A possessive adjective, on the other hand, is used to describe ownership or possession and comes before a noun. It shows who or what owns something. Possessive adjectives in English are: my, your, his, her, its, our, and their. For example:
- This is my car.

- Its color is blue.
- Our team won the game.
- Their parents are coming over.
