*A benefit regarding the sneezing of the child*

❍ • The *Shâykh Sâleh Al Fawzân* _-may Allâh preserve him said-:_

🧻As for the child if he sneezes then you don't reply to him by saying "Yarhamuk'Allâh" (may Allâh have mercy upon you), rather one should ask Allâh to bless him by saying "Bârek Allâhu feek" (may Allâh bless you), because a child sneezed besides the Prophet ﷺ, so he ﷺ replied: "Bârek Allâhu feek" (may Allâh bless you) reported by: al Hâfidh As-Salafi.

Also he ﷺ would instruct the child to say "Alhamdulillâh" when sneezing, from the angle of teaching him.

▪️Effective methods to overcome Shaytaan▪️

Our Shaykh, Muhammad ibn Hizaam -may Allaah preserve him- was asked the following question:

📩 Question:

The questioner says: What is the most effective way to overcome Shaytaan?

📝 Answer:

1. Seeking refuge (with Allaah) from his evil, as Allaah - the Mighty and Majestic- said:
(وَإِمَّا یَنزَغَنَّكَ مِنَ ٱلشَّیۡطَـٰنِ نَزۡغࣱ فَٱسۡتَعِذۡ بِٱللَّهِۚ إِنَّهُۥ سَمِیعٌ عَلِیمٌ)
"If you are tempted by Shaytan, then seek refuge with Allaah. Surely He is All-Hearing, All-Knowing." [Surat Al-A'raf 200]

Shaytaan is a fierce enemy, and you have no might nor power to withstand him except with the aid of Allaah. No one can repel him from you except Allaah - the Mighty and Majestic. So seek refuge with Allaah from him frequently.
'And say, “My Lord! I seek refuge in You from the temptations of the devils."
[Surat Al-Mu'minun 97]

'Abdullah ibn 'Amr ibnil 'Aas, narrated that whenever the prophet (ﷺ) entered the mosque, he would say:
((أَعُوذُ بِاللَّهِ الْعَظِيمِ وَبِوَجْهِهِ الْكَرِيمِ وَسُلْطَانِهِ الْقَدِيمِ مِنَ الشَّيْطَانِ الرَّجِيمِ))
"I seek refuge in Allaah, the Magnificent, and in His noble face, and in his eternal domain, from the accursed Devil." And he said: "When a person says that, the devil says: he is safe from me for the rest of the day."

So be frequent in seeking refuge with Allaah from him.

2. Increase in the remembrance of Allaah, because the remembrance of Allaah serves as a fortified fortress against the Shaytaan. The Prophet ﷺ said:
"And I command you to remember Allaah, for indeed the parable of one who remembers Allaah is like that of man who after being tracked down by his enemy, he quickly enters a fortified fortress in which he protects himself from them. This is how the worshiper is; he does not protect himself from Shaytaan except through the remembrance of Allaah."

So continual remembrance of Allaah drives Shaytaan away.

3. Being continual with the morning and evening invocations, the remembrance before sleep, upon waking up from sleep, following the prayers, and so on.

4. Glorifying and praising Allaah in abundance, saying:
سبحان الله
Glory be to Allah (free from all imperfections)
All praises belong to Allaah
Allaah is Great

▪️Supplications said during Wudhoo▪️

Our Shaykh, Muhammad ibn Hizaam -may Allaah preserve him- was asked the following question:

📩 Question:

The questioner is asking concerning the supplications said during Wudhoo', such as when washing the face, one says:
اللهم بيض وجهي يوم تسود الوجوه
'O Allaah, brighten/whiten my face the day when the faces become blackened'
and when washing the right hand, he says:
اللهم أعطني كتابي بيميني
'O Allaah, give me my record in my right hand'
and when washing the left, he says:
اللهم لا تعطني كتابي بشمالي
'O Allaah, Do not give me my record in my left hand'.

📝 Answer:

This is an innovation (Bid'ah) which has no basis whatsoever - neither authentic nor weak.

To Love Allaah And His Messenger (sallallaahu 'alayhi wa sallam)

"There are three qualities. He who possesses them has tasted the sweetness of faith:

1. Allaah and His Messenger are more beloved to him than anything else;

2. He loves an individual and he does not love him except for the sake of Allaah;

3. He hates to return to disbelief just as he would hate to be tossed into the fire.

[Saheeh Al-Bukhaaree, No. 16, Saheeh Muslim No. 43]

Shaykh Muhammad Amaan Al-Jaamee, may Allaah have mercy upon, mentioned in his explanation of the first quality:

"This is such that one does not put anything before the pleasure of Allaah, nor does he put anything before the guidance of the Messenger of Allaah (Sallallaahu 'alayhi wa sallam), from speech, madh'hab, nor opinion. Rather, he gives utmost precedence to the pleasure of Allaah (subhaanahu wa ta'aalaa) and the implementation of the Sunnah of Allaah's Messenger (sallallaahu 'alayhi wa sallam) and following it.

This love, as we mentioned, is an action of the heart and the action of the heart is in need of something to attest to its truthfulness from the obedience of Allaah and adherence to His command and avoidance of His prohibitions. This is evidence for the love of Allaah.

Love of Allaah is the true soul of eemaan (faith), and eemaan without love of Allaah (subhaanahu wa ta'aalaa) is like a body that is dead, having no soul within it. His eemaan is surface level. However, true love is that which emanates from true eemaan in Allaah, the Glorified and Exalted.

Similarly, love of the Messenger of Allaah (Sallallaahu 'alayhi wa sallam), is not exemplified by religious celebrations or Islamic occasions - as some of the people refer to them - and that which accompanies that from gifts and foods.

There is no celebration in Islaam for displaying love of the Prophet (sallallaahu 'alayhi wa sallam). These are innovated gatherings which occur within many lands in which many people gather from both genders in their best clothing, perfumes, and decorations in the name of celebrating the birthday of the Prophet (sallallaahu 'alayhi wa sallam).

You will find amongst those who celebrate, he who does not pray and he who is the furthest of the people from the teachings of Al-Islaam and from clinging to the religion of Al-Islaam. However, they want to display love for the Messenger of Allaah (sallallaahu 'alayhi wa sallam) by way of this gathering, celebration and eating food, then dancing in a manner which they call the remembrance of Allaah. How great is the strangeness of Al-Islaam?!

Love of the Messenger of Allaah (sallallaahu 'alayhi wa sallam) is exemplified by learning his Sunnah. Knowledge comes before speech and action. One must dedicate himself to learning and not turn away from his Sunnah (sallallaahu 'alayhi wa sallam).

You must learn how to become a scholar and a faqeeh in the religion of Allaah and avoid following desires and statements of men that oppose the Sunnah of the Prophet (sallallaahu 'alayhi wa sallam). Whatever the person learns from the statements of men and he doesn't look at these statements in light of the Sunnah of the Prophet (sallallaahu 'alayhi wa sallam) and display humility for it then this does not indicate true love; if he knows it to be from that which the Messenger of Allaah (sallallaahu 'alayhi wa sallam) was upon, acted upon, and called to (then he acts upon it). This is true love.

Love of the Messenger of Allaah (sallallaahu 'alayhi wa sallam) for the sake of himself without loving the messenger ship will not benefit. Abuu Taalib used to love the Messenger of Allaah (sallallaahu 'alayhi wa sallam) and was ardent in his love for him and greatly concerned for him. He knew the correctness of his religion due to that which was between them in closeness and he outwardly professed that. Nothing prevented him from eemaan in him and following him except fear of criticism and following the forefathers. He mentioned some lines of poetry wherein he said:

'I know the religion of Muhammad is from the best of the religions that
exist.'

However, this knowledge did not benefit him. Look at the next line of poetry, he said:

'Were it not for fear of criticism or that I shall be reviled, you would have found me proclaiming and following that ardently.'

So it was fear of criticism and abuse that prevented him from eemaan. Had he believed then they would have criticised him. A man has status amongst his people and he fears that they would criticise him and say that he has altered the religion of 'Abdul-Muttalib. This would be considered something great amongst them; that the person should change the religion of their forefathers and grandfathers, due to this he did not believe.

It is a must that one knows that eemaan is something in addition to knowledge and cognisance. The person knowing that he is the Messenger of Allaah (sallallaahu 'alayhi wa sallam) is not sufficient. Rather, it is a must that one loves him because he is the Messenger of Allaah. Therefore, true love is love along with eemaan, compliance, and obedience. This is that which will benefit."
