a little bit surprised about the lack of mention of julius wolf and eduard bernstein, but then again - she doesn’t operate within economics.

in my book, those two in essence are pivotal. wolf created the mechanism (installed at the BIS in 1930), and bernstein framed it around an ‘ethic’.

wolf also extensively wrote on european integration since certainly 1904

anyway, in context of this now being confirmed through Cambridge peer review, i suppose it should strike me as strange it doesn’t gain traction - especially in light of keynes clearly taking the 1940/1942 framework further. but then again, arguably this is regime threatening so no wonder it’d be censored to hell and back.
