💌 The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said:
“Convey from me, even if it is one verse.”

From the signs that Allah loves you is that He tests you.

There are two types of tests:
One is being tested with goodness and blessings.

These are also tests. Allah grants you goodness as a trial,
as Sulayman, peace be upon him, said:

لِيَبْلُوَنِى ءَاَشْكُرُ اَمْ اَكْفُرُ

(The meaning of which is:)
"To test me whether I am grateful or ungrateful."

The other type is when Allah takes blessings away from you.
He may test you with poverty, poor health, and so on.

He may remove things from you, and calamities might befall you. These are also tests - to see whether you will be patient
for the sake of Allah, 'azza wa jall, or not.

Is Wiping the Neck in Wudu A Bid'ah?
I don't like bickering about petty issues but a particular sect keep calling the masah of the neck a bid'ah. I don't do it as well but it's really egoistic to call some mustahab to be a bid'ah.

Establishing its authenticity:
•The Primary Evidence is weak ↓
"Musaddad said : Prophet ﷺ wiped his head from front to back until he brought his hands back from below the ears (neck)"
Sunan Abu Dawood 132 - Weak

•The Secondary Evidence
The Ummah is Ghurran Muhajjileen (lustrous with white marking) i.e. the area wherever the Wudu's water reached, that area will be shining in Afterlife.
Sahih al-Bukhari 136, Sahih Muslim 246

That Area struck by Wudu water will also be adorned with jewellery in Jannah.
Sahih al-Bukhari 5953, Sahih Muslim 250

Abu Hurayra رضي الله عنه used to wash his Shoulders and Calves in Wudu as well
Sahih Muslim 246

————————————
"The People of Paradise will wear Crown and Bracelets of Gold and Silver"
Surah Al-Hajj, 22:23
Surah Kahf, 18:31
Surah Fatir, 35:33

→ These adornments mentioned in Qur'an are the places where Wudu water reaches normally.

"The People of Paradise will be wearing Necklaces and they'll enter Jannah"
Sahih al-Bukhari 7439

→ This hadith is in accordance with Qur'an.
Thus, the place mentioned here, i.e. Necklace (which is worn on Neck) should also be the place where Wudu water reaches.

Therefore, Wiping over neck is not an innovation but a recommended act.

We may recite this dua because the wording itself is an excellent and completely permissible dua.

DO NOT TAKE BIDDAH LIGHTLY ❗️

The Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) said:

"Some of my companions will come to me at Al-Ḥauḍ (Al-Kauthar) and after I recognize them, they will then be taken away from me, where upon I will say: 'My companions!'

Then it will be said: 'You do not know what they innovated (new things) in the religion after you.'"
Sahih Bukhari 6582

Please Be Careful and keep this hadith in mind In sha Allah. Do not participate or engage yourself in any Bid'ah.

Maqām Maḥmūd — The Praiseworthy Station

Maqām Maḥmūd (المقام المحمود) means “the Praiseworthy Station.” It is the great station Allah has promised to Prophet Muhammad ﷺ on the Day of Resurrection, which the authentic Sunnah explains in connection with the Great Intercession (al-Shafāʿah al-Kubrā).

1. The Qur'anic Evidence

«“And rise at ˹the last˺ part of the night, offering additional prayers, so your Lord may raise you to a station of praise.”»
Surah Al-Isrāʾ 17:79 (https://quran.com/17/79)

This is the only place in the Qur'an where the expression "Maqām Maḥmūd" is explicitly mentioned.

2. What is Maqām Maḥmūd?

Ibn ʿUmar رضي الله عنهما narrated that on the Day of Resurrection, people will seek intercession from the prophets until they come to Muhammad ﷺ.

The Prophet ﷺ said that this will be the day Allah raises him to Maqām Maḥmūd.
Sahih al-Bukhari 4718 (https://sunnah.com/bukhari/65/240)

The authentic hadith explains this Praiseworthy Station in connection with the Prophet’s ﷺ Great Intercession on the Day of Resurrection.

3. How does the Great Intercession occur ?

On the Day of Resurrection, mankind will seek someone to intercede with Allah.

They will go to:

Ādam عليه السلام → Nūḥ عليه السلام → Ibrāhīm عليه السلام → Mūsā عليه السلام → ʿĪsā عليه السلام

Eventually, they will come to Muhammad ﷺ.

He will go before Allah, prostrate, and Allah will grant him permission to intercede.

Allah will say to him, in meaning:

«“Raise your head. Ask, and you will be given; intercede, and your intercession will be accepted.”»
Sahih al-Bukhari 4476
(https://sunnah.com/bukhari:4476)

4. Virtues of the Prophet ﷺ connected to this station

The Prophet ﷺ said:

«“I will be the leader of the children of Adam on the Day of Resurrection, the first intercessor and the first whose intercession will be accepted.”»
Sahih Muslim 2278 (https://sunnah.com/muslim/43/3)

This demonstrates the tremendous honour Allah has given Muhammad ﷺ on the Day of Resurrection.

5. The Duʿāʾ after the Adhān

The Prophet ﷺ taught us to ask Allah to grant him this station:

اللَّهُمَّ رَبَّ هَذِهِ الدَّعْوَةِ التَّامَّةِ، وَالصَّلَاةِ الْقَائِمَةِ، آتِ مُحَمَّدًا الْوَسِيلَةَ وَالْفَضِيلَةَ، وَابْعَثْهُ مَقَامًا مَحْمُودًا الَّذِي وَعَدْتَهُ

Meaning:
«“O Allah, Lord of this perfect call and established prayer, grant Muhammad al-Wasīlah and al-Faḍīlah, and raise him to the Praiseworthy Station which You have promised him.”»

The Prophet ﷺ said that whoever says this after the Adhān will receive his intercession on the Day of Resurrection.
Sahih al-Bukhari 4719 (https://sunnah.com/bukhari:4719)

Point to ponder: This small act—reciting this duʿāʾ after the adhān—takes only a short time, yet the Prophet ﷺ promised that whoever says it will receive his intercession on the Day of Resurrection.

6. An important point about intercession

Intercession belongs to Allah and occurs only by His permission.

«“Say, ‘To Allah belongs all intercession.’”»
Surah Az-Zumar 39:44

And Allah says:
«مَن ذَا الَّذِي يَشْفَعُ عِندَهُ إِلَّا بِإِذْنِهِ»

«“Who is it that can intercede with Him except by His permission?”»
Surah Al-Baqarah 2:255

Therefore, the Prophet ﷺ intercedes, but intercession ultimately belongs to Allah and occurs only by His permission.

✦Sahih al-Bukhari 6316 — The Dua' of Nūr
Ṣaḥīḥ al-Bukhārī 6316 (https://sunnah.com/bukhari:6316?utm_source=chatgpt.com

The Prophet ﷺ said:

“O Allah, place light in my heart, light in my sight, light in my hearing, light on my right, light on my left, light above me, light beneath me, light before me, light behind me, and grant me light.”
————————————
✦ . ⁺ . ✦ . ⁺ . ✦
————————————
•Context & Timing

Ibn ʿAbbās رضي الله عنهما spent the night with Maymūnah رضي الله عنها and observed the Prophet ﷺ wake during the night, perform wuḍūʾ and pray. The narration places this duʿāʾ within the context of his night worship.

Bukhārī's chapter heading is:

باب الدعاء إذا انتبه بالليل
“Chapter: The invocation when one wakes up during the night.”

Therefore, it is not established specifically as a duʿāʾ to recite after the 2 rakʿahs of Fajr Sunnah. Ibn Ḥajar رحمه الله discusses narrations indicating that the Prophet ﷺ said it during/around the completion of his night prayer.
————————————
✦ . ⁺ . ✦ . ⁺ . ✦
————————————
•What does “Nūr” mean?

Nūr literally means light. In Fatḥ al-Bārī, Ibn Ḥajar رحمه الله discusses the explanations of al-Qurṭubī and al-Ṭībī رحمهما الله.

The meaning includes guidance, knowledge, understanding, clarification and illumination of truth, and this guidance appears in one's actions and obedience.

- Heart: knowledge, understanding and guidance.
- Hearing: clarity in what is heard.
- Sight: clarity in what is seen.
- Actions: being guided to obedience.
- Every direction: being surrounded by guidance and protection.

The scholars also mention a literal meaning of light, so the spiritual explanation does not necessarily exclude actual light.
————————————
✦ . ⁺ . ✦ . ⁺ . ✦
————————————
•Qur'anic connection
Allah says:

“So is one whose heart Allah has opened to Islam, so he is upon a light from his Lord…”
Qur'an 39:22

And:

“…We gave him a light by which he walks among the people…”
Qur'an 6:122

And regarding the revelation:

“…but We have made it a light by which We guide whom We will of Our servants.”
Qur'an 42:52

Thus, nūr is closely connected with Allah's guidance and the truth.

✦In short
This duʿāʾ is a comprehensive request:
“O Allah, illuminate my heart, my understanding, my senses, my actions and every direction with Your guidance, knowledge and truth; increase me in nūr and protect me from darkness and misguidance.”
There are also other authentic wordings, including وَعَظِّمْ لِي نُورًا — “increase/magnify my light” — and وَاجْعَلْنِي نُورًا — “make me a light.”

The Command Of Allaah To Obey Him & Obey His Messenger

Allaah said:

«Indeed in the Messenger of Allaah you have a good example to follow for him who hopes for [the Meeting with] Allaah and the Last Day, and remembers Allaah much.» [33:21]

Ibn Katheer said:

❝This noble Ayaah is a major principle in taking the Messenger of Allaah [ﷺ] as an example to follow.

Following him in his statements, his actions and his matters.

This is why Allaah [تبارك وتعالى] commanded the people to take the Prophet [ﷺ] as an example on the day of Al-Ahzab [the battle of the trench when all the tribes gathered to fight the Muslims] in regards to his patience, forbearance, determination, his striving and waiting for relief from his Lord [عز و جل].❞

JANNAH & JAHANNAM

Hadith:
1. The path to Jannah and Jahannam

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said:

“When Allah created Paradise, He said to Jibrīl: ‘Go and look at it.’ He went and looked at it, then came and said: ‘O my Lord! By Your might, no one who hears of it will fail to enter it.’
He then surrounded it with disagreeable things and said: ‘Go and look at it, Jibrīl.’ He went and looked at it, then came and said: ‘O my Lord! By Your might, I am afraid that no one will enter it.’

When Allah created Hell, He said: ‘Go and look at it, Jibrīl.’ He went and looked at it, then came and said: ‘O my Lord! By Your might, no one who hears of it will enter it.’

He then surrounded it with desirable things and said: ‘Go and look at it, Jibrīl.’ He went and looked at it, then came and said: ‘O my Lord! By Your might and power, I am afraid that no one will remain who does not enter it.’”

Reference: Sunan Abī Dāwūd 4744
Grading: Hasan Sahih — al-Albānī.

✦Benefits from the Hadith

1. Believing that Paradise and Hellfire exist now.

2. It is obligatory to believe in the unseen and all that is said by Allah and His Messenger (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him).

3. Patience over hardships is necessary, for these are the means leading to Paradise.

4. Avoiding the prohibitions is necessary, for they are the means leading to Hellfire.

5. Surrounding Paradise with hardships and Hellfire with desires are the objects of trial and test in the life of this world.

6. The path to Paradise is hard and arduous, and it requires patience and struggle along with faith. And the path to Hellfire abounds with worldly pleasures and desires.

Source : https://hadeethenc.com/en/browse/hadith/65034

Hadith:
2. How close Jannah and Jahannam are

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said:
“Paradise is nearer to any of you than the strap of his shoe, and so is the Fire.”

Ref : Sahih al-Bukhari 6488
Also included in Riyad as-Salihin.

✦Guidance from the Hadith:

1. The individual may say a word or do something out of the pleasure of Allah without considering how significant it is, yet it takes him to the bliss of Paradise.

In contrast, the individual may say a word or do something of the displeasure of Allah without considering how significant it is, yet it ditches him in the depth of hellfire.

2. Providing examples when educating ensures better understanding.

Words in the Hadith:
“the straps on his sandals”: this is an expression that signifies how close something is.

Ref : Riyad as-Salihin, 105

If You Wish To Be Safe From All Harms Recite This Every Day And Night.

The Messenger of Allāh ﷺ said: “No slave (of Allāh) says in the morning everyday and in the evening every night;

‘Bismillaahi Alladhee Laa Yaḍurru Ma’-Asmihee Shayi`un Fil Arḍi Walaa Fis Samaa`i Wahuwas Samee’-Ul-‘Aleem’

(In the Name of Allāh, the One with whose Name nothing can harm on the earth and in the heaven and He is All-Hearing and All-Knowing.)

THREE times (except) then he WOULDN’T BE HARMED BY ANYTHING.”

The Imaam, the famous Mufassir al-Qurṭubee Raḥimahullāh said regarding this Ḥadeeth:

“This is a correct report and a truthful saying, we know of its validity by proof and experience for indeed since I heard it, I acted upon it then nothing harmed me until I abandoned it, I was stung by a scorpion in Madeenah one night so I pondered upon it and relaised this is (only) when I forgot to seek refuge (with Allāh) by these words.”
