Fresh 6 LOST a "Loyal" User Today!

Fresh 6 has always been my go-to custom ROM for performance, stability, and clean Android experience. I'd almost call myself a "loyal" user. I said "almost" because I also regularly flash LineageOS.

But today was the first time I left the Fresh 6 community disappointed.

I joined their Discord server and followed their Telegram channel, planning to stay updated and get my FREE custom ROM. The community wasn't too toxic. When I asked about beta testing, the dev team said registrations were already closed but I could still follow updates.

When they posted about beta testers, I saw other people getting access. I demanded to know why I wasn't selected, saying I deserved a spot since I've been "supporting" them by lurking in their Discord. No apology, they just said spots were limited. I even argued with them: It's not fair! I want to test it NOW!

After that, they had the nerve to ignore my complaints about not being a beta tester. I told them I don't donate but I DESERVE access anyway since I've been in their server for weeks. They "acknowledged" my frustration (probably just to shut me up) but still wouldn't give me special treatment. And yet, they kept posting screenshots from actual beta testers.

I waited for MY ROM. A few months passed, and I saw a dev post what was obviously a meme: "Fresh 6 delayed until May 2026!" with GTA VI references.

I lost my mind. This was completely unacceptable. I assumed they were serious and started raging in the comments. But after several people explained it was just a joke referencing Rockstar's delay, I got even angrier. Still, I kept insisting they were "lying" to the community, completely missing that it was obvious satire.

That's when I realized: these devs think they can just JOKE around while I'm waiting for MY free ROM!

Frustrated and absolutely seething, I decided to publicly attack them and call them liars for... making a meme. It's been about 30 minutes now. I imagine they're still laughing at their own joke while I'm here writing angry posts about a ROM that costs me nothing and that they're building in their spare time.

Sorry, #Fresh6. Today, you lost a user who showed up late to beta testing, contributes nothing, can't recognize obvious jokes, but somehow thinks you owe him everything.

P.S. - Maybe if you devs spent less time making memes and more time giving me special treatment despite my complete lack of contribution, this wouldn't happen. Also, how DARE you reference other delayed projects in a humorous way!

Hi everyone! For those upgrading from Fresh 4.5, clear data for Fresh System Services and check for updates again. You should receive 4.5.2.02 first before receiving Fresh 6. This fixes certain issues with not being able to install the update from the recovery.

Settings > Zest > About Zest > "About icon" > Storage > Clear data

We're currently working on fixing the download for Fresh 6 itself but for now, get a more stable Fresh 4.5. Thanks for the patience!

Hi, everyone! After testing we're re-enabling the update from 4.5.0 to, this time, 4.5.2.04 so you can install Fresh 6 directly from the updates. Please let us know if you still encounter issues. If it doesn't go to the lock screen, try forcing a reboot (hold Power + Volume down) before reporting.

Note that Fresh 6 upgrades are still not enabled as we find file servers to upload to.

Clear data for Fresh System Services first to ensure you get the right update.

Settings > Zest > About Zest > "About icon" > Storage > Clear data
