😃 Anyway, I came here to talk about Design Weg's recent challenge. About a month ago, Workaferaw at @Designweg announced that he'd start a daily logo design challenge with 15 prompts.

The challenge started on March 10 and it was super interesting to follow. We saw some beautiful designs from so many people and got to see dozens of new logos added to people's portfolios. The challenge ended on April 7 and it left me wanting more. 😍

The thing I appreciated most about this is that it is a great opportunity, especially for beginners in the design field, to practice and show off their skills in a meaningful way without having to get a real client and the hassle that comes with it.

Just like how you can't learn to ride a bicycle by reading about bikes, I think it's awesome to see that people are getting the necessary practice to improve their craft.

Anyway, it looks like @Designweg wants to add 15 more prompts soon. If you want to practice logo design, even if you think you're good or bad at it, keep looking out for the rest of his posts.

Actually, I want to start my own set of challenges. But a bit more- relaxed. But at the same time, miscellaneous and different every time. No logos. I hope to make specific requests that challenge your design muscles individually.

We want to convey a sense of nostalgia, while at the same time being approachable.

Job Description:
You must create a billboard or poster advertisement for the company. The ad should use an eye-grabbing image and be shocking. They would prefer a futuristic design, and would like you to use the brand color, which is deep blue and yellow (see colors in image). Take into account the client's preferences and values, but you're allowed to be as creative or crazy as you can.

🍗 Over a year or so? I gained a significant amount of weight. Good weight. I used to be super skinny but now I'm more- average BMI. It was very noticeable to everyone that knew me. I'm so used to the words "Omg ኢዩ ወፈርክ! ተመችቶሃል! ያምርብሃል" etc. Although my life did become convenient enough for me to fatten up, I still had to consciously eat A LOT more thinking of gaining the weight. I got all the way up from 52 kg to 69 kg (nice) at 177 cm. Anyway, TMI, plus that's not my point... I'm leading towards a story.

🦴 An undisclosed amount of time ago, someone I respected had to talk to me about what he... saw. He obviously saw me having gained a nice amount of physical weight, but he told me to visualize a very skinny, malnourished version of me within me. He told me he saw that I was spiritually underweight. He's a designer too so he literally said "It's like I drew your body in Adobe Illustrator and then used the offset function to make you skinny."

😂😂😂 I thought about that for a while. Just now, I took some time to actually fire up my PC and draw it. It's a funny sight but sad at the same time. Although this message was for me, I don't think I'm alone in this. Many of us who call ourselves Christians are spiritually malnourished. Hopefully, this post would be a wake up call for you too as much as it was for me.

My Christian friend, you can look fine on the outside but be starving in your soul. Spiritual malnutrition is the best way to describe your situation. You feel weak, easily shaken, distracted, numb. And it’s not like you’ve been living a rebellious life... You just haven’t eaten much in a while.
