🏦 Goldman Sachs says its base case is for gold prices to rise about 14% to around $4,900 per ounce by December 2026, adding that risks are skewed to the upside if diversification extends beyond central banks and institutions to private investors.

🟣This is not a new call. In early October, Goldman raised its December 2026 gold forecast to $4,900 from $4,300, citing strong Western ETF inflows alongside continued official-sector buying, which the bank estimates at more than 1,000 tonnes per year, roughly double pre-2022 levels.

🍀 In the same note, Reuters reported that Goldman expects around 100 basis points of Fed funds rate cuts by mid-2026, a policy backdrop that would typically be supportive for non-yielding assets such as gold.
