Let me explain how Islam is a shitcoin — and how it exit scams you:

A mubahala, in islam, is effectively a "curse off" where two parties who disagree and don't budge agree to let "God" curse whoever is wrong. The families of the involved are brought to the mubahala, and it has the validity of one year (i.e. it resolves within one year by either party being struck with tragedy, or it's considered invalid).

Sahih Muslim, Hadith 2404:
"Sa'd b. Abi Waqqas reported... When the verse (3:61) was revealed: 'Let us summon our children and your children...' Allah's Messenger (peace be upon him) called Ali, Fatima, Hasan and Husain and said: 'O Allah, these are my family.'"

Musnad Ahmad (Narrated by Ibn Abbas):
"The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: 'If the people of Najran had entered into the Mubahala (mutual cursing), they would have returned home to find neither their wealth nor their families.' In another version, he added: 'Not a single Christian would have remained on the face of the earth by the end of the year.'"

This mubahala towards the Christian monastery took place in 10 AH. Muhammad died in 11 AH, before a full (lunar) year.
In the end, Christ took the mubahala on behalf of the monastery and won.
"Do not take revenge, my dear friends, but leave room for God’s wrath, for it is written: 'It is mine to avenge; I will repay,' says the Lord."
