👉Young people from 16 LWF member churches have met in Kigali, Rwanda, for the fourth International Peace Messengers Training. The training was put on by LWF and hosted by the Lutheran Church of Rwanda.
Participants discussed the intersection between peace and LWF Youth priorities and the thematic areas of equity, education, revival of churches, climate justice and etc.
Mr. Wondmagegn Udessa, EECMY Children & Youth Ministry Director participated in the training & presented the EECMY experience in peace building process of Ethiopia.

On the training day of the 7-12 December workshop, they explored the call to peacebuilding through worship, art and dialogue.
Representatives of the host Lutheran Church of Rwanda, including Bishop Evalister Mugabo & General Secretary Rev. Prince shared about peacebuilding and understanding peace and conflict in the country’s context.
Participants discussed the intersection between peace and LWF Youth priorities and the thematic areas of equity, education, revival of churches, climate justice and etc. Ms Savanna Sullivan, LWF Program Executive for Youth coordinates the process. Mr. Wondmagegn Udessa, EECMY Children & Youth Ministry Director participated in the training & presented the EECMY experience in peace building process of Ethiopia.
The LWF Peace Messengers program was established in 2017. It is one of the focal topics of the Global Young Reformers Network, which has been organizing different activities this year to highlight 2022 as the Year of Peace.
