Under the proposed changes, platforms like Meta and X would be required to block access for underage users unless they prove their age. The message is clear: if Big Tech won’t self-regulate, these countries plan to flex their economic weight to make it happen.

France’s former Prime Minister Gabriel Attal has gone as far as proposing a full ban on social media for anyone under 15, and curfews for teens to fight internet addiction. Spain is considering a similar approach, with a government panel recommending a ban on all connected tech for children under 16. Australia, for its part, has already enacted a strict ban on under-16s opening social media accounts.

The fight to reclaim childhood from the screen is turning into a global campaign—and Europe’s now leading the charge.

So, I once had an idea on how to become the perfect partner. And that's to cultivate "an attitude" with two main elements:

1. Pretend your girl is a CIA fed asset that has been sent to spy on and eventually kill you.

2. You knowing this, decide to love her anyway.

The aim isn't to not be killed. Being killed is treated as inevitable. Instead the aim is to get a single tear or look of regret in the final moment.
