Forwarded from THE OFFICIAL ENGLISH CHANNEL OF SHEIKH 'ABDULHAMĪD IBN YAHYĀ AL-ZOUKORĪ (Majid Jawed)
Ash Shaykh Abdul Hameed al Hajooree was asked:
“Some of them now have started to use different verses and narrations to prove that the Coronavirus has been mentioned in the Qur’an.
From that which they use is Surah Ad Dukhan they say Allah says
“Then wait you for the Day when the sky will bring forth a visible smoke”
And the narration that this smoke will be for the believers like a cold until the end of the narration.
They also say the next verse mentions this smoke will cover all of the people and this virus has spread to the world.
Please advise us”
Answer:
“That which has been mentioned that the Corona Virus has been mentioned in the noble Qur’an, whether that be in Surah Dukhan
“Then wait you for the Day when the sky will bring forth a visible smoke”
Or Surah Mudathir.
All of it is from false interpretation and speaking upon Allah without any knowledge, the smoke a great sign which will come at the end of time and this is not it’s time (for it to have come).
Similarly surah Al Mudathir its verses are exposing the responses of the Disbelievers, regarding the fire and similar to that.
They took these texts and used it for the Coronavirus, it is obligatory in regards to Tafseer of the noble Quran to return to that which the pious predecessors explained may Allah be pleased with them.
This virus, then it is a disease from the different diseases, which the prophet صلى الله عليه و سلم said regarding “Indecencies are not spread amongst a people except Allah will trial them sicknesses and diseases which were not known to their ancestors”.
This is the reality of it, adultery, homosexuality, interest, oppression, and other than that have become widespread amongst the people. We call upon everyone to repent to Allah, increase from making Dua and seeking forgiveness, perhaps Allah by his bounties and generosity will make easy to find a cure for this trial, this plague. We ask Allah to raise it and get rid of it.”

Our Shaykh, Al Hāfidh, Abū 'Amr 'Abdulkareem Al-Hajoori - may Allah preserve him - was asked:
📩 Question:
Is it permissible to say about a individual who has passed away that "Allah has been merciful to him"?
📝 Answer:
If there is evidence which indicates to it, then yes.
• Like the martyrs
• Or the Messenger of Allah ﷺ
But if there is no evidence which indicates to this, then this is a fabricated lie.
Where is the evidence that Allah has been merciful to him?!
This affair is from the knowledge of Allah, the knowledge of the unseen.
{قُل لَّا یَعۡلَمُ مَن فِی ٱلسَّمَـٰوَ ٰتِ وَٱلۡأَرۡضِ ٱلۡغَیۡبَ إِلَّا ٱللَّهُۚ وَمَا یَشۡعُرُونَ أَیَّانَ یُبۡعَثُونَ}
[Say, "None in the heavens and earth knows the unseen except Allah, and they do not perceive when they will be resurrected."]
[Surat An-Naml 65]
And Umm As-Sa'ib said when 'Uthman ibn Maz'un passed away:
"رَحْمَةُ اللَّهِ عَلَيْكَ أَبَا السَّائِبِ فَشَهَادَتِي عَلَيْكَ : لَقَدْ أَكْرَمَكَ اللَّهُ"
'May Allah be merciful to you, O Abu As-Sa'ib! I testify that Allah has honored you'.
And the Prophet ﷺ replied to her:
(وَمَا يُدْرِيكِ أَنَّ اللَّهَ قَدْ أَكْرَمَهُ ؟)
"How do you know that Allah has honored him?"
"No doubt, death came to him. By Allah, I too wish him good, but by Allah, I do not know what Allah will do with me though I am Allah's Messenger (ﷺ)."
So it is not permissible to say that "Allah has been merciful to this person". Rather, it is more appropriate to say, "may Allah have mercy upon him" (i.e making Duā for him).
And if he is from the pious and virtuous, it should be said:
"We hope for him Allah's mercy"
There is no doubt that the believers will receive Allah's mercy, especially the righteous. However, it may be that they had some issues (i.e sins that they did not repent from) which you are not aware of.
As Tahaawi mentioned:
"ولا ننزل أحدًا منهم جنة ولا نارا"
" We do not say that any of them will categorically go to either Paradise or the Fire"
Except if there is (manifest) proof. Likewise the person who passes away, we do not say he is from the people of the Hellfire, only if he is a disbeliever - from the disbelievers who are known for their disbelief like the Jews and the Christians - then he is from the people of the Hellfire.
If you know that a person died upon disbelief, then he is from people of the Hellfire. As for the disobedient, then Allah is most knowledgeable of his affair, and his affair is with Allah.

Signs of Deviation – To approve what you use to disapprove and to disapprove what you use to approved
Shaykh Abu Bilal Al-Hadrami (may Allah preserve him) was asking the students in class:
So what is the sign of deviation?
Hudaifah (رضي الله عنه) said, (the sign of deviation is): “To approve what you use to disapprove and to disapprove what you use to approve”.
This a very clear sign, so if you want to know the deviation of a person apply this principle on him, what he used to say earlier and what he is saying now? Immediately you will know. If you see these people of banateel (who permit wearing the pants) who say fulaan has permitted this, you know that he has deviated. You (addressing some maftoon who permit wearing pants) did not used to permit this and you used to refute the Ikhwan-ul-Muslimeen by saying to them: “Why you refute us by saying so and so permitted this? Why are you not saying Allah said such and His Messenger (صلى الله عليه وسلم) said such?” Now, you search for the excuses. This is the methodology of Ikhwan-ul-Muslimeen. And Allah will destroy them like how He destroyed the Ikhwan-ul-Muslimeen. And we are free from these kind of people who are eating away salafiyyah. Wearing pants used to be haraam and now, when they entered it, it became halal! Just say that, “We want the Saudi Riyaals” and don’t cheat these young people. That is what tempted them, so they say fulaan permitted this and you are not worried about the fatwa. The mufti (for these people) is the saudi riyaals, that is a reliable mufti. We ask Allah to save us from these kind of people and their trials.
Oh Salafiyyun .. stick to the truth even if it is against you, Oh Salafiyyuun, be content with the path that we are upon (seeking knowledge and staying away from prohibitions), Insha Allah we live on that and we die on that.
By Allah, if this (salafiyyah) is not the truth then there is no truth on the earth. This is The Religion of Allah. Is the truth with the Soofiyyah ? Or with the Rafidah ? Or with the Ikhwan-ul-Muslimeen ? or with the hizbiyyin ? It could be that some groups have some truth with them, but the foundation of the truth is with people of truth and they are the source of the truth. And they know from where to take the truth. As for the people of innovations, they might accidentally follow the truth and they follow some part of the truth because it is suitable for their desires. As for the people of truth, they stick to truth what is for them and what is against them, not because it suited their wishes and desires, but they stick to the truth out of submission to Allah. What an evil thing that they did! Making a salafi as hizbi or making a salafi as mamsookh (deformed one).
(A student has written a benefit to shaykh, he read out). ‘Whoever takes the rare issues (mistakes) of the ulama have left the religion’. So who ever searchs for various excuses mentioned by various scholars then he becomes a zindeeq (who left the religion). Al Imam Dhahabi has said, “whoever searchs for excuses of various madhaahib and mistakes of the scholars of Ijtihaad, his deen will become weak’.
Oh brother, take the truth whether it is for you or against you. Leave this playing with the deen. This shows the desire (of these people).
