in short - it’s not ‘AI taking over’, initially, it’s life being made legible as a state disgram, and then later governed via model + feedback + actuation, where AI slots in naturally because AI is a control system

so not only are they aligning the databases with the AI control system, they are also formatting all organisations, institutions, protocols etc to align with this integration. that’s why life appears so drab compared to years ago.

CBAM and Digital ID both go in in 2026 in Euroland. with those, CBDCs can essentially fetch your carbon credits through your digital wallet (also EU), send the conditionalPayment to a third party (BIS Project Rosalind) which validates your carbon credits with the CBAM carbon cost of produce. this can then reject if you don’t have enough carbon credits, or demand you pay a surcharge.

CBAM, initially, is only implemented at the border; imports, and it’s only for around 70 products. but they’re already considering the next 350 products, and once there, it’s trivial to roll out to rest of economy

after that, it’s just a matter of moving from gating at imports to gating at the transaction level.

that’s definitely coming, as well.

so 2029 is probably credit. they probably aim to have all the tech in place when CBDCs reach mandatory status.
