"Utility tokens" in DeFi often collapsing into pure speculation
We got a very good and fair question from one of our followers, thank you for that one!๐ฝ
Hereโs the simple answer:
๐ฅ $8LNDS isn't our main product.
In most DeFi projects, the token is the product. In our case, it isnโt.
Weโre not building everything around the token, and weโre not trying to extract value from it. The core of 8lends is investing in real businesses.
$8LNDS is an add-on to those investments โ a bonus you earn for participating, which will be gradually integrated into the ecosystem.
๐ What about utility?
Our goal is to tie $8LNDS directly to the investment process. Over time, holding the token will let you:
๐ Earn bigger investment bonuses
๐ Get access to high-yield pools
๐ Unlock DAO features
๐ Receive discounts and commission benefits
๐ Access more features we're testing right now
โ๏ธ What's next?
We spent six months building the token strategy. The first stage is already complete.
The next step is listings on tier-1 exchanges. This increases visibility, liquidity, and allows the tokenโs utility to scale alongside the platform, not ahead of it.

The Story of Borrower: Gold Car Rental ๐
Today weโre launching a new type of post where we tell you more about the companies we list on 8lends โ how we met, how the listing went, and whatโs happening with the project right now.

Fast forward a few weeks, they jumped on a call. We ran due diligence, checked everything, and on June 20, we listed Gold Car Rental on our platform.
Right now, Gold Car Rental is raising โฌ511,000 on 8lends:
๐ก Loan period: 9 months

Today weโre launching a new type of post where we tell you more about the companies we list on 8lends โ how we met, how the listing went, and whatโs happening with the project right now.
And weโre starting with Gold Car Rental!
It was a warm day at the Crypto Gathering conference. Our Co-founder went there to meet some crypto people and have a few casual chats with like-minded folks.
He met people from all over the world โ most conversations were pretty interesting, but one really stood out. He met a guy whoโs been running a car rental business in Dubai since 2022!
Which was a funny coincidence, considering the conference was all about crypto! Just shows how far the space has expanded โ even non-crypto founders are getting curious. But... thatโs a story for another post.
The CEO of Gold Car Rental told him about his business. Everything was running smoothly, but he wanted to scale โ specifically, buy 10 Mercedes-Benz Vito Business 2023 vehicles and fulfill their contract with Dutco Travel & Tourism LLC.
He tried going through a local bank but gave up quickly: tons of paperwork and, in his opinion, unfair terms.
Thatโs when our Co-founderโs spidey sense kicked in โ he told him about 8lends and how we make this whole process way easier!

A missed opportunity isnโt a mistake
Didnโt manage to start a project or change a job? Thatโs not a reason to blame yourself. Mistakes help show where exactly weโre lagging.
Try looking at it from another angle: not โI missed so much!โ but โWhy did I miss it in the first place?โ
In most cases, the reasons are the same:
๐ Delayed a decision
๐ Waited for a right moment
๐ Waited for approval from someone else
๐ Didnโt take the first step
If you donโt identify the reason behind your mistakes, theyโll repeat over and over again.
๐ Missed opportunities are a great filter for your priorities.
If you didnโt do something that was supposedly โreally important,โ it probably wasnโt that important after all.
And if something truly is important, you start doing it immediately regardless of quality.
Basically, youโve got two options:
๐ Dig yourself into โI fucked up another opportunityโ
๐ Or think: โFine, Iโll do it differently next timeโ and prepare in advance: money, knowledge, documents, connections, whatever it takes.
If you consistently work on yourself, youโll act more decisively and miss fewer opportunities over time.
The perfect moment to enter the market or move to another country is already gone. Focus on the present โ thatโs the best way to prepare for the future.
Work on yourself, and youโll stop missing opportunities๐

Step 1. Where Are You Right Now? โ๏ธ
Today, weโll analyze the foundation youโre standing on.
1. Evaluate your 4 core resources
Rate your current position on a scale from 0 to 10.
Be honest and focus on how things really are today โ donโt lie to yourself.
๐ Money โ how confident are you in your current financial situation?
๐ Energy โ do you have enough energy to handle your daily routine?
๐ Skills โ do you have skills that bring you predictable income?
๐ Environment โ do you have people around you who help you grow?
2. โ3 sources + 3 limitationsโ โ the most honest part
Write it down briefly. No explanations needed.
3 sources โ what you already have:
๐ money / income / financial cushion
๐ skills / profession / product
๐ discipline / routine / reputation / connections
3 limitations โ what slows you down:
๐ debt / reckless spending / no emergency fund
๐ burnout / poor sleep / lack of time
๐ lack of system / discipline / skills
This is your reality card.
Everything that comes next will be built around it.
3. Financial snapshot
These three numbers show your real level of resilience:
๐ Free monthly balance โ income minus mandatory expenses
๐ Liquid reserve โ how many months you can live using cash or savings
๐ Comfortable regular contribution โ a fixed amount you can invest or save consistently without stress
If you canโt calculate everything precisely, estimate, but do it honestly.
4. How free are you?
Answer one simple question:
This isnโt about fear โ itโs about freedom.
Your answer will define the strategy you should follow next: aggressive, balanced, or defensive.
5. Step 1 is complete if you have:
๐ 4 scores (money / energy / skills / environment)
๐ Your list of 3 sources + 3 limitations
๐ 3 numbers (balance / reserves / regular contribution)
One sentence: โMy Point A for 2025/26: โฆโ
6. Mistakes that ruin Point A
๐ Writing wishes instead of facts (โI want to earn moreโ)
๐ Inflating your scores to avoid discomfort
๐ Jumping straight into strategy without fixing the main limitation
We donโt change on January 1.
We change today. And we hope youโre doing this with us!๐

4. How free are you?

How many days can I live if my income stops?
This isnโt about fear โ itโs about freedom.
Your answer will define the strategy you should follow next: aggressive, balanced, or defensive.
5. Step 1 is complete if you have:
One sentence: โMy Point A for 2025/26: โฆโ
Example: โMy Point A: I have stable income, a small reserve, no consistency in saving, and energy at 6/10. In 2026, I need a stabilization strategy and strict calendar discipline.โ

Step 2. My Life Model (Practice)
Goal: Here, we want to understand how youโve been living over the past 12โ24 months. How you made daily decisions, where your energy and money went, what worked, and what didnโt.
1) Choose the option that describes your life most accurately
Be honest. Donโt choose the image you want โ choose how your life actually looks.
๐ Survival โ short-term living, urgent decisions, constant stress
๐ Race โ speed, comparison, proving yourself, many goals, high stress
๐ Search โ experimentation, frequent changes, results in waves
๐ Stabilization โ order, routine, control, predictability
๐ Growth โ a solid base, clear trajectory, scaling, regular progress
2) Fact-check with 5 questions (mark โ+โ or โโโ)
Answer based on the last months, not intentions:
๐ I didnโt stick to a plan and acted spontaneously most of the time
๐ I was usually in a hurry, even when nothing urgent was happening
๐ I often started things and dropped them halfway
๐ I earned money mostly impulsively, not as part of a system
๐ I lived at a stable pace with routines, habits, and schedule
Interpretation:
3) Financial analytics โ 3 markers
Write it down as it actually was:
๐ Spending: Chaos / Partially controlled / Rule-based
๐ Savings: Almost none / Irregular / Regular
๐ Decisions: Impulsive / Mood-driven / Pre-set rules
This reflects your lifestyle.
4) Your main trigger โ what pulls you into this model
Choose one:
๐ Lack of security (fear)
๐ Comparison and proof (status)
๐ Desire for quick results (impatience)
๐ Uncertainty (no clear goal)
๐ Lack of routine (low energy)
5) Conclusions from Step 2
Fill in the gaps:
My life over the past 12โ24 months: ___
It gave me (1โ2 positives): ___
It took away (1โ2 negatives): ___
Examples:
โก Important
Donโt do this in two minutes.
Take a break. Live your day. Come back to these questions later.
๐ Go deeper. Try to understand how you actually live, how you make decisions, and what triggers you most.

Itโs time to share another story of one of our borrowers โ Rapid Finance AD!
Weโve already broken down Rapid Finance from an investment perspective before. Today, we want to tell you how we actually met.
It began the simplest way possible โ through word of mouth.
Rapid Finance heard about us and reached out to Denis Ustjev, our Co-Founder. The first contact was a simple text conversation. We discussed their business model, goals, and funding needs.
After that, the team went to our website, filled out an application, and submitted it for review.
From there, things moved step by step.
We continued negotiations over time โ exchanging messages, holding an online call, and later meeting offline to get to know each other better. As always, this was followed by a full due diligence process.
At that point, Rapid Finance was exploring different funding options, including banks in Bulgaria, and decided not to move forward immediately. That was completely fine โ timing matters, and we respect thoughtful decisions.
A few months later, they came back.
This time, everything aligned. We ran due diligence again, and by then, we were preparing the launch of our new platform:

Step 3. Whatโs Been Driving Me All This Time? ๐
In this step, we want you to understand why youโve been acting the way you have.
This is one of the most valuable steps โ it reveals your inner driver and shows how you may be sabotaging yourself.
1) Choose your main life driver
Donโt choose the one youโd like to have โ choose the one you actually live by.
๐ Fear โ โI hope things donโt get worseโ: control, security, risk avoidance
๐ Ambition โ โI want to go higher / fasterโ: competition, proof
๐ Freedom โ โI want more airโ: independence, ability to choose
๐ Recognition โ โI want to be seenโ: status, external validation
๐ Interest โ โIโm genuinely curiousโ: learning, growth, development
๐ Duty / Responsibility โ โI have toโ: family, obligations, stability
2) Fact-check your driver
Answer honestly:
๐ What do I usually do when Iโm anxious, bored, or stressed?
๐ What do I automatically spend most of my time or money on?
If both answers point in the same direction, youโve likely chosen the right driver.
3) The price of your driver
Every driver gives something and takes something.
Fill in the gaps:
๐ My driver gives me: ___ (1 plus)
๐ But I pay for it with: ___ (1 minus)
Examples:
4) Find your repeating pattern (choose one)
This is a behavior that keeps repeating over the years.
๐ โI start strong, then quitโ
๐ โI want everything perfect, so I donโt startโ
๐ โI live by impulseโ (spending, decisions, investing bursts)
๐ โI overwork, then pull backโ
๐ โI compare myself and lose focusโ
๐ โI act only under pressureโ
๐ โI keep everything in my head, so I have no systemโ
5) Step connection (the most important part)
Connect your driver to your behavior:
โWhen my driver ___ is activated, I usually switch to the ___ scenario.โ
Examples:
6) One rule (simple, realistic, and repeatable)
This rule should work even on a bad day. Choose one:
A) Ban โ what I stop doing
๐ โI donโt make financial decisions emotionally.โ
๐ โI donโt start a new thing before closing the old one.โ
B) Limit โ clear restriction
๐ โNo more than one big decision per week.โ
๐ โNo more than X% in risky actions.โ
C) Ritual โ what I always do
๐ โOne financial audit per month.โ
๐ โBase first, everything else second.โ
D) Pause โ impulse protection
๐ โ24 hours before any financial decision.โ
๐ โIf it feels urgent, I wait and recalculate.โ
7) Step summary
Fill in the gaps:
๐ My driver: ___
๐ It gives me: ___
๐ My scenario: ___
๐ My rule: ___

Fear gives control, but costs opportunities and growth
Ambition gives speed, but costs nerves and consistency
Freedom gives air, but costs structure and follow-through
4) Find your repeating pattern (choose one)
This is a behavior that keeps repeating over the years.
5) Step connection (the most important part)

Examples:
When ambition kicks in, I switch to the rush-and-overload scenario.
When fear kicks in, I switch to the freeze-and-delay scenario.
6) One rule (simple, realistic, and repeatable)
This rule should work even on a bad day. Choose one:
A) Ban โ what I stop doing

C) Ritual โ what I always do
D) Pause โ impulse protection

Step 4. Your Repeating Pattern โฌ
๏ธ
Goal: To identify the pattern that keeps repeating in your life. This isnโt โa bad habitโ โ itโs a loop you can interrupt once you see how it works.
1) Identify your pattern
Choose one pattern that repeated at least 3 times over the past year:
๐ Sprint โถ๏ธ Burnout (I give 150% โถ๏ธ I quit)
๐ Perfect โถ๏ธ Nothing (I wait for ideal conditions โถ๏ธ I donโt start)
๐ Impulse โถ๏ธ Regret (I act fast โถ๏ธ I pay later)
๐ Comparison โถ๏ธ Loss of focus (I compare โถ๏ธ devalue myself โถ๏ธ chaos)
๐ Chaos โถ๏ธ Emergency mode (no system โถ๏ธ constant firefighting)
๐ Start โถ๏ธ Quit (I begin โถ๏ธ lose energy or interest)
๐ Procrastination โถ๏ธ Procrastination (I know I should โถ๏ธ I delay)
2) Break the pattern into 3 parts
Every pattern has the same structure:
Triggerโถ๏ธ Automatic behavior โถ๏ธ Ending
๐ Trigger: what usually happens right before it starts
(fatigue, conflict, boredom, deadline pressure, news, social media, sudden expenses)
๐ Automatic behavior: what you do without thinking
(overworking, buying, delaying, making impulsive decisions, avoiding)
๐ Ending: how it usually finishes
(fatigue, lost money, guilt, loss of focus, reset โ repeat)
3) The most honest question
Answer with one phrase:
What am I trying to get from this pattern right now?
(relief, control, safety, proof, quick results, distraction, โIโm doing somethingโ)
4) Find the weak point of the cycle
Where is it easiest to interrupt?
๐ Before it starts (early warning)
๐ During it (pause or limit)
๐ After it (recovery to prevent repetition)
5) Anti-pattern: one action that breaks the loop
Choose one counter-action that is:
๐ small (2โ10 minutes)
๐ doable even on a bad day
๐ independent of motivation
Pick a type:
A) Pause
๐ 24 hours before any financial or investment decision
๐ If it feels โurgentโ โถ๏ธ eat, sleep, or take a 20-minute walk first
B) Limit
๐ No new tasks after 6:00 PM
๐ No emotional decisions โ only in the morning
C) Micro-ritual
๐ 5 minutes daily: write 3 expenses + 1 decision
๐ 15 minutes weekly: review money or goals
D) Rollback rule (if you already slipped)
๐ No self-punishment
๐ One small recovery action today
๐ Return to baseline: sleep, plan tomorrow, reset
6) Step 4 summary
Fill in clearly and honestly:
๐ My pattern: ______
๐ Trigger: ______
๐ Automatic behavior: ______
๐ Ending: ______
๐ My counter-action: ______
Example:
Goal: To identify the pattern that keeps repeating in your life. This isnโt โa bad habitโ โ itโs a loop you can interrupt once you see how it works.
1) Identify your pattern
Choose one pattern that repeated at least 3 times over the past year:
2) Break the pattern into 3 parts
Every pattern has the same structure:
Trigger
(fatigue, conflict, boredom, deadline pressure, news, social media, sudden expenses)
(overworking, buying, delaying, making impulsive decisions, avoiding)
(fatigue, lost money, guilt, loss of focus, reset โ repeat)
3) The most honest question
Answer with one phrase:
What am I trying to get from this pattern right now?
(relief, control, safety, proof, quick results, distraction, โIโm doing somethingโ)
Every pattern gives something in the moment.
Weโre not fighting ourselves โ weโre changing the mechanics.

5) Anti-pattern: one action that breaks the loop
Choose one counter-action that is:
Pick a type:
A) Pause
B) Limit
C) Micro-ritual
D) Rollback rule (if you already slipped)
6) Step 4 summary
Fill in clearly and honestly:
Example:
My pattern: sprintโถ๏ธ burnout.
Trigger: the need to prove results fast.
Automatic behavior: taking on too much.
Ending: exhaustion and reset.
My counter-action: limit โ one key task per day + mandatory 30-minute break.

Step 5. One Strategy for the Whole Year โญ๏ธ
Goal: stop trying to do everything. Pick one direction for 2026 โ not a dream, but a strategy that matches where you actually are and how you live.
1) Decide what matters most
Answer one question:
Choose one:
๐ Security and peace of mind
๐ Income and capital growth
๐ A change of direction
2) Choose ONE strategy
Make a choice based on the results of the previous steps 1-4.
๐ Strategy 1: Stabilization
Choose this if youโre low on reserves, constantly stressed, and always putting out fires.
Focus: remove chaos and build a solid base.
๐ Strategy 2: Growth
Choose this if you already have structure: routine, spending control, and discipline.
Focus: expand whatโs already working.
๐ Strategy 3: Reassembly
Choose this if your current path no longer fits and you want to change your lifestyle or income model.
Focus: donโt blow everything up โ build a transition from old to new.
3) The One-Strategy Rule
This is how you avoid sliding back into chaos.
Fill in the gaps:
๐ My strategy for 2026: ______
๐ I say โyesโ to: ______ (1โ2 things)
๐ I say โnoโ to: ______ (1โ2 things)
Example:
4) Three Strategy Priorities
Pick three actions you can realistically sustain all year.
For stabilization:
๐ Build a reserve for X months
๐ Get mandatory expenses under control
๐ Set up a regular saving or investing habit
For growth:
๐ Increase regular contributions by X%
๐ Improve discipline and risk control
๐ Add a second income stream or level up a key skill
For reassembly:
๐ Spend 5โ7 hours a week on the new direction
๐ Build a financial buffer for the transition
๐ Create a clear 3-step transition plan
5) Tie the strategy to money: your 3-part split
To make this practical, split your capital into three parts:
๐ Reserve โ safety
๐ Base โ predictable returns
๐ Growth โ risk and acceleration
Task: write the percentages. Example: 40 / 40 / 20
If youโre unsure, start with 50 / 30 / 20 and adjust later.
6) Step Summary (4 lines)
Fill in the gaps:
My strategy for 2026: ______
My โyesโ: ______
My โnoโ: ______
My split (reserve / base / growth): ______ / ______ / ______
Example:
