🔥This video contains tips to improve your toot 🔥 Link in the first comment. The "D minor" is an exceptional didgeridoo, with its toots precisely tuned to the minor scale of D across its first six resonances. This unique tuning allows for the creation of melancholic melodies while preserving a warm, rounded sound. Koji Matsumoto showcases his first attempt at playing this instrument with a brief improvisation.

I have two "D minor" available. Let me know if you are interested https://youtu.be/AFv9lyysUkw

KickStarter Didgeridoo - The extended review by Matteo Morbidelli, Italy www.kickstarter-didgeridoo.com
The Opinion of a Proficient Student
I own several didgeridoos, some of which I tried to create myself in the past, and others that I purchased here and there. I already knew how to make them sound fairly well, but the turning point was buying a KickStarter in E created by Andrea.

This instrument immediately made me understand where and what I was doing wrong with the other instruments, what the differences in sound pressure were with the much lower-pitched instruments I owned, and where I needed to focus in my practice to “fine-tune” my technique. Let’s say that the Kickstarter helped me significantly in understanding how a good instrument should sound, and as a result, I always use it for practice and as a “reference didj” when something doesn’t work well with other instruments, helping me overcome my limits.

The frustration and feeling of not being able to play certain things vanished with the Kickstarter; if you can’t play something with the Kickstarter, keep practicing because the problem lies with you and not the instrument, at least for the things I intend to learn at the moment. It’s a beautiful instrument to look at, very comfortable and satisfying to play, with good output volume, and it’s indeed an excellent instrument/friend to progress in practice, also very useful alongside more “difficult” instruments with different construction specifications.

Also noteworthy is Andrea’s friendliness and professionalism in providing all the useful clarifications about the instrument and the purchase, which definitely adds value to the handcrafted instrument, carefully designed, and already precious in itself. A purchase that I definitely recommend.

🇬🇧 ENGLISH: VICEVERSA: "TO REMIND THAT THERE ARE ALWAYS NEW WAYS TO PERCEIVE AND APPROACH LIFE"

Perception, and how it can alter our choices and lives, was the core of the event.

I explored human auditory perception and its profound impact on music. Concise yet stimulating insights were designed to inspire the listener to explore the world of sound from different perspectives. Whether you are a musician, a passionate listener, or an engineer, I hope you will find intriguing ideas here to deepen your understanding and appreciation of acoustics.

Among the instruments presented: didgeridoo, Jew's harp, harmonic flute, and harmonic singing.

I would like to thank TEDxBellano once again for their extraordinary effort in creating a splendid, engaging, and enriching event from many perspectives, in a stunning location.

A warm thank you to Shata Diallo for her presentation: an eloquent voice that introduced the themes with grace and depth, enriching the event experience, and a speaker from the previous edition.

Buon ascolto a tutti!
🇬🇧 ENGLISH
A few months ago, I published the audio of 25 didgeridoos without any videos, asking the public to guess the material just by listening to the sound. Unfortunately, only about fifteen people responded... Maybe some of you participated and would like to see the results.
Was 25 instruments too many to listen to all at once? Or was it more complicated than expected to recognize the material from the sound alone?
Doing statistical analysis with such small numbers doesn't make much sense. However, if you feel like it, just for yourselves, try closing your eyes, imagining the instrument, and see if your imagination is confirmed by the sound.
Enjoy listening, everyone! 🎶

*ENGLISH:* We should have understood by now that the material influences the sound in a way that is imperceptible to the microphone. Aren't you convinced yet?
Here you can find my book "The Design of the Didgeridoo", 186 pages: https://www.didgeridoo.it/prodotto/progettazione-del-didgeridoo-libro/
But what changes if we change the shape? In this video I show you exactly the internal shape of three instruments. You will be able to listen to the sound of each one and get an idea: https://youtu.be/VPHBNdmEEWM
These are three prototypes made for an important American client, three starting shapes from which to choose only one, refine it in intonation and acoustic characteristics.
I could have varied the shape and timbre more, but the requirements of the initial project had to always provide a clear and clean sound to be able to play in a band. Therefore, the bell is always limited to 7 cm.
Opinions? impressions? can you perceive differences? of what magnitude?

🇮🇹 ITALIANO SOTTO:

🇬🇧 ENGLISH: THE DIDGERIDOO CLUB
The Monthly WEBINAR for Didgeridoo Player

Over the past few months, I’ve gathered numerous pieces of feedback that reflect a common desire: to grow musically, to connect with other enthusiasts, to discover new sounds, and to overcome the challenge of feeling alone or distant from other players.
I understand how frustrating it can be to feel isolated, without stimulation or new ideas. This situation can even pull you away from the instrument, leaving a path unfinished that has only just begun to bear fruit. However, passion needs constant nurturing, and nothing out there can offer you a true opportunity for growth and belonging to a community with which to share this journey.

That’s why I’m happy to introduce a new initiative designed to meet this need:
An exclusive webinar
THE “DIDGERIDOO CIRCLE”
Every first Monday of the month from 9:00 PM to 10:00 / 10:15 PM (CET)

It’s a chance to:

* Learn new didgeridoo techniques
* Discover the latest news in the world of didgeridoo
* Engage with other enthusiasts and players

Feel part of a group where you can grow and share your journey
The session will be structured as a 45-minute lecture with the opportunity to interact and ask questions. The last 15 to 30 minutes will be dedicated to questions beyond the main topic and for choosing the next month’s lesson theme.

Participants will have exclusive access to the recorded lessons. I encourage you to attend live, but if you miss a session, don’t worry!

Each session costs €25, but there are:

* An annual subscription option
* An offer for mailing list subscribers (write me privately to be added)
* A special offer for my students, attendees of the Didgeridoo Retreat, and anyone who has purchased an instrument in 2024.
If that’s you and you haven’t received communication about it, let me know

"The DIDGERIDOO CLUB"
The Monthly Webinar for English speakers.

Additionally, we’ll be selecting interesting topics each time, and the best content will be transcribed into articles or compiled into periodic books I’m working on.
Not only will you get something useful for yourself, but you’ll also be part of a unique initiative.

Don’t miss this opportunity to take a step forward in your musical journey and become part of something greater.

As always, to avoid any unnecessary expenses, the satisfaction guarantee applies. If after attending the first session you’re not satisfied for any reason, you’ll receive a full 100% refund.
If you'd like to share your feedback with me, I’d be happy to hear it to help improve future sessions.
