WARNING!

Sheikh Albani rahimahullah classified this hadeeth as “Munkar” (a weak report transmitted by an unreliable narrator contradictory to that of a reliable narrator) [As-Silsilah Adh-Dha’eefah (No. 6428)]

Note:
We are not allowed to attribute this supplication to the Prophet ﷺ as that would be a lie, but this does not mean that we are not allowed to seek protection with Allah from this heat.

May Allah protect the Muslims from the heat of this life as well as the Next.
How Fortunate He Is...

Al-Imaam Ahmad Ibn Hanbal, may Allaah have mercy upon him:

طوبى لمن أخمل الله ذكره.

"How fortunate is the one whom Allaah has made unknown/unheard of."

The Salaf used to try and hide their deeds and run away from positions of leadership etc. as they didn't want to be known except with Allaah. But we live in a time where so many people publicise their good deeds to the world, and they want their name to be known. May Allaah protect us, purify our hearts, and make us sincere like the Salaf.

Something Us In The West Especially Need To Rectify

It is reported that Abuu Muhammad Ibn Abee Haatim Ar-Raazee, may Allaah have mercy upon him, said:

"Being full (from food) makes the body heavy, hardens the heart, removes astuteness, brings about sleep, and weakens the individual from performing acts of worship."

Were It Not For The Trials Of This World...

Al-Imaam Ibn Qayyim, may Allaah have mercy upon him:

"Were it not for the trials of this world and the difficulties, a person would've been afflicted with the diseases of conceit, self-amazement, seeking superiority (over others), and the hardening of the heart, all of which are a means for his destruction sooner or later."

Be Patient Until...

Al-'Allaamah Ibn 'Uthaymeen, may Allaah have mercy upon him:

ما هي إلا ساعة ثم تنقضي هذه المكاره، اصبر عليها، اصبر على كبح نفسك عن شهواتها، اصبر على الواجبات التي أمرك الله بها، اصبر على البلايا التي تصيبك من نفسك، أو من الله ﷻ، أو من الناس، اصبر حتى تنال دار الرّاحة.

[شرح الكافية الشافية (4/460)]

"It is only a moment and then these difficulties come to an end; be patient upon them. Be patient upon restraining your soul from its desires, be patient upon the obligations Allaah Has commanded you with. Be patient upon the calamities that afflict you which are either from yourself, from Allaah ﷻ or from the people. Be patient until you reach the abode of relaxation."
