Talk to someone when you're having trouble, and when you're not, be with someone.

This may seem difficult because we only count on a specific person to support us through difficult times, but there are lots of people to support our journey when are truly conscious of our surroundings.

I’ve heard a lot we need to toughen our kids up to survive in the cruel world. I don’t agree.

That “toughness” is so often brokenness, hardening.

I want to raise children who feel confident and secure because they know they were loved no matter what.

I want to raise children who expect to be treated well and treat others well too because that’s what they’ve always known.

“Tough” isn’t my goal. Strong in the face of adversity, sure, but that strength comes from love and security.
