Allaah.
There are too many of these reports to quote them all here.

Fatwaa: What is the ruling on buying gold, silver, or a combination of them online?
Question:
السلام عليكم ورحمة الله وبركاته
It is known that Gold is from those items in which the transaction has to be made hand in hand and there cannot be a delay in receiving the money for the seller or the gold for the buyer, which would mean it is impermissible to purchase gold online. My question is, is the prohibition limited to pure gold (24 karat) or does this include gold mixed with other metals/diamonds/pearls, etc. and does silver also come under this? So if there is a necklace which is gold and has rhinestone in it, would this be included in the prohibition? جزاكم الله خيرًا
Answer:
وعليكم السلام ورحمة الله وبركاته
As per Islamic law, if someone is buying/selling any of the following six items, then the exchange must be done hand to hand in the same sitting:
gold
silver
wheat
barley
dates
salt for money
The act of exchanging from hand to hand is called (التقابض). The proof for this is the hadith
of Ubaadah bin as-Saamit (Allah be pleased with him) that the Allah’s Messenger (ﷺ) said: “Gold is to be paid for by gold, silver by silver, wheat by wheat, barley by barley, dates by dates, and salt by salt, like for like and equal for equal, payment being made hand to hand. If these classes differ, then sell as you wish if payment is made hand to hand” [Muslim (no. 1587)]
Based on this hadith, the scholars say that buying either gold or silver online for money requires that the exchange occur hand to hand (immediately) and without delay on either side. This applies to buying gold online and likewise silver online because they are both from the categories of the items of Ribaa found in the hadith.
In terms of buying gold mixed with other metals or jewels, then this has been discussed by the scholars. If the piece of jewelry has a small amount of gold or silver, then it is pardoned and overlooked. Thus, such an item can be bought online.
Shaikh Sa’d al-Kathlaan (may Allah preserve him), a Saudi Shaikh who specializes in fiqh and finances, was asked about buying jewelry that has gold and other than gold in it online.
The Shaikh responded: “If there is gold in it and it is bought using currency, then it must be sold hand to hand.
The host: ‘So the ruling does not differ?’
Shaikh: ‘Yes. Unless the amount of gold is small. If the amount of gold is small, then this is pardoned. A small amount of gold that is found in a watch for example. A watch that has a small amount of gold or silver, then its affair is easier (i.e. it is allowed)'”. End. [Reference]
This exception mentioned by the Shaikh has also been mentioned by earlier scholars such as Imam Ibn Qudamah (d. 620 H.), may Allah have mercy upon him, in his book al-Mughni (4/30).
However, if the piece of jewelry being purchased online has a lot of gold or silver and other metals, then it takes the original ruling of needing to be exchanged hand to hand. And so, it cannot be bought online but should be bought in person.

📝❓ Questions that were presented to Sheikh Abu 'Abdir-Rahmaan Muhammad Al-Hajooree حفظه الله
1⃣ My wife spends my wealth on things that are not necessity. Eating “take-aways” more than cooking and overall doesn’t grasp the concept of money simply because she doesn’t earn it. If I was to stop giving her money would this be sinful of me and how do I manage this affair according to Quran and Sunnah?
2⃣ What’s the correct ruling in getting rid of a picture with a face? Is it sufficient to cover it with tape or does a person have to get rid of it completely?
3️⃣ Why do you prohibit protests when the people who are protesting only want good?
4️⃣ Is it legislated to do Qunoot Nawaazil (qunoot which is done when a calamity befalls the Muslims) because of that which is happening in Palestine?
5️⃣ My mother is not happy with me marrying a Salafi sister and wants me to marry a woman from the common folk. Am I allowed to marry a Salafi sister behind their back ie without their knowledge and consent?
6️⃣ Are the Palestinians that are bombed in their homes or on the street or killed by the jews considered as martyrs?
7️⃣ Corona has made a lot of the people constantly depressed and anxious, so what is your advice to combat this?
8️⃣ I have a condition that gives me lots of pain, effects my mood and leaves my body severely fatigued most days. This has resulted in me having less energy and unmotivated to strive. What is your advice for me?
9️⃣ I struggle with doubts about Islaam. I do believe in Allaah but at times I find myself having doubts about so many things. I try to learn more but I find myself reverting to having doubts. How do I combat this?
We ask Allah to grant us the ability to sit and benefit from the people of knowledge.

▪️During Summer, 'Ishā comes in very late and Fajr starts very early - so are we allowed to combine 'Ishā with Maghrib and go to sleep early in order to get enough sleep to function properly?▪️
Our Shaykh, Muhammad ibn Hizām -may Allāh preserve him- was asked the following question:
📩 Question:
In Summer, the time for 'Ishā is so late that the difference between it and Fajr is only four hours. Many people do not get enough sleep (at night) because soon after the prayer they head straight to work, and sometimes, if one stays up to pray 'Ishā on time he ends up missing Fajr. For this reason, some mosques combine between Maghrib and 'Ishā, offering both prayers at the time of Maghrib.
📝 Answer:
This action of theirs is incorrect. They are not travellers, nor do they have an excuse that allows them to combine between prayers.
They must remain patient and strive to pray the prayers in their appointed times. They should rest whenever they can during the day; if one only gets four hours sleep during the night, then they could compensate for any missed sleep by taking a nap after Fajr, or even better, after Sunrise, or between Dhuhr and Asr, or any other time. The point being, they must rest at other times during the day and not pray 'Ishā before its appointed time.
Similarly, if the gap between Maghrib and 'Ishā is long, then they can nap during that time if they wish, unless this leads to missing 'Ishā, for indeed the Prophet ﷺ used to dislike sleeping before 'Ishā. So if sleeping during this time leads one to miss 'Ishā, then he shouldn't sleep during this time.

📩 Question:
Allāh The Exalted says:
{And O my people! Ask forgiveness of your Lord and then repent to Him, He will send you (from the sky) abundant rain, and add strength to your strength..}
Is it correct to interpret the Āyah by saying that an increase in asking forgiveness from Allāh will add strength to our strength, and what is the meaning of strength, is it immunity, the opposite of illness?
📝 Answer:
Yes the Āyah is general. Istighfār [asking for forgiveness] will increase one's strength in every affair from the affairs of the Dunyā and religion, and it includes the strength of one's health and body, and Allāh knows best.

◾️Speaking to women online privately for marriage◾️
Answered by Shaykh Abul-Yamān Adnān Ibn Hussain Al-Masqarī - May Allāh preserve him
📩 Question:
What is ruling on the speaking that happens between men and women online for the purpose of marriage and this is without the presence of the woman's wali [guardian], then, if they agree upon the marriage they then speak to the woman's wali?
📝 Answer:
It's not permissible, and this is a door to fitnah [trials] and an avenue from the avenues to fornication and violating the sancitities [of Allāh], and also, its a reason for wasting time and listening to the voice of a woman; so in conclusion it contains many great evils. And Allāh is the One who grants success.
