We do not look at an artwork, it is the artwork that stares at us when created. The distance of the subject and object therefore eliminates. The subject and the object are replaced and even combined. This video tends to stare at the viewer’s soul so it could create a relationship of truth. Art has been a form of such will. The will to truth.

While there is no closure for the events and nostalgia in our political and social sphere, emergence and downfall of Mosaddegh would remain desirable forever and an Iranian could not and should not forget about him.
Studying political figures and scientific analysis of an incident are efficient in different aspects. Initially, it represents a part of society’s approach towards that episode and next, it brings us closer to that character.

After returning from ICC, (The International Criminal Court), Mosaddegh nationalised Iran oil industry. His legacy lasted until it became a memory.

For me, the image of the coup is the court scene they held for Dr Mohammad Mosaddegh in August of 1953; it is a synopsis of a nation’s failure to reach for freedom and justice throughout its history. It could be the image of each and every one of us; thirsty for freedom and incapable of confronting high walls of colonialism.

Today marks the rebellion of doves,

head against the window and wings brushing the vault,

And two revolting hands of mine

On every vague vessel.

The languid legs are on strike

and the mind of my senses,

stupefied by the paradox of ballots


Tomorrow,

setting the feathers of the colorful collared dove aflame,

It is as if in the field of politics and social relations, we have always been caught in the dichotomy of service and betrayal. Mohammad Mosaddegh and his patriotism and struggle against tyranny are still alive right here; It is as if we have remained together for a century and are constantly living in the same situation. I wish it were otherwise, but in my opinion, the verdict of the court of tyranny for Mosaddegh will be a constant and present sorrow throughout our history.

The nationalisation of the oil industry was one of Dr Mohammad Mosaddegh’s anti-colonial accomplishments. His ambitions, though not much approved by the West, were so close to today’s generations’ wishes. They have confessed that Operation Ajax was planned to fulfil 1953 Coup de’ état. Accused of attempt for endangering the royal reign, he was dismissed from his position, arrested and sentenced to a-three-year imprisonment. He was put in house arrest in Ahmadabad until his death.

In his statement announced at Iran National Parliament, prior to his journey to Security Council in 1951, Dr Mohammad Mosaddegh discussed that the glory of a national fight lies in taking fate in their own hands in spite of years and centuries of close pressure and cruelty and unjust intrusions and invasions, and prove to the world that this living nation deserves maintaining their independence and heritage of their ancestors; may their sound of freedom is heard through. For, no society or nation would not succeed in overcoming colonialism without effort.

Dr Mohammad Mosaddegh is an anti-colonialism and Iran’s most important political figure within the last century who, regardless of all extracted documents and data, still remains a mystery for me. He stood and fought. His hand resembles many hands who aimed at making this land.

The synaesthesia of the sublime order and the ridiculous order is a combination of (types of) discourses, applied here to create a difference.
In this piece, the political event and a game on a cellphone (Nokia Snake) have overlapped to design an unpredictable interpretation in order to challenge the presumptions.
