We are looking for a System Engineer for our client - an US-based IT product company in the fintech domain (systematic quantitative hedge fund).
The Systems Engineer will be responsible for Linux systems and storage infrastructure. You will work closely with developers, trading operations and other business units to ensure the smooth functioning of all systems and applications. Our Systems Engineer will be a key participant in the design and deployment of future infrastructure initiatives.
Location: Armenia, (hybrid mode with 3 days in-office requirement)
🛠Stack: Linux servers, Zabbix, TICK stack, ELK stack, Bash, Python, Hadoop

What kind of qualifications we are looking for:
▪️Extensive knowledge of storage platforms and filesystems
▪️Extensive automation experience with tools such as Ansible or Salt
▪️Experience with virtualization platforms, preferably VMWare
▪️Experience with containerization and orchestration tools such as Docker and Kubernetes
▪️Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
▪️Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
▪️Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
▪️5+ years of experience in systems infrastructure operations or related field
▪️Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python or Bash
▪️Strong spoken English (В2/C1) to work with international team
What we are expecting from you:
📍Manage and monitor Linux server and storage infrastructure
📍Troubleshoot all production Linux systems and storage-related incidents
📍Automate operational processes
📍Collaborate with other infrastructure team members, developers, traders, middle and back office support, compliance and management
📍Develop and maintain systems that adhere to compliance regulations and security best practices and standards
📍Develop and maintain documentation of systems configurations and procedures
📍Participate in on-call support rotation in a 24 x 7 environment
📍Provide day-to-day technical support and guidance to end-users
📍Implement infrastructure changes during scheduled maintenance windows
