JAWS, TeamTalk Classic: Heads up, the next script release will remove some keystrokes that already have alternatives, and change a few more, to avoid current and future collisions with TeamTalk itself among other reasons. There will not be any lost functionality. Please read https://www.dlee.org/teamtalk/keytran.htm for details before installing the next script release, which I have not released yet. A link to this document will of course also appear in the script release notes when I send a release out. At this writing, the document is a draft and may change before final release, which is why there is a timestamp and not just a date in its top-level heading.
JAWS, TeamTalk Classic: Script revision 294 is released at https://www.dlee.org/teamtalk/classic/
After much work hammering out the interface, I am done tweaking the TeamTalk classic script keystrokes. The primary focus of this update is to stop interfering with current and possible future TeamTalk keystrokes. There are also other minor items included, all listed in the revision history
Also, an apology: If you read https://www.dlee.org/teamtalk/keytran.htm yesterday as I suggested, read it again because a lot had to change before I could make everything work well. The script release notes of course also point to that document.

General, JAWS Alert Manager (JAM): Revision 86 released at https://www.dlee.org/jam/ in time for use with this year's virtual conventions:
* Means to spell alerts.
* No more repeat of first/last alert when next/previous navigations encounter an end of the alert store.
* Better verbiage when alert announcement is silenced or unsilenced.
* Addition of a command sequence that may fix some script loading problems under Chrome.

General, JAWS Alert Manager (JAM): In case this is useful, here's how I handle busy Zoom meetings. This can completely avoid the need to navigate chat messages in Zoom itself, and can also permit reading of chat messages even after the meeting is over.
Make JAM silence alerts with JAWSKey+Slash then S. Alerts then click quietly as they arrive, so I can examine them if I wish.
Use JAWSKey+Slash then R to let JAM shorten alerts as much as possible on review.
If I want all Zoom alerts to be stored, I stay out of the Zoom window as much as possible and just review the alerts as I can with JAM. Leaving the Zoom window in focus would prevent most of them from reaching JAM.
If I want to include chat messages in the store and possibly answer them now and then, I leave the Participants panel in Zoom open when I am staying out of Zoom.
If I find, in my JAM store, a chat message I want to answer, I write the answer in Notepad so I can quickly post it without causing messages to fail to go into the JAM store.

NVDA, TeamSpeak: The TeamSpeak add-on is finally ready for NVDA 2021.1. The delay was because I continue to have the unexplained inability to use this add-on in a portable NVDA copy; it only works for me in an actual local installation.

General, bio: Eyes On Success recently interviewed me about my volunteer and professional scripting work and how I came to be a scripter and a software creator in general. That interview is posting today. http://www.EyesOnSuccess.net/eos_2130_podcast.mp3
JAWS, Skype: Script revision 194 released at https://www.dlee.org/skype/ :
* If characters were lost as you typed into a chat or SMS window, this shouldn't happen anymore.
* Very long messages are not cut short in split-window view, and they don't say "region" either.

General, bio: https://www.dlee.org/readouts/ is now a perpetually current index of audio articles that, until today, were not well known, that I have written over the past few months to explain various elements of my beliefs and philosophy. readouts/000 explains how these work and why I call them readouts. More may appear from time to time, and many tend to have a Christian bent.

General, Clubhouse, PSA: I hear in the blind community that Clubhouse will become Shortcut in September. True and false. The Clubhouse project management tool is renaming. But this is because the Clubhouse audio app is so popular now. The audio app is keeping its name. Reference: https://clubhouse.io/blog/clubhouse-changing-our-name-to-shortcut/
Shortcut
Clubhouse's name is now Shortcut
They say there are no shortcuts in life, and they were mostly right about that. Until now. Goodbye Clubhouse. Hello Shortcut.
JAWS, Skype: Script revision 197 posted at https://www.dlee.org/skype/
Features include [ B for reading Skype Credit balance and a few fixes to chat handling.
Heads up, I expect the next script release, not this one, to run alongside the Vispero JAWS scripts instead of replacing them. That will also include raising the minimum JAWS version from 17.0 to 2018. This current release should be the last release before I do that.

NVDA, PSA: There is now a rapidly budding, searchable source for NVDA add-ons at https://nvda-addons.org
I see 286 add-ons so far, and I think this is its first day of official service. You can look for add-ons by name, words in description, or other criteria. There is also a newsletter option for receiving notification of updates.
This is not my project; I'm just advertising it; and it looks cool to me. A few things are still being worked out, such as publication dates for some add-ons that say 1970 until updated.

JAWS, NVDA, TeamTalk, PSA: Read https://www.dlee.org/teamtalk/ and what follows for tools, JAWS scripts, etc.
The TeamTalk Classic client was declared legacy today - good, not bad, though sooner than I predicted. It will remain for a while but with reduced updates. We can now use the regular Qt client with much more accessibility than before.
For a migration tool and guide, JAWS scripts for the Qt client, etc., see my TeamTalk resource page: https://www.dlee.org/teamtalk/
For the official Classic client fate announcement, and directions for migration without my tool, see https://bearware.dk/?p=1212

JAWS, TeamTalk: New scripts for the Qt client, which is gradually replacing the Classic client as our best accessible solution - see also my previous post. https://www.dlee.org/teamtalk/qt/
JAWS, TeamTalk Qt: Script revision 357 for the Qt client posted, with nine fixes, mostly for the handling of combo, edit combo, and spinner fields. https://www.dlee.org/teamtalk/qt/
JAWS Alert Manager (JAM): Revision 88 released at https://www.dlee.org/jam/ to fix the directives file, shorten the end-of-store sound, and possibly fix a problem during installation of ConfigNames.ini not being fully updated. This problem appears to be at the Windows level though, and I am not able to reproduce it here though I saw at least one report of it. The symptom is that some JAM keys don't work as expected but may start working on a reinstall of JAM.
Correction to JAM announcement: The file troubled by incomplete updates for a few people is default.jkm, not ConfigNames.ini.
TeamTalk, TTCom: Revision 1262 is posted with some nine enhancements; read release notes and find the download from https://www.dlee.org/ttcom/#hist

* Support for BearWare accounts as required on some public and professional TeamTalk servers.
* New man and www commands for finding documentation.
* The current server's shortname is shown as part of the TTCom prompt.
* A "prefix" shortcut for repeated messaging with one person.
* A nickLimit command to cut off long nicknames in channel summaries and such.
* A few new features to improve support for TeamTalk 5.8.1 servers.
* Documentation enhancements.

General, Audir, Virtual Audio Cable (VAC): Audir revision 408 is posted at https://www.dlee.org/audir with eight enhancements, including approximate FM radio simulation effects, better handling of wide terminals, and support for the SoX -d option for default devices. See the Revision History section for details. Note that I welcome input on how to make the FM simulations more accurate.
JAWS, Slack, Microsoft Teams: Anyone using my scripts for either of these: If you hear message text in a strange order, use the sequence [ F to change the message format to Native. Both Slack and Teams have been making significant changes to message format recently. I may address issues like [ number sequences not working sometime soon, but I want the message formats to settle down first.
JAWS, Skype: Script revision 203 posted; DO NOT use BX Update. Get the full installer from the download link at https://www.dlee.org/skype/
* Vispero Skype scripts work alongside these, so Vispero keystrokes work. This change is why BX Update is not enough for this update.
* The minimum supported JAWS version is raised from 17.0 to 2018 to accommodate the above inclusion safely.
* Call duration, played voicemail time, and perhaps other extra items speak where appropriate in chat history.
