Allaah Will Build A House In Jannah For The One Who Does This

Al-'Allaamah Al-'Uthaymeen, may Allaah have mercy upon him

Umm Habeebah, may Allaah be pleased with her, narrated that Allaah's Messenger (ﷺ) said:

"Whoever prays twelve rak'ah in a day and night, a house will be built for him in Paradise: Four before Dhuhr, and two rak'aat after it, two rak‘aat after Maghrib, two rakʿaat after 'Ishaa, and two rak‘aat before the Fajr prayer."

🥀A Message From Aunty Sheila🥀

I'm an umarried revert in my 60s with no children. I've worked as a teacher for over 35 years.

In fact; teaching was my life and in my former years my career was my world and furthering it was all I cared about.

I wanted security in the dunya so I worked tirelessly for a house (which I obtained back then with a mortgage). Looking back, I was firecly independent and didn't think I needed a man for anything!

I never got round to getting married or having children because as I said; my work and career was my life.

I regret not settling down in my twenties and I urge young brothers and sisters not to make the mistakes I did.

Alhamdulilah I'm old now and helping to care for my elderly mother but I have no one to look after me!

Sisters, prioritise getting married & having a family in your youth. I worked hard for my home but I have no one to share it with.

I know it was Allah's decreed for my life to pan out the way it did but you all have a chance to grab the opportunities I never had!

Put the deen first and do not be decieved by this world. I pray for you all.

Assalaamu alaikum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatu,

Aunty Sheila

Beware of wearing clothes that have a cross on them!

A'ishah (may Allāh be pleased with her) reported that the Prophet ﷺ would not leave in his house anything containing crosses except that he obliterated it. [Sahih Bukhari - 5952]

Year 1446AH/2024

9th Muharram - Monday 15th July
10th Muharram (Day of 'Aashuuraa) - Tuesday 16th July

بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم

Allah’s Sacred Month of Muharram

It is the first month of the Hijri calendar and is one of the four sacred months concerning which Allah says that which translates as:

“Verily, the number of months with Allah is 12 months (in a year), so it was ordained by Allah on the Day when He created the heavens and the earth; of them, four are sacred. That is the right religion, so wrong not yourselves therein.” (Qur’an, 9:36)

Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that the Prophet (ﷺ) said:

“The year is 12 months of which four are sacred, the three consecutive months of Dul Qadah, Dul Hijjah and Muharram, and Rajab, which comes between Jumada and Shaban.” (Bukhari)

Year 1446AH/2024 9th Muharram - Monday 15th July 10th Muharram (Day of 'Aashuuraa) - Tuesday 16th July بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم Allah’s Sacred Month of Muharram It is the first month of the Hijri calendar and is one of the four sacred months concerning which…
Muharram is called this because it is a sacred (muharram) month and to confirm its sanctity. Allah Almighty says that which translates as:

“...so wrong not yourselves therein …” (Tafsir of Ibn Kathir)

Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) said: “The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said:

‘The best of fasting after Ramadan is fasting Allah’s month of Muharram.” (Muslim)

Ibn Abbas said: “The Prophet (ﷺ) came to Madinah and saw Jews fasting on Ashura. He said, ‘What is this?’ They said, ‘This is a righteous day, it is the day when Allah saved the Children of Israel from their enemies, so Musa fasted on this day.’ He (ﷺ) said, ‘We have more right to Musa than you,’ so he fasted on that day and commanded (the Muslims) to fast on that day.” (Bukhari)

The practice of fasting on Ashura was known even in the days of Jahiliyyah, before the Prophet’s mission. It was reported that Ayesha (may Allah be pleased with her) said: “The people of Jahiliyyah used to fast on that day.”

Apparently the motive for commanding the Muslims to fast on this day was the desire to be different from the Jews, so that the Muslims would fast when the Jews did not, because people do not fast on a day of celebration. (Bukhari)

Fasting on Ashura was a gradual step in the process of introducing fasting as a prescribed obligation in Islam.

Fasting appeared in three forms. When the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) came to Madinah, he told the Muslims to fast on three days of every month and on the day of Ashura, then Allah made fasting obligatory when He said:

“ … observing the fasting is prescribed for you …" (Al-Qur’an, 2:183)

The obligation was transferred from the fast of Ashura to the fast of Ramadan.

It was reported from Ibn Mas’ud that when fasting Ramadan was made obligatory, the obligation to fast Ashura was lifted i.e. it was no longer obligatory to fast on this day, but it is still desirable (mustahab).
