that report is simply astonishing. ok, i think i get the clear picture now.

it recommends a european trade community of the sort proposed by julius wolf in 1904. the very same wolf, who in 1892 at the international monetary conference in brussels submitted a paper, recommending the scaling of the bank of england, internationally. that was the conference, where alfred de rothschild essentially described the BoE model as being ‘perfect’

that scaling became the bank for international settlements, and the report is strongly pro BIS, even suggesting a mechanism to balance fiscal flows - which is then an argument for bretton woods.

meanwhile, spaak is involved here, as is robert rothschild. the very same combination who in 1957 penned the treaty of rome.

peace is the message, but peace is conditional. and that’s the trick, because whose conditions?
