Interesting Story Of The Da'wah Of Shaykh Badi'udeen Shah Rashidi as-Sindhi, رحمه الله

During the days of his da'wah in Pakistan, the Shaykh gave a lot of focus to his own province (Sindh) as the shirk there was overwhelmingly widespread.
The Sufi grave worshippers even had a place where they came to do 'Hajj' and perform their Tawaaf and they even had their own 'zam-zam' well.
May Allāh guide and rectify these people.

Shaykh Badi'udeen would go to different villages in Sindh and give da'wah to the people; calling them to Tawheed and the true message of Islam, which they were very far from.

He was so keen on teaching these people and gave his time to them. He visited an area called Goth-Luqman in Sindh, where he would go to different shops and sit down with the shop keeper.

The Shaykh would tell the shop keeper that he wants to talk to them about Islam and he just wants them to listen to his message. When a customer would come, the Shaykh would weigh the goods, take payment, carry the new incoming stock and stack the shelves, and help out with all the labour work (for free).

But when the shop is quiet, he would continue to teach the shop keeper about Tawheed. This was their agreement.

He continued like this and went from shop to shop, spreading the message of Tawheed, and teaching in the masaajid, until eventually 70% - 80% of the village accepted the da'wah and became people of Tawheed and Sunnah, by the Grace of Allāh, The Most High.

Safeguard The Light Allaah Has Given You

Shaykh Muhammad Ibn Saalih Al-'Uthaymeen, may Allaah have mercy upon him:

"...that which is biding upon the seeker of truth is to safeguard his illumination which helps him, as such light will increase his faith, as well as help him to be able to practice righteous actions."

Zuhd (Abstinence) Doesn't Necessitate Poverty

Shaykhul-Islaam Ibn Taymiyyah, may Allaah have mercy upon him:

"Many of the latter people [i.e. those who came after the Salaf] associated zuhd with poverty, but zuhd can be present alongside wealth and poverty. Amongst the Prophets and those who were foremost in embracing Eemaan [i.e. the Sahaabah] there were those who were wealthy and zaahid (i.e. one who abstained from extra permissible things of the worldly life]."

When Allaah Intends Good For His Slave...

Al-Imaam Ibnul-Qayyim, may Allaah have mercy upon him, (paraphrased):

"When Allaah intends good for His slave, He removes from his heart the remembrance of the good deeds that he had done, and He prevents his tongue from speaking about his good deeds, and He keeps him preoccupied with remembering his sins, and this feeling remains with him till he enters the Paradise."
