So we advise ourselves and our muslim brothers to prepare for this month, welcome it with a good welcome and not to allow anyone or anything to preoccupy them from the goodness that this blessed month entails.
Especially as they have (recently) encountered great difficulties that Allah (سُبْحَانَهُ وَ تَعَالى) decreed upon them.
Their masājid have now been (re-)opened and goodness has returned to them so it is upon them to devote their attention to making the most of this opportunity, to utilise the days and the nights in the obedience of Allah (سُبْحَانَهُ وَ تَعَالى)

The Fruits Of Knowledge
In the time of the Prophet ﷺ, which two major events took place in Ramadhaan?
The Battle of Badr took place on the 17th of Ramadan, two years after the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) migrated to Madinah.
Muslims were outnumbered by a ratio of 1:3. The Muslim army numbered around 313, and the Quraysh had over 950 well-equipped on their side.
5,000 angels helped the Muslims achieve victory over the Quraysh who were better equipped.
The Conquest of Makkah, according to many scholars, took place in 8th Year of Hijri, during the month of Ramadan.
Wallaahu A'lam (and Allaah knows best).

Many great companions such as Abu Bakr, Umar, Ali, Hamza, Mus
However, ‘Uthman was unable to take part as he was instructed by the Prophet ﷺ to take care of his sick wife Ruqayyah who was also the daughter of the Prophet ﷺ.
Ibn ‘Umar narrates: “‘Uthman did not join the Battle of Badr because he was married to one of the daughters of Allah’s messenger ﷺ and she was ill. So, the Prophet ﷺ said to him. “You will get a reward and a share (from the war booty) similar to the reward and the share of one who has taken part in Badr.” [Sahih al-Bukhari]
ab ibn Umair, Az-Zubair bin Al-‘Awwam, Ammar ibn Yasir, and Abu Dharr al-Ghifari (may Allah be pleased with them all) took part in the battle of Badr. However, ‘Uthman was unable to take part as he was instructed by the Prophet ﷺ to take care of his sick wife Ruqayyah who was also the daughter of the Prophet ﷺ.

Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) said: “Fasting is ................ So the person observing fast should not behave foolishly and impudently, and if somebody fights with him or abuses him, he should tell him twice, ‘I am fasting’” [Bukhari].
The words of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) – “fasting is a shield” – mean that fasting screens a person and protects him from falling into sin which is the cause of punishment.
The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “Fasting is a shield against the Fire like the shield of any one of you in battle.” So this clearly shows the great virtue of fasting.

The Prophet ﷺ said:
أفضل الصلاة بعد الفريضة صلاة الليل
“The best prayer after the obligatory prayer is the night prayer."
[Reported by Muslim on the authority of Abū Hurairah raḍhiyallāhu ‘anhu]

📝 Words of the day (11):
تَرَاوِيحُ - تَهَجُّدٌ - قِيَامُ اللَّيْلِ
Those of us who have come across these three words would probably know that they generally refer to the same thing; voluntary night prayers, but what's the difference between these three words❓
1⃣ Qiyāmul-Layl = night prayers offered during the first, last, or any other part of the night; inside and outside Ramaḍhān.
2⃣ Tahajjud = night prayers offered during the LAST PART OF THE NIGHT upon waking from sleep; inside and outside Ramaḍhān.
BENEFIT:
The (ت) in تَهَجُّد is known as 'Tā As-salb' (The Tā of disposession). When it is prefixed to a word it renders its meaning to the complete opposite meaning.
For example : هَجَدَ means: to sleep, but when the (ت) is prefixed = تََهَجَّّدَ, it gives it the opposite meaning : to awaken from sleep.
Another example: أَثِمَ means: to sin, when the (ت) is prefixed = َتَأَثَّمَ, the meaning is changed to: abstaining from sin.
3⃣ Tarāwīḥ = night prayers offered during RAMAḌHĀN specifically; in the first, last, or any other part of the night.
▪️ It is called Tarāwīḥ because of the rest (اسْتِرَاحَة) in between the individual sets.

In another narration: "When the Prophet reached this verse, “Were they created by nothing? Or were they themselves the creators? Or did they create the heavens and the earth? Rather, they are not certain! Or do they own the treasures of your Lord? Or have they been given the authority?” (52:35-37), I felt my heart was about to fly (from realising the firm argument presented by the Qur'an)." [Sahih Al-Bukhāri 4854]
