Seclude Yourself With The Qur’ān
Al-Hasan Al-Basrī said:
May Allāh have mercy upon a man who secludes himself with the Book of Allāh and he examines himself with it. If it (his nafs) is in accordance to it (the Book of Allāh), he praises his Rabb and he asks Him to increase his nafs in virtue. However, if he finds it (his nafs) in opposition to the Book of Allāh, he counsels himself and repents.
[Al-Bayān Wat-Tabyīn, 3/134]

Ibnul-Qayyim said:
“When ‘Umar رضي الله عنه used to intend to do something, he was determined upon it. But when he was told that the Messenger of Allaah ﷺ did not do it, he would not carry on with it (without hesitation).”

ADVICE TO CONTINUE OFFERING THE NIGHT PRAYERS BEYOND RAMAḌHĀN | by Sheikh Abdulḥamīd Az-Zu'kari -ḥafidhahullāh-
All praise be to Allāh, and peace and blessings be upon the Messenger of Allāh.
I bear witness that there is no diety worthy of worship except Allāh, alone without any partners, and I bear witness that Muḥammad is His servant and Messenger -peace and blessings of Allāh be upon him; an abundance of peace.
As you're all aware, tonight is the 29th (of Ramaḍhān), and Allāh knows best if the month will be 29 or 30 days. Nonetheless, here is a piece of advice for those who've partaken in the night prayers with us; whether they are from the sisters or the brothers; because we know that some of the blessed sisters partook on the sister's side.
So the advice is to continue offering the night prayers, because the night prayers are not limited to Ramaḍhān. Only that it is has more merit during Ramaḍhān, as the Prophet ﷺ said:
“Whoever stands in prayer during the nights of Ramaḍhān, with faith and seeking Allāh's reward, will have his previous sins forgiven.”
And the Prophet ﷺ also said, “Whoever prays on Laylatul Qadr, with faith and seeking Allāh's reward, will have his previous sins forgiven.”
Otherwise, night prayer is legislated throughout the year. Everyone should pray however much they can - upto a maximum of 11 rak‘ahs. If a person is able to pray 11 rak'ahs, then that is the Sunnah of the Prophet ﷺ. And if a person wants, they can pray 9 rak'ahs, or 7 rak'ahs, or 5 rak'ahs, or 3 rak'ahs, and if they can't do that, then at least one.
For indeed, the Prophet ﷺ said to Abū Hurairah, Abū Dharr and Abū Ad-Dardā' when counselling them: “perform Witr before going to bed.”
So whoever is unable to pray during the last part of the night should pray before going to sleep. After praying ‘Ishā, he should pray whatever Allāh allows him to pray.
But if one hopes to wake up during the last part of the night, then prayer during that time is witnessed (by the angels) and that is better.
The Prophet ﷺ said:
“Whoever hopes to get up during the last part of the night should pray during the last part of the night, for the prayer offered in the last part of the night is witnessed and that is better.”
And the closer a person draws to Allāh, the closer Allāh is with him.
And the closeness of Allāh implies aid, preservation, protection and assistance.
Therefore, may Allāh bless you all, whatever is prescribed in Ramaḍhān there are deeds like it to be done outside of it.
Because many people assume that acts of worship are limited to Ramaḍhān. No!
Prayer is offered during Ramaḍhān, Charity is given during Ramaḍhān, ‘Umrah is performed during Ramaḍhān, a person engages in Dhikr as well as other voluntary acts during Ramaḍhān. And everything that I just mentioned is also performed outside Ramaḍhān.
(for example, the Prophet ﷺ said) “Whoever fasts Ramaḍhān and then follows it up by fasting 6 days from Shawwāl, it will be as though he fasted the entire year.”
And the same applies to what I mentioned previously concerning the recommendation of offering the night prayers, as well as being regular in offering the ḍhuḥā prayer and reciting the Qur'ān. All of that is beneficial to us.
We ask Allāh to accept from us and you all our righteous speech and actions and to forgive our shortcomings, for He is the Gaurdian and the One capable of that.
We seek Allāh's aid, and all praises belong to Allāh - Lord of the worlds.

“Islām is thicker than blood and water”
______________________
Due to the ongoing pandemics and the lockdown measures in place across many parts of the world, for many, this may be the most lonesome ‘Eid in years.
But did you know that many of our revert brothers and sisters - especially the unmarried - experience this loneliness and sadness every year?
I implore you to take a few moments to appreciate the blessing of being born into a Muslim family and extend that joy to as many reverts as possible. May Allāh soften our hearts towards them.
The Prophet ﷺ said:
((الرَّاحِمُونَ يَرْحَمُهُمُ الرَّحْمَنُ، ارْحَمُوا مَنْ فِي الأَرْضِ يَرْحَمْكُمْ مَنْ فِي السَّمَاءِ))
“The merciful are shown mercy by The Most Merciful (Ar-Raḥmān). Have mercy to those on earth, and you will be shown mercy from He Who is above the heavens.”
[Reported by Tirmithi; who said, it is 'ḥassan Ṣaḥīḥ']
So a special ‘Eid Mubārak to all my revert brothers & sisters out there!

RAMAḌHĀN MAY HAVE COME TO AN END, BUT THE FASTING CONTINUES...
Imām Muslim -raḥimahullāh- reported in his Ṣaḥīḥ (1164) from the ḥadīth of Abū Ayyūb Al-Ansarī -raḍhiyallāhu ‘anhu- that the Prophet ﷺ said:
((من صام رمضان ثم أتبعه بست من شوال كان كصيام الدهر))
"Whoever fasts Ramaḍhān and then follows it with six days of Shawwāl will be (rewarded) as if he had fasted the entire year."
How does fasting 1 month and 6 days equate to fasting an entire year?
The scholars explained that good deeds are multipled tenfolds - due to Allāh's saying:
{مَن جَاۤءَ بِٱلۡحَسَنَةِ فَلَهُۥ عَشۡرُ أَمۡثَالِهَا}
“Whoever comes with a good deed will be rewarded tenfold.”
[Sūrah Al-An‘ām 160]
That means:
1 month x 10 = 10 months
6 days x 10 = 60 days/ 2 months
10 + 2 months = 12 months / 1 year.

Our Shaykh, Muhammad ibn Hizaam - may Allaah preserve him - was asked the following question:
📩 Question:
The questioner says: If the period for wiping over the socks comes to an end, does one's taharah (wudhu) become invalid?
📝 Answer:
If the period of wiping comes to end, it doesn't nullify taharah (wudhu). All it means is that the concession for wiping has come to end, but he continues to remain in a state of purification until he nullifies it.

Spike in divorce rates and halting its rise
Our Shaykh, Muhammad ibn Hizaam -may Allaah preserve him- was asked the following question:
Question:
The questioner says: We are shocked at the rise in divorce rates these days; as soon as a slight difference arises between a man and his wife, they rush to divorce. What is your advice – may Allah bless you?
Answer:
Undoubtedly, divorce is something which brings much joy to Shaytan, and he strives very hard in this cause – as Muslim reported from the Hadeeth of Jabir ibn Abdillah, may Allah be pleased with him, that the Prophet ﷺ said:
‘Iblees places his throne on the water; he then sends detachments (for creating Fitnah); the closest to him in rank are those who create the most Fitnah. One of them comes and says: “I did so and so.” And he says: “You have done nothing.” Then another one comes and says: “I did not spare him until I separated between him and his wife.” Iblees says: “You have done well,” then he embraces him.’
So this brings great joy to the devils, hence why they pursue this matter so keenly.
Therefore, the best way to prevent divorce is to drive shaytan away, and the greatest means to drive him away is to:
remember Allah frequently fulfill the obligations preserve one’s Eeman (faith) and Tawheed (monetheism) offer the five daily prayers and being regular in all the other duties of Islam being constant in the remembrance of Allah, as this protects a person from shaytan, by Allah’s permission stay away from sins, for indeed sins destroy a person – especially major sins.
So it’s incumbent that a person fears Allah with regards to his actions and stays away committing major sins; wrongdoing, oppression etc.
One must take himself to account, because these affairs are a reason for Shaytan to gain an upper hand; frequent sin and transgression are a major cause for Shaytaan’s dominance, as well as a person becoming distant from his deen and his heart becoming hard.
So we must fulfill the duties set out by Allah by fulfilling the obligations set out in our religion, and we must fear Allah and keep away from sins and wrongdoing. If we do this – then by Allah’s permission – we will be saved from many of these afflictions, including the affliction of divorce.
May Allah grant everyone success.
