We are looking for a Senior DevOps / Architect for our client - an international rapidly growing fintech/prop trading company.
The role will be based in UAE, Dubai!
There are 12 Engineers in a team at the moment.
🛠Stack: Ruby on Rails, Sidekiq, PostgreSQL, RSpec, AWS, Redis, React, Terraform
▪️We are offering:
7000 - 12000 $ net monthly
Fulltime office position in Dubai (hybrid mode - after some time)
Very strong tech team
Zero bureaucracy, start-up atmosphere
▪️What kind of qualifications we are looking for:
- 5+ years of experience in the development and administration of IT systems
- Knowledge of AWS Cloud solutions: S3, EC2 , EKS, ECR, RDS, ElastiCache, CloudWatch
- Experience with Infrastructure as code solutions like Terraform and how to establish it
- Experience with containerization solutions and any container orchestration system
- Expertise with build automation and continuous delivery tools
- Good understanding of quality control and test automation in agile-based, continuous integration environments
- Knowledge and hands on experience to deploy a service like Redis, PostgreSQL, or MongoDB
- Strong spoken English (В2/C1) to work with international team and for different work and business purposes
▪️What we are expecting from you:
- Be in charge of CI/CD processes across several development teams and organize end-to-end DevOps processes
- Work closely with the Development team
- Automate deployment of test and integration environments
- Develop infrastructure solutions for organizing container-virtualization platforms
- Implement application monitoring processes and health-checks

Essential Qualifications

- 7+ years total engineering or operational experience

- Experience within large and complex global enterprises defined by high availability, transaction rates, and geographical distribution.
- Banking sector experience
- Conversational English
Essential Knowledge & Skills
- Automated build/deployment pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, ArgoCD) for Python based projects.
- Automation using tools like Ansible.
- Containerization (Docker or Podman)
- Python programming experience required.
- Data or Machine learning CI/CD pipelines
- Linux OS including shell scripting.
- Container management (Kubernetes/OpenShift)
- Helm based pipelines.
- Automating security/regulatory checks
- Automated patching
Production support (typically done on rotation)
- Agile engineering and practices
- Networking fundamentals
- Security engineering practice and tools
Nice to have
- Machine Learning projects
Delivery Experience
- Ability to work on projects from inception to delivery exhibiting our core values - Collaboration,
Ownership, Drive and Enterprising.
- Cross skills in delivery but also operational support as per new DevOps methodologies
- Comprehensive understanding of DevOps / SRE, IaC and 12 Factor application principles
- Ability to work under pressure, manage client expectations effectively.
- Stay up to date with industry best practices and emerging technologies.
