"To be racist and sexist today is to reframe the policies and programs geared to creating equal opportunity as anti-White and anti-male.
"To be racist and sexist today is to imagine that all White individuals, all males never receive any benefits or privileges for being White or male.
"To be racist and sexist today is to imagine that peoples of color and women are receiving benefits and privileges due to legal theories like disparate impact and diversity, equity, and inclusion programs." source

This brought tears to my eyes:
"Keep in mind that, yes, you might think I am free, but my freedom is interlinked to the freedom of many other students, including Rümeysa Öztürk and Mahmoud Khalil," [Mohsen Mahdawi] said.
Free them all!
Mohsen Mahdawi, a 34-year-old U.S. permanent resident who was raised in a refugee camp in the West Bank, was detained during his April 14 naturalization interview in Vermont. source

Text: Hogeweyk, the world's first "dementia village," in the Netherlands, is designed for seniors to roam safely in a facility that resembles a small town.
Women are more likely than men to develop dementia. Women over 60 are twice as likely to develop Alzheimer's, the most common type of dementia.
Leave it to our friends in the Netherlands to reimagine what aging with dignity can look like.
The “Dementia Village” is a first-of-its-kind community designed to give people with dementia the freedom to live and play beyond the walls of traditional nursing homes. It looks and feels like a small town, complete with parks, grocery stores, cafés, and everyday spaces that offer comfort, routine, and a sense of independence. The care is still there—it just looks a little different. source

"Under Trump, Americans are relearning the lesson we learned about the oligarchy during the Gilded Age of the late 1890s, when robber barons ran the government and the economy for their own benefit: Oligarchy is incompatible with the common good.
Demonstrations are planned today in more than 900 cities against both the Trump regime and the oligarchy that supports and benefits from it. The official banner under which people will march today is, appropriately, “For the Workers, Not the Billionaires.” More info at maydaystrong.org" source

legitimately my first feminist awakening as a ten year old child was realizing that girls were expected to respect “boy stuff” but boys were never expected to respect “girl stuff”
