Also, we can see that the price has formed "lower low" during this uptrend, which is a bearish sign!

How is your Monday going, guys? β˜•

Here is the list of market news for today.

⬇️Stocks dropped at the start of the week as investors are worried over rising costs, supply-chain issues, and inflationary pressures as they can slow down the economic growth.

πŸ‘€Traders keep monitoring the debt worries of Evergrande. China’s company has already missed two bond interest payments in the past weeks.

🧬BioNTech, the Covid-19 vaccine maker, claimed that a new vaccine may be needed by mid-2022 to protect against the mutations of the virus.

πŸ’ŠMerck developed a medicine that decreases the risk of death by nearly 50% in Covid patients. If it is authorized by US authorities, the drug can become the first oral antiviral medicine for Covid-19!

πŸ’°Bad news for US stocks: voting on the bipartisan infrastructure bill was suspended. S&P 500 is trading below the 100-day moving average after closing the previous week in the red.

πŸ‡―πŸ‡΅News from Japan: Fumio Kishida becomes Japan's Prime Minister. USD/JPY is moving sideways near 111.00. Nikkei (JP225) has sharply dropped below 28,500.

πŸ—“οΈOPEC+ members will meet today to discuss oil production cuts amid increased fuel prices, especially those of natural gas.

πŸ’₯Selloff in tech stocks!

Stocks of big US tech companies plunged on Monday bringing US stock indices, S&P 500 and especially NASDAQ, down. Sellers ravaged in the so-called FAANG stocks β€” Facebook, Amazon, Apple, Netflix and Google-parent Alphabet fell, but Facebook got hit the hardest.

😱Facebook entities WhatsApp, Instagram and Facebook weren’t accessible to users Monday morning, with users receiving error messages when trying to access the sites. The company’s whistleblower Frances Haugen is set to testify before Congress on Tuesday and has detailed vast problems with the social media giant.

For Facebook stock, below $325, support lies at $315 (50-week MA). Remember that you can both buy and sell stocks with FBS in the FBS Trader app (https://bit.ly/3i8D95e) and MetaTrader 5 (https://bit.ly/3fCyUx2)!πŸ€‘

Will Facebook crush damage the business?πŸ€”

On October the 4th, Facebook rolled out an update to all its network equipment that was engaged in BGP announcements, which announces routing to their services. This led to a complete stop of communication between FACEBOOK services. WhatsApp and Instagram are also hosted on Facebook’s platform, and therefore they also became unavailable.😦

The situation is complicated by the fact that manual intervention is required for the repair, but this is difficult to implement since the presence of personnel in data centers is reduced due to Covid-19.
Facebook, Instagram, and What’s up users started to immigrate to other social platforms such as Telegram, Twitter, and TikTok, which led to the slowdown of these platforms too.

There is an opinion on the network that this situation will cause massive damage to the company and the shares fell by 5% in the trading session on Monday. FBS analysts believe that the users’ loyalty to Facebook services and platforms is stronger than short-term dissatisfaction with the failure of the company's services, so this situation will make the company stronger in the long term.πŸ‘πŸ˜Œ

Technical analysis🟒

Facebook is trading in the rising channel. ↗️The price came to the bottom line of the channel, which is also 23.6 Fibonacci level, and bounced back after. We expect consolidation around the bottom line of the channel (around $325) with a subsequent price increase to $382. In case of a breakout through the bottom line of the channel, the next support will be at the $300 level.

πŸ₯‡ Gold has a bearish engulfing on a daily timeframe, and a diamond pattern on H4. We expect it to fall further.

Information is not investment advice, always make your own research.
β˜€οΈGood Wednesday, everyone! Let’s look at the main topics the markets are buzzing about:

⚑The Reserve Bank of New Zealand (RBNZ) raised the Official Cash Rate from 0.25% to 0.5%. The monetary policy statement signaled further removal of monetary policy stimulus with close monitoring of inflation and employment levels. The NZD spiked higher right after the announcement but then was pressed down.

πŸ“‰ The global indices started the day on a back foot as Treasury yields climbed to three-month high on inflation concerns. The JP225 retested the 27 150 level, while NASDAQ (US100) moved back to 14 500. S&P500 fell towards 4300.

πŸ“ˆThe USD has strengthened against its peers, as all majors have experienced a huge selloff at the start of the European trading session. The price of gold fell as well. The next trigger for the American currency is the release of the ADP Nonfarm Employment Change today at 15:15 MT time (GMT+3). This data will provide us an insight into the US labor market ahead of the NFP this Friday.

πŸ‘€ The price of WTI has reached the highest level since 2014 after the OPEC+ meeting on Monday. The price of Brent tested the high of 2018. Today, the release of crude oil inventories at 17:30 MT time (GMT+3) may add volatility to the oil.

πŸ’ͺAs for another commodity, gas, its price is unstoppable! XTI/USD is on the way to reaching 6.5.

πŸ€₯ A huge scandal in the Federal Reserve may call into question a further placement of Jerome Powell as a Chair of the bank. According to US Senator Elizabeth Warren, the Fed leader may be involved in unusual investment activity in 2020, during the shutdown times.

🀩 Bitcoin has surged above $51 000! If it overcomes the current resistance, the rally towards $53 000 will happen.
