⏩ Meaning Of The Hadeeth Of The Women Who Would Be Dressed But Appear To Be Naked – Shaykh Al-Islaam Ibn Taymiyyah
In general, Shaikhul-Islam Ibn Taymiyyah (may Allah have mercy upon him) said in explanation of the Hadith,
“his statement: ‘and the women who would be dressed but appear to be naked’ was explained to mean that they cover with what does not cover. So she is clothed but in reality naked. For example, wearing thin clothing which exposes her skin or tight clothing which makes apparent the shape of her body like her behind or her forearms and the likes of that. Verily the clothing of a woman is that which covers her and does not make apparent the size of her limbs due to the clothing being thick and spacious” [Majmoo’ al-Fataawa (22/146)] End quote.
And it does include women wearing what is refer to nowadays as the ‘Turban Style Hijab’. That style is nothing more than a turban which it is not permitted for women to wear because it imitates the clothing of men and does not cover properly.
Shaikhul Islaam Ibn Taymiyyah (may Allah have mercy upon him) was asked:
Question:
“Women wear these turbans which are on their heads, is this haram or disliked? And what are the turbans which are recommended for women? Is it allowed for them to wear Khuff (leather socks)?”
Answer:
“All praise is due to Allah alone. These turbans which are worn by women are haram without doubt. In the Saheeh it is reported that the Prophet (ﷺ) said:
Two are the types of the denizens of Hell whom I did not see: people having flogs like the tails of the ox with them and they would be beating people, and the women who would be dressed but appear to be naked, who would be inclined (to evil) and make their husbands incline towards it. Their heads would be like the humps of the bukht camel inclined to one side. They will not enter Paradise and they would not smell its odor whereas its odor would be smelt from such and such distance [Muslim no. 2128]
Also it is authentic that:
لَعَنَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم الْمُتَشَبِّهِينَ مِنَ الرِّجَالِ بِالنِّسَاءِ، وَالْمُتَشَبِّهَاتِ مِنَ النِّسَاءِ بِالرِّجَالِ
Allah’s Messenger (ﷺ) cursed those men who imitate women and those women who imitate men [al-Bukhari no. 5885]
And in one wording:
لَعَنَ رَسُولُ اَللَّهِ - صلى الله عليه وسلم -اَلْمُخَنَّثِينَ مِنْ اَلرِّجَالِ, وَالْمُتَرَجِّلَاتِ مِنْ اَلنِّسَاءِ
The Prophet (ﷺ) cursed effeminate men (those men who are in the similitude (assume the manners of women) and those women who assume the manners of men)
And in
Sunnan Abi Dawud that the Prophet (ﷺ) saw Umm Salamah (may Allah be pleased with her) while she was putting on a Khimar, so he said:
لَيَّةً لاَ لَيَّتَيْنِ
Wrap it once not twice [Daif Abi Dawud no. 4115]
[Abu Dawud (may Allah have mercy upon him) said: “The meaning of his statement ‘Wrap it once, not twice,’ is do not wrap it like the turban of a man and do not wrap it twice or three times”]
Whatever is from the clothing of men like turbans, leather socks, caps which are for men, clothing which makes apparent the limbs of her body, thin clothing which does not conceal the skin and other than that, then a woman is prohibited from it. It is upon her guardian, like her father or husband, to prohibit her from that. And Allah knows Best” End translation. [Majmoo’ al-Fatawa (22/155-156)]

"And let not those who covetously withhold of that which Allaah has bestowed on them of His Bounty (wealth) think that it is good for them (and so they do not pay the obligatory zakaat). Nay, it will be worse for them; the things which they covetously withheld shall be tied to their necks like a collar on the Day of Resurrection. And to Allaah belongs the heritage of the heavens and the earth; and Allaah is Well-Acquainted with all that you do."

Answered by Shaykh Abu Hamza Hassan bin Muhammed Ba Shuayb - may Allah preserve him- on the 12th, Shawwaal, 1440H
▪ Establishing Jumu'ah twice in the same masjid due to size?▪
📝🔹Question:
May Allah preserve you, there is a masjid in London that perform the Friday prayer twice, the imaam delivers the friday sermon and then prays with the people who then leave and another set of people then enter where he repeats this for a second time. What is the ruling of this despite knowing the masjid is small in size?
📩🔸Answer:
This action is incorrect, and that which is correct is that only one jumu'ah should be established in the masjid, and if it becomes full then the people should pray outside it or go to another masjid.
📍Benefit!:
I then asked the sheikh, is the prayer of the second set of people correct ?
The Answer:
"غير صحيحة لأنه عمل محدث"
Their prayer is incorrect due to the action being from the newly invented affairs.

Three questions which every Salafi - living in times of Fitnah - should have a clear answer for:
1. When is a person declared an innovator?
2. Is violating a single principle enough for a person to be declared an innovator, or must they violate several principles?
3. What is a fundamental principle?
1. When is a person declared an innovator?
A person is declared an innovator if he opposes a principle from the fundamental principles of the Religion, or opposes several secondary matters (furoo’) [of the religion], as Imaam Ash-Shaatibee sufficiently and excellently affirms in ‘Al-I’tisaam’, where he states (2/200 – Daarul Ma’rifah print):
‘The [misguided] sects divided into factions due to their disagreement with the saved sect relating to a fundamental aspect of the religion and a crucial affair from the guidelines of the Sharee’ah - not due to secondary issues [of the religion]; although, excessive violation of several secondary guidelines may be as detrimental as violating a single fundamental principle; for if an innovator continues innovating into the secondary principles [of the religion], much of this reverts to being an opposition to the Sharee’ah, the same way that violating a fundamental principle is considered an opposition.’ [End quote]
To summarise, a person becomes an innovator, in opposition to the saved sect, by violating a principle from the fundamental principles of the Sharee’ah, or commiting a series of violations within the secondary guidelines [of the religion], as [in reality] this equates to opposition to the sharee’ah.
Furthermore, violating a religious guideline may be through addition or deduction, as Imaam Ibn Al-Wazeer explains in ‘Eethaarul Haqqi ‘alal khalq’ (page 85):
‘Know that the original cause for most innovations returns back to two matters:
1st: Adding into the religion by introducing a matter which neither Allaah nor His Messenger have legislated - believing it to be a part of the religion
…Or…
2nd: Deducting [from it], by rejecting something that Allaah or His Messenger have legislated as being a part of the religion through false misinterpretations (ta’weel) [of the Texts].’ [End quote]
Allaah said [in what is translated to mean]: ‘Or do they have associates, who legislate for them [affairs] in the religion, which Allaah has given no permission for.’
[Surah Ash-Shoora (42): Verse 21]
2. Is violating a single principle enough for a person to be declared an innovator, or must they violate several principles for this ruling to take effect?
As you've clearly seen from Ash-Shaatibee's statement; the deciding factor determining whether or not a person is misguided and opposed to the saved sect, is violating a fundamental principle and a comprehensive guideline, or violating several secondary affairs [of the religion]; the point here being, notice how he didn’t set a condition that one must oppose several principles [before being declared an innovator], such that violating a single fundamental principle is rendered insufficient. On the contrary rather, he states that violating a principle is sufficient, even if it is just one single principle.
Similarly, in ‘Ajwibatul Mufeedah’ (page 35), the learned scholar, Shaykh Fawzaan states:
‘Surely, anyone who opposes the saved sect concerning the matter of allegiance and enmity (Walaa wal Baraa), or the matter of listening to and obeying the rulers, is no longer considered a member of the saved sect, even if he complied in all the remaining affairs of ‘Aqeedah. As a result, he places himself in great danger and falls under the threat [of the Prophet] ﷺ:
‘All of them (misguided sects) will be in the Hellfire’, even if he violated a single issue in ‘Aqeedah.’
And so from this, the false notion of those who demand presented with a list of violations before deeming a person an innovator, becomes bare for all to see; because this demand implies that violating several principles is a condition before a person is expelled from Salafiyyah...
Moreover, from the evidences proving that violating a single fundame

Moreover, from the evidences proving that violating a single fundame
ntal principle is enough [for a person to be expelled from Salafiyyah], is the understanding derived from the saying of the Prophet ﷺ:
‘Certainly a man will utter a word giving it no consideration, because of which he will plunge into Hellfire a distance further than what is between the east and the west.’
[Transmitted by Bukhaari on the authority of Abu Hurairah (6477) and Muslim (7407)]
Similarly, His - The Most High’s - saying [in what is translated to mean]:
‘And they certainly uttered a statement of disbelief, whereby they became disbelievers …’
[Surah At-Tawbah (9): Verse 74]
3. What is a fundamental principle?
The meaning of ‘principle’ here, is that which constitutes innovation and dismissal from the saved sect of anyone that violates it, just as Ash-Shaatibee defined, in ‘Al-Muwaafaqaat’ (1/338), where he said:
‘Any guideline which is sanctified by the Sharee’ah, is considered a principle from the fundamental principles of the religion, and everything else which is given less significance is considered a secondary and a complementary aspect of the religion.’ [End quote]
Similarly Ibn Abee Zayd Al-Qayrawaani states in ‘Al-Jaami’ (page 106), under the section describing the fundamental principles of the Sunnah, that:
‘They are those affairs which the Muslims regard as being aspects of Islaam and the Sunnah, whose inverse is innovation and misguidance.’
Likewise, in ‘Eethaarul Haqq’ (page 85), Imaam Ibn Al-Wazeer defines it as:
‘Every essential matter of Islaam.’
Also, As-Sam’aani outlines in ‘Al-Qawaati’ (5/13), as well as At-Toofi in ‘Mukhtasarur Rawdha’, that: a fundamental principle is:
‘Those matters which are obvious and easily recognised by every sane individual.’ At-Toofi adds: ‘even if the layman’s lack of expression holds him back from expressing this.’ [End quote]
I (Sa'eed Da'aas) say: There's no difference between what At-Toofi and As-Sam’aani have stated here, in comparison to what Ash-Shaatibee mentioned earlier, for every matter that is sanctified by the Sharee’ah is one well established with proofs and evidences, this is what in turn, validates, clarifies and makes them easily recognisable.
