Some people say that computer skills should be added to primary subjects in elementary school, such as reading, writing, and math.
How far do you agree or disagree?
It is often argued that pupils should be taught computer skills in addition to subjects like math, reading, and writing in their elementary school. This essay totally agrees with this viewpoint. I believe that in this contemporary world, learning computer skills from an early age plays a significant role not only in a professional but also in a personal life.
First of all, as technology continues to advance, the demand for individuals with strong tech skills is increasing. I think that by learning and enhancing their digital literacy alongside primary subjects, students can better prepare themselves for future job opportunities in a variety of fields. A good example of this can be none other than Mark Zuckerberg. He spent most of his time in school learning about computers as he had a strong interest in this field. Thanks to this, he is now the CEO of two big social media platforms such as Instagram and Facebook.
Secondly, learning tech skills in elementary school alongside primary subjects like math, reading, and writing can improve students' creativity, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills. For instance, by working through coding challenges and troubleshooting technical issues, pupils can enhance their ability to think creatively and logically. Moreover, through coding and programming, youngsters can create their own digital projects, games, and websites allowing them to express themselves in new and exciting ways.
In conclusion, in my view school students should start learning computer skills from elementary school as it is very important for preparing them for the digital world and equipping them with the tools they need to succeed in the future.
