🧑‍💻 The current DeFi infrastructure is technically capable of scaling to handle 100 million users, but the challenge lies in improving the user experience. For example, current DeFi applications are complex and akin to flying an aircraft, requiring users to have high technical knowledge.

Making the UX simpler and more intuitive, like bridging strategies or tokenizing complex financial operations, will be essential for onboarding non-technical users.

🛫 Distribution through platforms like Telegram’s integration with Ton offers a massive opportunity for DeFi. However, while distribution channels may be available, educating users on how to interact with DeFi is crucial.

The panel emphasized that user education on topics like yield generation, token staking, and the use of wallets is necessary to bring mainstream users to DeFi​.

🪙 The success stories of protocols like ZeroLend and Renzo highlight the importance of multichain strategies in DeFi growth. ZeroLend's approach to deploying on multiple Layer 2 chains, managing liquidity fragmentation, and using cross-chain solutions has enabled them to scale quickly.

These strategies will likely play a critical role in enabling DeFi applications to grow alongside the increasing number of users across different chains.

🛫 Telegram mini apps act as a gateway for users: The Telegram ecosystem plays a crucial role in introducing users to the TON and DeFi protocols. Approximately 50% of EVA's users engage through Telegram mini-applications. This trend shows that DeFi protocols are moving towards more user-friendly experiences, embedded in apps that people use every day.

💰 TON is growing beyond tap-to-earn: TON is often associated with tap-to-earn apps, but it has grown significantly in DeFi. For example, the EVAA protocol has reached a TVL of $24 million with around 7-8 thousand monthly active wallets.

📚 TON users need to be educated: DeFi protocols involve complex strategies that many users, even experienced whale users, often find difficult to understand. To address this, EVA is actively creating educational content. The team is producing short tutorial videos (similar to Instagram Reels) and articles that break down specific strategies and processes for using their platform.

Bitcoin is entering a new era.

Edan Yago's (Co-founder of BitcoinOS) keynote at BTC Scaling Day on why we’re about to see Bitcoin at the center of innovation again:

🔹 Bitcoin's early days: In the early days of Bitcoin (2011-2013), the Bitcoin community was brimming with ideas that are now common in the broader crypto space. These ideas included zero-knowledge proofs, privacy enhancements, decentralized exchanges, proof-of-stake, and even NFTs.

But projects faced significant technical difficulties due to the limitations of the Bitcoin protocol at that time.
Many moved to other chains...but now they’re coming back.

🔹 Breaking old limits: Thanks to ZK proofs, Bitcoin can now execute smart contracts and move BTC into new layers without requiring users to trust third parties or rely on multi-signature solutions.

In other words, it provides a method to securely transfer BTC and verify smart contracts directly on Bitcoin’s base layer.

🔹 The Holy Grail of Bitcoin: The ability to verify ZK proofs on Bitcoin mainnet means that for the first time, Bitcoin can combine its security with advanced functionalities like roll-ups, sidechains, and programmable token protocols.

This development has reignited excitement in the Bitcoin space, as it suggests that developers no longer need to choose between security and functionality.
