Supplication For Seeking A Cure From Ailments

حَدَّثَنِي عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى، عَنْ سُفْيَانَ، عَنِ الأَعْمَشِ، عَنْ مُسْلِمٍ، عَنْ مَسْرُوقٍ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ ـ رضى الله عنها ـ قَالَتْ كَانَ النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم يُعَوِّذُ بَعْضَهُمْ يَمْسَحُهُ بِيَمِينِهِ ‏ "‏ أَذْهِبِ الْبَاسَ رَبَّ النَّاسِ، وَاشْفِ أَنْتَ الشَّافِي، لاَ شِفَاءَ إِلاَّ شِفَاؤُكَ، شِفَاءً لاَ يُغَادِرُ سَقَمًا ‏"‌‏.‏ فَذَكَرْتُهُ لِمَنْصُورٍ فَحَدَّثَنِي عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ مَسْرُوقٍ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ بِنَحْوِهِ‏.‏

(Translated meaning)

Narrated 'Aaishah, may Allaah be pleased with her: The Prophet (ﷺ) used to treat some of his wives by passing his right hand over the place of ailment and used to say, "O Lord of the people! Remove the difficulty and bring about healing as You are the Healer. There is no healing but Your Healing, a healing that will leave no ailment."

Narrated Abdullah ibn Abbas:
The Prophet (ﷺ) used to supplicate:

1- رَبِّ أَعِنِّي وَلا  تُعِنْ عَلَيَّ
"My Lord, aid me and do not aid against me

2- وَانْصُرْنِي وَلا تَنَصُرْ عَلَيَّ
grant me victory, and do not grant victory over me

3- وَامْكُرْ لِي وَلا تَمْكُرْ عَلَيَّ
plot on my behalf and do not plot against me

4- وَاهْدِنِي وَيَسِّرِ هُدَايَ إِلَيَّ
guide me, and make my right guidance easy for me

5- وَانْصُرْنِي عَلَى مَنْ بَغَى عَلَيَّ
grant me victory over those who act wrongfully towards me

6- اللهُمَّ اجْعَلْنِي لَكَ شَاكِرًا
O Allah, make me grateful to You

7- لَكَ ذَاكِرًا
make me remember You much

8- لَكَ رَاهِبًا
make me fearful of You

9- لَكَ مِطْوَاعًا
obedient to You

10- إِلَيْكَ مُخْبِتًا أَوْ مُنِيبًا
humble before You or penitent

11- رَبِّ تَقَبَّلْ تَوْبَتِي
My Lord, accept my repentance

12- وَاغْسِلْ حَوْبَتِي
wash away my sin

13- وَأَجِبْ دَعْوَتِي
answer my supplication

14- وَثَبِّتْ حُجَّتِي
establish my evidence

15- وَاهْدِ قَلْبِي
guide my heart

16- وَسَدِّدْ لِسَانِي
make true my tongue

17- وَاسْلُلْ سَخِيمَةَ قَلْبِي
and remove the malice within my heart."

⏩ A Student Of Knowledge Should Record Benefits – Imaam Nawawi

Imam an-Nawawi (may Allah have mercy upon him) said:

“He (a student of knowledge) should not belittle a benefit he saw or heard, whatever subject it may be. Rather he should hasten to write it down and then regularly review what he has recorded” [al-Majmoo’ (1/70) as cited by Shaikh Mohammed bin Maani in Al-Fawaakih al-Janniyyah (pg. 26)]

⏩ The Authenticity Of The Widespread Supplication That One Says When Entering The House – Imaam Nawawi

It’s widespread that when one enters the house he makes the following supplication

اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ خَيْرَ الْمَوْلِجِ وَخَيْرَ الْمَخْرَجِ بِسْمِ اللَّهِ وَلَجْنَا وَبِسْمِ اللَّهِ خَرَجْنَا وَعَلَى اللَّهِ رَبِّنَا تَوَكَّلْنَا ثُمَّ لْيُسَلِّمْ عَلَى أَهْلِهِ

Narrated AbuMalik Al-Ash’ari:

The Prophet (ﷺ) said: When a man goes into his house, he should say: “O Allah! I ask Thee for good both when entering and when going out; in the name of Allah we have entered, and in the name of Allah we have gone out, and in Allah our Lord do we trust.” He should then greet his family.

But the correct stance regarding this narration is that it is weak due to a cut in the chain as Imam Al Albani clarified after previously authenticating it.

What does one say then?

Imam An Nawawi said:

If he enters his house it is recommended to say “Bismillah”. He should increase from the remembrance of Allah Ta’ala, and he should give Salaam, whether there is a human in the house or not due to the statement of Allah Ta’alaa

فإذَا دَخَلْتُمْ بُيُوتاً فَسَلِّمُوا على أنْفُسِكُمُ تَحِيَّةً مِنْ عِنْدِ اللَّهِ مُبَارَكَةً طَيِّبَةً

But when you enter the houses, greet one another with a greeting from Allah (i.e. say: As-Salamu ‘Alaikum – peace be on you) blessed and good. [24:61]

It comes from Jabir (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: I heard Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) saying, “If a person mentions the Name of Allah upon entering his house or eating, Satan says, addressing his followers: ‘You will find nowhere to spend the night and no dinner.’ But if he enters without mentioning the Name of Allah, Satan says (to his followers); ‘You have found (a place) to spend the night in, and if he does not mention the Name of Allah at the time of eating, Satan says: ‘You have found (a place) to spend the night in as well as food.”‘

[Muslim].

Also it comes

from Anas Radiallahu Anhu he said that the messenger of Allah صلى الله عليه و سلم said to me:

O my little son! When you enter upon your family then give the Salam, it will be a blessing for you and upon the inhabitants of your house.”

[Reported by Imam At Tirmithi and declared Hassan by Ash Shaykh Al Albani in As Saheeh At Targheeb Wat Tarheeb and by Ash Shaykh Saleem Al Hilaali in Saheeh Al Athkaar An Nawawiyah page 32]

🌈 *Benefit from our noble Sheikh Yahya al-Hajoorie حفظه الله*

▪If you remember Allaah you will be reminded concerning yourself;

▪If you remember Allaah, Allaah will remember you in times of your difficulty;

▪If you remember Allaah, and you call upon Him in your time of illness, you will be answered;

▪If you remember Allaah, and you call upon Him while you are in grief and saddness, He سبحانه و تعالى will make a way out for you;

Dont forget the Thikr Allaah سبحانه و تعالى‼

Be upon caution, O' you Muslim, that you do not forget the Thikr of Allaah!

So, whoever forgets Allaah and forgets the Thikr Allaah, then Allaah will leave him;

وَلَا تَكُونُوا كَالَّذِينَ نَسُوا اللَّهَ فَأَنْسَاهُمْ أَنْفُسَهُمْ ۚ أُولَٰئِكَ هُمُ الْفَاسِقُونَ

🍃 *And be not like those who forgot Allaah*
(i.e. became disobedient to Allaah)
*and He caused them to forget their ownselves*,
(made them forget to do righteous deeds).
*Those are the Fāsiqun* (rebellious, disobedient to Allaah)*.
(Al-Hashr 59:19)

✅Don't forget the thikr of Allaah!
For verily if you forget the thikr of Allaah or pretend that you forgot, then this will cause your destruction!

✅Don't forget the Thikr of Allaah!
All these atrocities, afflictions, transgressions and animosity is because of forgetting the Thikr of Allaah and pretending to forget Allaah

This is extreme, deep negligence and heedlessness!!

✅Don't forget the Thikr of Allaah!!

حَتَّىٰ نَسُوا الذِّكْرَ وَكَانُوا قوما بورا

🍃 *till they forgot the warning* (Thikr),
*and became a lost people (doomed to total loss)*.
(Al-Furqan 25:18)"

Extreme, deep negligence‼

قَالَ رَبِّ لِمَ حَشَرْتَنِي أَعْمَىٰ وَقَدْ كُنْتُ بَصِيرًا

He will say:
🍃 *O my Lord! Why have you raised me up blind, while I had sight?*
(before)."
(Ta-Ha 20:125)"

قَالَ كَذَٰلِكَ أَتَتْكَ آيَاتُنَا فَنَسِيتَهَا ۖ وَكَذَٰلِكَ الْيَوْمَ تُنْسَىٰ

(Allaah سبحانه و تعالى) will say:
🍃 *Like this, Our Ayat*
(proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.) *came unto you, but you disregarded them.*
(i.e. you left them, did not think deeply about them, and you turned away from them),
*and so this Day, you will be neglected* (in the Hell-fire, away from Allaah's Mercy)."
(Ta-Ha 20:126)"

An Encouragement To Memorize First And Last 10 Āyāt Of Sūrah al-Kahf

Prophet Muḥammad Ṣallallāhu-ʿAlaihi Wa Sallam said:

‎من حفظ عشر آيات من أول سورة الكهف عصم من فتنة الدجال

“Whoever memorises first ten Āyāt of Sūrah al-Kahf will be protected from the trial (Fitnah) of Dajjāl (False Messiah).”

‎● [مختصر صحيح الجامع الصغير برقم ٦٢٠١ ، صححه الألباني]

‎وفي رواية : من آخر الكهف

And in another narration he ﷺ said: “.. the LAST 10 Āyāt of al-Kahf.”

Imām an-Nawawī Raḥimahullāh said in its Sharḥ:

“That is because whoever would ponder upon the amazing signs in these Āyāt would never fall for the Fitnah of ad-Dajjāl.”

بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم، والحمد لله.

Beautiful, short Du'aa to memorise of Yuusuf, peace be upon him.

... فَاطِرَ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ أَنتَ وَلِيِّي فِي الدُّنْيَا وَالْآخِرَةِ تَوَفَّنِي مُسْلِمًا وَأَلْحِقْنِي بِالصَّالِحِينَ

.... The (only) Creator of the heavens and the earth! You are my Wali (Protector, Helper, Supporter, Guardian, etc.) in this world and in the Hereafter, cause me to die as a Muslim (the one submitting to Your Will), and join me with the righteous."

[Al-Qur'aan 12:101].

'Have You Forgotten That You'll Be Questioned About Your Family?'

يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا قُوا أَنفُسَكُمْ وَأَهْلِيكُمْ نَارًا وَقُودُهَا النَّاسُ وَالْحِجَارَةُ عَلَيْهَا مَلَائِكَةٌ غِلَاظٌ شِدَادٌ لَّا يَعْصُونَ اللَّهَ مَا أَمَرَهُمْ وَيَفْعَلُونَ مَا يُؤْمَرُونَ

(Interpretation of the meaning):

"O you who believe! Ward off from yourselves and your families a Fire (Hell) whose fuel is men and stones, over which are (appointed) angels stern (and) severe, who disobey not, (from executing) the Commands they receive from Allaah, but do that which they are commanded."

[Al-Qur'aan 66:6].

Hadeeth Ma'qil ibn Yasaar, may Allaah be pleased with him:

مَا مِنْ عَبْدٍ اسْتَرْعَاهُ اللَّهُ رَعِيَّةً، فَلَمْ يَحُطْهَا بِنَصِيحَةٍ، إِلاَّ لَمْ يَجِدْ رَائِحَةَ الْجَنَّةِ

(Translated meaning):

I heard the Prophet (ﷺ) saying, "Any man whom Allaah has given the authority of ruling some people and he does not look after them in an honest manner, will be deprived of the fragrance of Paradise."

[Saheeh Al-Bukhaaree, No. 7150].

Hadeeth 'Abdullaah ibn 'Umar Ibnul-Khattaab, may Allaah be pleased with them:

كُلُّكُمْ رَاعٌ وَ كُلُّكُمْ مَسْؤُوْلٌ عَنْ رَعِيَّتِهِ

(Translated meaning):

"All of you are shepherds and all of you will be asked about your flock."

[Saheeh Al-Bukhaaree and Muslim].
