For anyone who thinks it was all easy and we just got here out of the blue, it really wasn’t.

You have to put in the hours. You have to keep showing up when you’re still bad at something, when progress feels slow, and when other people seem to be moving faster than you.

Talent definitely helps, but if you don’t have it naturally, you can make up for a lot of that with consistency and hard work. You might have to put in 10x the effort, but you can still get there.

For me, I don't think I had some special talent. I just refused to stop. I kept learning, kept failing, kept trying again, and kept showing up. I think perseverance was the one thing I had, and honestly, it took me further than I ever expected.

Good morning ☀️

Hey builders, quick update.

Tonight’s Builders Showcase is postponed because our guest had some urgent work come up.

Sorry for the inconvenience. We’ll be back next week with a cool project and some cool guests. See you then.

So me and @fetescript were talking about international payment cards like a day or two days ago (he’s the one who actually brought up the idea) and he told me Dashen Bank has this service. We agreed to check it out, so I gave it a look today with one of my friends.
Turns out they actually offer international cards, both virtual and plastic versions! I got mine today (showing it in the screenshot)..
Honestly, this is super interesting, especially for developers who don't have an international card yet and have been hustling hard to get one. Just sharing this here in case you guys didn’t know about it yet. You should definitely check it out. The service fee is 600 ETB, and after that, once you get a dollar balance, you can deposit it to your card and use it for subscriptions, e-commerce purchases, and related stuff.
Yeah that's pretty much it. Huge thanks to ma friend @fetescript for reminding me about this! 🙌

The Wait is over. Airreload is out 🎉

You can now debug your Flutter apps without ADB, a USB cable, or even enabling Developer Options on your phone.

https://www.airreload.dev/

It’s still in beta tho, Give it a try it and if you spot any bugs, please open an issue to help us improve it. https://github.com/orgs/Airreload/repositories

Sometimes the problem isn’t the project you shipped, it’s how you present it.

I’ve noticed this a lot in the community. I see a launch post in the creators channel and sometimes I’m like… okay, but what problem does this actually solve? What’s in it for me?

Then I see @Dagmawi_Babi showcasing the same project on his channel and it looks completely different. Dagi really knows which features are worth mentioning, how to connect them to the pain, and how to make you actually wanna check the project out.

So yeah, let’s learn how to showcase our projects in a way nobody can just leave on seen. Check out Dagi’s Community Showcase with the hashtag #CommunityShowcase on his channel.

As he said himself, there’s no bad content, it’s a matter of organization. So let’s show our projects in a well-organized way!

A peak life advice by Elon Musk:

“Stop being patient and start asking yourself: How can I accomplish my 10 year plan in 6 months? You will probably fail, but you'll be far ahead of the person who simply accepted it would take 10 years.”

@fetescript

Good morning ☀️

Gotta top up my virtual card with the total amount of dollars I have in my dollar account 😁

Btw, if anyone needs dollars to pay for a subscription mnamn, I can pay for you with a 2 Birr discount per dollar from the current rate (ofc, the b**** market rate).

Haven't seen this in any other keyboard app.
