Checklist of a stock trader 😉
What do you usually do before opening a trade? We have created a checklist – things you should do before entering a stock trade. It will help you to leave emotions aside, stick to the trading plan, and be confident!
1. Check that you have downloaded the FBS Trader app or/and MetaTrader 5. (You cannot trade stocks in MT4).
2. See if the stock market is open. US stocks are available for trading from 16:30 to 23:00 GMT+3, German and UK stocks – from 10:00 to 18:00 GMT+3.
3. Open the charts with the stocks that you’re interested in. (If you don’t know, check our article How to choose stocks?)
4. Add your favorite technical indicator to the chart. Moving averages or Bollinger Bands will be a good choice. While MA can highlight possible support and resistance levels, BB can help to distinguish whether the stock is overbought or oversold.
5. Look for economic releases that can affect the stock market: earnings reports, companies’ news, product launches, etc.
6. Remember that you can open both buy and sell trades. If the stock price is overbought or some negative news comes out, consider selling. Alternatively, if the stock price is oversold or some optimistic news comes out, consider buying.
7. Make sure your portfolio is well-diversified: stocks are from various sectors or/and they have different sizes and types.

🌅 Good morning traders! This day will bring us banks’ governors’ speeches, but most importantly, the start of our #FBSTradingMarathon. Let’s run through the main events you should know about.
💵 FOMC member Bostik said that the economy's trajectory is solid, and it's on its road to full recovery. Dollar didn’t have a strong reaction to this, mainly because of the increasing frequency of such claims.
🛢 US crude stockpiles unexpectedly rose last week following a strong start to the week in oil prices amid a global energy crunch in natural gas. Inventories increased by about 4.1 million barrels. The news caused a sharp decrease in oil and gas prices. XBR/USD is around $77 (a 3.7% decline) and XNG/USD is down 8% at $5.78.
🖨 The duration of the global semiconductor shortage just keeps getting shorter and with it, investor confidence in semiconductor stocks like Advanced Micro Devices (AMD), which closed down 6.1% Tuesday. There are still from 6 to 12 months from this point until new chip plants will be operational, but you know the rule: “Buy the rumor, sell the facts”. A great opportunity to trade volatility!
💉The CEOs of both Pfizer and Moderna recently predicted that the pandemic could end in 2022. Shares of Pfizer were down 1.6%. The BioNTech stock had fallen 9.4%. Moderna's shares were 6.2% lower. Novavax was an especially big loser, its shares have sunk 11.6%. If the pace of vaccination doesn’t slow down and no other variants of the virus occur, some of the companies will need to come up with fresh ideas or forget about their stock growth for a long time.

Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer said on Wednesday that lawmakers had reached an agreement to avoid a government shutdown on Friday, extending government spending until Dec. 3. In addition, traders still digest the shift toward more hawkish policy from the Federal Reserve.
📉New Zealand dollar was among the biggest losers to the USD. The euro declined to a 10-month low. Japanese yen reached its lowest level against the greenback since February 2020.
🇨🇳China’s factory activity contracted in September for the first time since the pandemic began last year, a sign of the damage a widespread electricity crunch is having on an already slowing economy.
✔S&P (US500) recovered from support at 4350 (100-day Moving Average). Above 4400, the focus will be on 4430.
