explicitly searching for ‘“escapekey” “substack”’ (with no time limit) yields 198 results of which 73 are to my substack. of those, around half are links to notes, not essays. it originally claims around 4,000 hits, but it actually shows 198.

that means google index less than 1/6th of my essays, and many of the controversial essays are not there at all. the few that are, are typically lower ranked than facebook posts with 2 ‘likes’, twitter posts with 7 impressions and 3rd party websites, most of which i’ve never heard of.
