Kapas Biru Waterfall lies hidden within the dense, green jungles of East Java, Indonesia. 🇮🇩 The name “Kapas Biru” means “Blue Cotton,” a fitting name that captures the waterfall’s dreamlike, soft blue tones. ✨

I'm continually struck by the endurance and determination of penguins. At Orne Harbour, chinstrap penguins build their nests high on a saddle ridge leading toward Spigot Peak.
The site, perched above the Gerlache Strait, is swept by relentless winds—yet the penguins seem unfazed. Back and forth they travel daily, journeying to the sea and returning to nourish their chicks.
It’s almost humbling: as you struggle to reach the colony and pause to catch your breath, there they are—calm, steady, one after another—gliding past you without effort.
