I really admire people who are willing to be humbled.
What I mean by that is.... Often times we cannot see our own dysfunction until it is pointed out to us through an external lens, perspective - by another person.
And when it is pointed out, we all have a couple of options:
- Be humbled and accept that the energy we're giving off may not be received in the way we intended. So instead of blaming the other person for sharing their perspective, we take it on the chin and reflect to see how we might be able to move in a new light, with this information. To become a better person.
Or
- We can become defensive and deflect the "criticism" back towards the person because surely they are wrong and we are right and there's nothing wrong with us because we've been through XYZ and we don't deserve to be "attacked" for it...
Both options are available for the taking. One leads to destruction - of self, of relationships. One leads to healing.

If you misuse, abuse, manipulate and gaslight people for years and years on end....and they decide they no longer want to have any relationship with you, you are not a victim. Learn better. Do better. But let's be clear about who did what 📣
For anyone out there who "gets this"...
You are never required to make space for someone who is always finding ways to shit in it.
You are never required to stay in contact with someone who abused you.
You do not need to give them access.
You do not need to break yourself to fix their own parade of chaos.
You don't even need to forgive them.
Forgive yourself.
Heal yourself.
Grow yourself.
And let them_somewhere else.
