Yes, that feels good. I just deleted all my music from Spotify.

Want to know why?

1) Spotify CEO invests in military AI
Spotify’s CEO, Daniel Ek, invested over $113 million in Helsing AI, a company developing AI-powered defense technology. As musicians, we don’t create art to support more efficient killing machines.

2) CEO's controversial claim: music creation is "free"
Daniel Ek has stated that content creation, including music, is "free" or costs very little. This may be true for him, considering how little Spotify compensates artists, but for musicians like me, the reality is very different. My equipment alone costs more than a standard car, and that’s not even accounting for the investment in music education, distribution fees, mastering, and other production costs.

3) Unfair compensation model
Spotify’s payment structure is deeply flawed. Only around 0.4% of musicians on the platform make enough to earn a livable wage. Furthermore, the first 1000 streams don’t earn artists any money. Meanwhile, Daniel Ek has made more money from Spotify in a single year than some of the most successful musicians have throughout their entire careers.

4) Low audio quality on Spotify
The sound quality on Spotify is notably poor due to the heavy compression they apply. Compared to platforms like Bandcamp, which offer high-fidelity downloads, the difference is significant. Listening to low-bitrate music for extended periods can diminish your overall listening experience and even impact your brain's perception of sound.

5) Closer contact with listeners
I value direct interactions with my audience, which is why I prefer platforms like YouTube and Bandcamp. On Bandcamp, I can see who buys my music, engage with listeners directly, and build stronger connections with my community.

So, see you somewhere else 🙂
The next cosy Didgeridoo Event is coming up and I'll accompany Sofie Binder on the stage with Didgeridoo and some small percussion (not the big set). The other acts of the evening will be Andrea Ferroni Freddie Veggie with his big band :)

Hey! I've recorded a track especially for breathwork. One bar is one breath circle. So two beats - breathe in, two beats - breathe out. I know here are some breathworkers in the group. So please give it a try and give me a feedback how it worked. https://youtu.be/7ku53IUmK2U
Next gig coming up: 30.5.2025 @Open Maiberg Air in Karlstadt.

Hello everyone in this group,

Sooner or later, I will delete my Telegram account. It seems Telegram has a hard time getting the spam problem under control. Lately, I’ve been receiving annoying messages almost daily, and even this group has been targeted by spammers. That means I constantly have to stay alert and remove people manually.

I no longer want to support this kind of system, but I still really want to stay in touch with you and keep you informed about upcoming concerts and events.

If you’d like to continue receiving updates, please visit my website and sign up for the newsletter (at the bottom of the page)
That way, we’ll stay directly connected.

Thanks a lot, and see you soon!

Update:
I'm playing on 18th of July in Switzerland, close to Bern, in the mountains.
It's a private birthday party but if you want to join, let me know and I'll ask the organiser.

After this gig I'll move again to Portugal.
Who is still there?
I'm glad if you can recommend me places where I can play!

Looking forward seeing you again!
