๐Ÿ””Today at 14:00 MT time, the Bank of England will:

๐Ÿ”ธ Announce the interest rate โ€“ no changes are expected.
๐Ÿ”ธ Publish the โ€œminutesโ€ of the meeting โ€“ weโ€™ll see how many members of the bank voted to keep rate at the current level and how many voted to raise it.
๐Ÿ”ธ Release Inflation Report with forecasts for economic growth and inflation.

Analysts at ING had an interesting idea. They think that the dynamics of GBP/USD will depend on the votes and offer 4 scenarios:

1. If all 9 members of Monetary Policy Committee vote not to change the rate, GBP/USD will decline to 1.3350.
2. If 2 out of 9 members vote for a rate increase, GBP/USD will have some support.
3. If 3 out of 9 members vote to increase the rate, GBP/USD will stay around 1.36.
4. If all 9 MPC members vote to increase the rate, GBP/USD will rise to 1.3850.
โ€‹๐Ÿ•ถHappy Friday!

Did you know that the Thai Baht is currently the most overvalued currency in the world, according to a model of Deutsche Bank?

Among Forex majors, the NZD is the most expensive and the CAD is the cheapest.

The rule of investors is to sell the expensive currencies and buy the cheap ones (buy low and sell high! ). According to this logic, itโ€™s necessary to invest in CAD and be cautious with long positions in NZD. Notice that models like these are used for long-term, not the short-term predictions. This is surely something to think about!

โ€‹โ˜•๏ธMeet the main Forex topics & news of Tuesday!

๐Ÿ”ธ Trade tensions are easing. US President Donald Trump pledged to help Chinese telecoms firm ZTE Corp, which had been penalized for violating US sanctions with Iran. Chinaโ€™s top economic official will arrive in Washington today for a 5-day trade discussion. However, according to the US ambassador to China, the countries are โ€œstill very far apartโ€ on trade. The results of negotiations will be important for risk-sensitive currencies like the AUD: in case of success, it they will rise, in case of failure they will fall.
๐Ÿ”ธ Oil remains supported. Saudi Arabia told OPEC it pumped the least since early 2017.
๐Ÿ”ธ Turkish lira (TRY) hit a new low after President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said he plans to take greater control of the economy after presidential elections next month.
๐Ÿ”ธ EUR/USD formed a pin bar ahead of 1.20 โ€“ a bearish sign. Below the weekly pivot at 1.1911, the target is at 1.1850.
๐Ÿ”ธ GBP/USD keeps struggling with 200-day MA at 1.3545 and stays in range between 1.36 and 1.3490.

Coming soon:
๐Ÿ”ธ Euro Areaโ€™s flash GDP for Q2 is due at 12:00 MT time. German economic growth is already published: the figure disappointed โ€“ the countryโ€™s authorities are blaming trade wars for that.
๐Ÿ”ธ The UK Prime Minister Theresa May meets with her Brexit cabinet to discuss plans for a post-withdrawal customs union.
๐Ÿ”ธ US retail sales will be out at 15:30 MT time (mixed forecasts).

Have a great day and may the profit be with you!๐Ÿ’š

It is time to take a look at the oil marketโ—๏ธ

Oil shocked investors with a significant rise. OPECโ€™s output cuts and geopolitical tensions around the Iranian deal and sanctions on Venezuela boosted oil prices. Up to date, Brent managed to test levels above $80 a barrel, WTI was above $72 .

High prices made the International Energy Agency change its forecasts. A global oil demand growth in 2018 is anticipated to reduce. Supply from the US production will grow by 1.87 MMbpd this year, or 85,000 bpd more than previously thought.

Does it mean the oil prices will go down? Absolutely not!
The forecast is encouraging.
๐Ÿ”ธVice chairman of IHS Markit Dan Yergin predicts oil above $85 a barrel by July as demand for gasoline will be high.
๐Ÿ”ธMorgan Stanley increased its forecast from $65 a barrel to $90 in 2020 based on a boom in a demand for diesel and jet fuel because of new shipping regulations.

As you see it is a good time to get a benefit. Geopolitical tensions in the Middle East always support an oilโ€™s rise. Donโ€™t miss your chance to boost your profit.

Oil is in the arenaโ—๏ธ
Brent and WTI couldnโ€™t stick to new records. On May 28, Brent has slumped to ๐Ÿ”น$75 a barrel, WTI has declined to ๐Ÿ”น$66.70.

What is the reason? Saudi Arabia and Russia announced they'll revive output they halted as part of a deal between OPEC and its allies.
Saudi Energy Minister: โ€œOPEC and its allies are likely to gradually revive oil output in the second half of the yearโ€.
Russian President Mr. Putin: โ€œOil prices at $60 a barrel suit Russia and the country doesnโ€™t want them to go higher. โ€ฆanything above that level can lead to certain problems for consumers, which also isnโ€™t good for producersโ€.

Does it mean that past encouraging forecasts changed? No!๐Ÿ™…๐Ÿผโ€โ™‚๏ธ

Despite comments of OPEC and its allies, Goldman Sachs remains bullish. The bank keeps its forecast for Brent at $82.50 a barrel in the third quarter of 2018.

Any worries about a shorter demand? Goldman Sachs sees a sustained pace of demand growth even if Brent is at $80 a barrel. Moreover, there are infrastructure problems that will make it harder to bring surging North American production to the market. As a result, the global oil balance will need further increases in OPEC and Russian production in 2019.

As you see a current plunge of oil prices is not a reason to worry. The forecast is still bullish. Itโ€™s a good chance to trade on volatility๐Ÿ“Š๐Ÿ’ธ

EUR/USD is below 1.1550 as political tensions in Italy intensified. Thereโ€™s a selloff in the countryโ€™s bond market. Next target is at 1.1450 (50% Fibonacci level).

USD/CAD failed to close above 1.30 yesterday, maybe today bulls will be luckier? After all, oil keeps falling โ€“ a negative factor for the Canadian currency. The first target is at 1.31.

โ—๏ธTime to trade on NFP!

Latest news. The United States announced tariffs on steel and aluminum imports from the EU, Mexico and Canada, raising risks of a full-blown trade war. Canada and Mexico retaliated against the US decision.

USD/JPY remains supported after good American data on Thursday (Core PCE Price Index, Personal Spending, Chicago PMI).

Coming soon. The US will release Nonfarm Payrolls (NFP) at 15:30 MT time. America will also publish Average Hourly Earnings and Unemployment Rate. Forecasts are positive.

๐Ÿ”ฎWhat do analysts say?
Danske Bank: โ€œIf the US jobs report disappoints on earnings today, it could mean a continued recovery in EUR/USD into the weekendโ€.
FBS: โ€œEuro is breaking a trend. Thereโ€™s an idea to buy at 1.1715 with SL at 1.1660 and targets at 1.1815, 1.1865 and 1.1910โ€.

๐Ÿ’กTop 7 rules of risk management

1. Limit your losses
The bigger loss your account suffers, the harder it will be to recover your capital to the starting point. Use Stop Loss orders!
2. Choose your position size wisely
Risk no more than 1-2% of deposit for 1 trade. This way, even if one of your trade fails, your deposit will stay safe.
3. Use leverage wisely
100:1 leverage means that for every $1 you have in your account, you can place a trade worth $100. Remember that it increases both your potential profit and loss, so choose a leverage that your deposit can afford.
4. Risk-reward ratio
Your potential reward should be higher than your risk. The good ratio is 1:3. It means that your Take Profit should be 3 times bigger than your Stop Loss.
5. Diversify
Trade several currency pairs that do not correlate much with each other, for example, EUR/USD and NZD/CAD. The factors which move these pairs are different, so if something happens to one of them, the other wonโ€™t suffer.
6. Follow a plan
By failing to plan, you are planning to fail. Remember this wise lesson and be prepared!
7. Be a life-learning trader
Read articles and books, watch videos, take part in webinars and seminars. Your efforts will pay off!

Look at this chart to track important changes in the American currency. This will help you trade EUR/USD, USD/JPY and other Forex pairs. It looks like the DXY is at an edge now. โ€‹๐Ÿ›ขTrading #oil: what you need to know

The key factor for the oil market is what the worldโ€™s largest producers (OPEC) do. If they keep limiting oil output, the prices will go up. If they increase production, oil will depreciate.

The problem is that the OPEC members give the market different messages. Saudi Arabia and Russia signaled that they are ready to boost output. Thereโ€™s also talk that the United States asked OPEC to raise supplies by about 1 million barrels a day. However, Iraqi Oil Minister said that an increase wonโ€™t be on the table at the June 22 meeting of OPEC.

๐Ÿ“ˆThe views in OPEC differ so much that they may not reach a compromise on June 22. Russian President Vladimir Putin will meet Saudi Prince Mohammed bin Salman on Thursday, June 14 โ€“ there may be price-moving comments. In the meantime, WTI may consolidate in the $66.50/$64.30 range, while Brent may stay in the $78.50/$74.50 range.

A short summary of the G7 summit
It seemed like country-members were ready to sign a statement until Mr. Trump left the summit!

๐Ÿ”ถ Firstly, he rejected the G7 statement.
๐Ÿ”ท Secondly, he said a lot about Canada and its Prime Minister. Tariffs on Canada are anticipated.
๐Ÿ”ถ Thirdly, the European Union was involved as well. Mr. Trump reminded of the EU contribution to the NATO.
๐Ÿ”ท As a result, an escalation of trade wars is anticipated. New tariffs will lead to a depreciation of the EUR and CAD.

US Federal Reserve will announce its interest rate decision at 21:00 MT time. The central bank is expected to raise the interest rate from 1.75% to 2.0%. The rate hike is priced in the USD and wonโ€™t have a big impact on the market.

Itโ€™s more interesting how many rate hikes will the Fed forecast for this year. The chance of 4 rate hikes in 2018 is 46%. If the Fed hints at 4 hikes, the USD will rise. If, however, it sticks to 3 rate hikes, the USD will likely decline.

Given the global trade tensions, the Fed can decide to hold off with more rate hikes. Keep track of the central bankโ€™s press conference at 21:30 MT time.

Above 1.1750, EUR/USD may target 1.1850.
USD/JPY has support at 110.15 ahead of 109.65.
The USD couldn't gain momentum after Wednesday's rate hike.

The euro is unexpectedly plunging after the ECB statement.
๐Ÿ”บ Firstly, EUR/USD tested the resistance at 1.1850 as the Central Bank announced an end of the QE from October to December this year.
๐Ÿ”ป However, a weak forecast for future rate hikes pulled the pair below 1.1750. The ECB isnโ€™t going to raise the interest rate until summer 2019.

On H4, 100-hour MA (1.1715) is a support for EUR/USD. If the pair breaks this level, the further fall to 1.1670 is anticipated. Otherwise, the pair has chances to return to 1.1750.
